chapter 8, a new friend

I didn't realize I fell asleep,

I woke up and looked at the clock. It was almost time for school.

I got up and got ready. I didn't have the motivation to do anything.

I left the house and walked to school. Suddenly, Liam from my class came up to me.

'Hey Olivia, is it true your mom is with Mia's dad now?' He asked.

Wait what.

'How do you know?" I asked.

'Oh the whole school found out. Andrew told us' he said

Andrew.

Andrew Davis?

'It's not like I like you!'

Him?

I suddenly got tense.

'Are you sure it was him?' I asked Liam

'Yes Olivia! Andrew Davis' He said.

Suddenly my dull heart was full of rage.

I was already upset from yesterday and now, he told the whole school my secret.

'Hey, hey it's okay Olivia' Liam said realizing I was upset

'I don't know what to say Liam,' I said, clenching my fist.

'Do you want to talk about it?' He asked, walking with me.

I looked at him.

-Should I or should I not?- I thought.

Liam wouldn't be the person to leave after hearing someone's story. What could go wrong?

I nodded and started telling him the story.

When I finished telling him the story we were already at school.

'Wow, Olivia. I'm so sorry. I can't believe Andrew would do that, you deserve better' Liam said.

'I don't want a new person. I want Andrew.' I thought to myself

'Thanks Liam but I don't know if I can move on' I said sadly

'You can Olivia, But you're still in love with Andrew' He said

Which was true.

Liam and I talked for a little while before I went to class.

Is this a new friendship?
