Every evolution has the chance of having to awaken an ability, but it is not true for each level upgrade at all.
That is where Xin's special ability kick-in. Not only it was able to tell, what Xin need for the evolution of his monster or other monsters.
But he was also able to see the extra material which can raise the chances of additional ability and above by 70%.
For example, +2 skill can have a 100% rate of awakening 1 ability or skill of a monster, but the chances of having more than one will be 70% and lower than it.
Here Skill is related to passive boosting power, which can be related to [Hard fist], and [Thunder quick] to enhance agility.
On the other hand, Ability is a method to release starlight energy out of the body. They are super rare to find and awaken, which is the reason why Xin 70% is very precious for any trainer.
Xin closed his eyes, as he clear his mind and return to a point of blankness, and looked at the berserk Bunny in front of him.
"You wanted to evolve then follow me, I will evolve you in the most optimum state, so are you ready for it or not." Hearing Xin.
All the seniors around that area turned silent and stifled, given it was the first time they heard a man asking a monster so directly and in a human tongue that is.
