Lower Five

Yami, Tanjiro, and Inosuke continued moving into the forest. They came to a river and Tanjiro said "Smells like thunder." Yami listened and did indeed hear the song of Thunder but there were no clouds.

In another part of the forest

Zenitsu was laying down on a house that was suspended in mid-air by threads. Hiro flashed over him and grinned as he said "That's the coolest thing, I've ever seen, kid." Zenitsu said "Looks like I'm dead. Great." Hiro chuckled and poured a healing potion in his mouth, knocking him out before disappearing.

Inosuke saw a girl Demon and said "Wait! You damn demon!" he chased after her and a giant Demon with a spider face punched at him. Inosuke jumped back and the Demon punched through the rock path across the river.

Yami looked at Tanjiro and nodded, Tanjiro said "Alright, we got this. Go." Yami ran towards the Demon and slid between it's legs, slashing it's back and making it turn around, showing it's back to Inosuke and Tanjiro.

Yami ran into the forest after the demon girl while Inosuke slashed at the Demon, shouting "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT!?" the Demon turned around and raised his arm to block as Inosuke's swords got lodged in his arm.

Tanjiro jumped over Inosuke and slashed down at the Demon's head, only to be blocked with another arm.

Yami was chasing the demon girl with his hand on his hilt. He listened to the song she was singing and tracked her down. He came across the demon girl and another demon kid, the girl was crying and holding her bloodied face as the boy was looking at her.

The boy looked at Yami and said "What are you looking at? This isn't a play." Yami didn't say anything and shot forward, slashing at the boy demon's neck. The boy slashed out with his own threads as he jumped away, Yami continued the path of the sword and went down before spinning and slashing up.

The girl on the ground had her head severed from her neck, she was stunned. Yami couldn't care less what she was crying about. She was a Demon, he was a Demon Slayer, it's nothing personal. She could be the most pitiful person in the world, but alas. Yami doesn't care at all.

Her song might be sad, but it was still evil. Tamayo's song was gentle and cold but it wasn't evil. This demon has killed humans recently, therefore she could offer herself to him and he would still kill her.

The boy trembled in anger and said "You. Killed. My. Sister." he separated his hands and threads shot out everywhere, slashing everything to pieces. Yami hyper focused and grabbed his sword with 2 hands, dodging the strings carefully and slashing the ones that he couldn't.

He slowly moved forward, slashing in front of him as he approached the raging demon. He suddenly lunged forward and said "Oni Style: 4th Form- Oni Spear through the Emperor." as he thrusted his sword at the Demon's heart.

The demon made a spider web in between his hands and blocked the sword thrust while sliding back and groaning. Yami took his sword back and said "3rd Form- Sickle of the damned." as he slashed sideways, shooting a purple haze air slash at point black range.

The Demon jumped back and sent threads at the slash but they were all severed. He jumped up, looking down as the slash went under him. He suddenly snapped his head back and made a thread barrier.

Yami fell from the sky and his eyes turned purple as he roared "9th Form- Demon King's Vengeance!" the purple haze formed into a giant Oni, who overlapped Yami and slammed down with a giant cleaver.

The Demon's eyes widened and his hair blew away, revealing the 'Lower 5' on his eyeball. Yami slashed down and cut through the threads, digging his sword into the Demon's flesh and separating him in 2 diagonally from his left shoulder to his right hip.

The Demon was sent flying and smashed into the ground.

The purple haze dissipated and Yami fell from the sky. His eyes widened as threads shot at him, he blocked with his sword and he was blasted through a tree and sent rolling on the ground. He groaned and looked up to see the Demon re-attach himself with threads and say "You're making me really angry."

His hands turned red and his threads became red as well, he shouted "YOU'RE MAKING ME REALLY, REALLY, ANGRY!" as he slashed at Yami, who was struggling to stand up.

Suddenly!

Tanjiro came down from the sky and spun, shouting "Water Wheel!" he slashed down on the threads and smashed them into the ground. The demon clicked his tongue and Nezuko jumped out of the box, attacking the Demon with a kick.

The demon saved and sent a thread at Tanjiro, who blocked with his sword, but got his sword cut in half, Nezuko stopped and pushed Tanjiro out of the way, getting her hand chopped off.

The Demon was stunned and said "She... She... She protected him! A demon!" Yami stood up and teh demon snapped his head at him, shouting "DIE!" as he slashed, Yami slashed the red threads, but only pushed them, unable to cut through.

The threads bent and went for his neck, Yami ducked and the threads overlapped, missing Yami's head entirely but... Yami looked at the pieces of pink and purple cloth on the ground. His eyes widened and he reached out, his hand trembled as he touched the cloth pieces.

His entire body started trembling and he dripped tears onto his hand. He looked up and his eyes were completely red in anger, he picked up the cut scarf end and grabbed his sword, growling "12th Form."

He sucked in and breathed out purple haze as he blurred and reappeared in front of the Demon, finishing "God Annihilation!" he squeezed his sword and roared as he slashed down, then up, then down, then sideways, forming a pentagram before thrusting through the middle, impaling the Demon through the 'Lower 5' eye.

It sounded long, but it happened in a second.

The Demon was stunned as a purple haze pentagon was left floating in the air and his body was shredded to ribbons.

Yami collapsed to his knees and his sword cracked all the way along the blade before crumbling and singing it's last song. Yami looked at the sword in a daze as it sang a happy song but one that was also filled with sadness.

Yami looked up as a red thread flew towards his face.

Suddenly.

The thread as severed as a boy stood in front of Yami and sliced the Demon's head to pieces. Yami looked up at the multi colored kimono. The guy turned around and said "Good job, you two." Yami couldn't move his legs.

He took out a cloth and picked up the pieces of his sword, tearing up as he did so. The boy looked at him silently, as Yami put all the pieces in a clothe and tied the cloth up, putting it in his backpack. He sheathed what was left and hugged the sheath, crying silently.

He gripped the cloth from his scarf and his broken sword and cried.
