Personal Servant?

"How is this even possible?!" He said and started mumbling again. This time his voice was so soft I could hardly hear what he was saying. He glanced at me again as if contemplating something, then as if he made up his mind he nodded to himself and then faced me.

Getting the full view of his destructively handsome face, I couldn't help myself but be mesmerized and for my imaginative brain to start having delusions again. I saw his mouth move but I wasn't able to clearly hear what he said?

"I apologize, Gushiken sama I wasn't paying attention. Can you please repeat what you said?" I asked him while still staring at his face.

"I said, you will be my servant in the meantime. I chucked out the one I had previously due to some mistakes, so while I'm still looking for one I will have you fill the role temporarily." He said.

"But what about the garden? Who will take care of it when I start at the new post?" I asked forgetting about being polite. I was so shocked that he chose me to personally serve him!

"You can still clean up this garden in the morning like you usually do but I expect you to be ready and start your job by 6 AM and then you can go back when I retire to my room. Do you understand?" He said seriously.

What?! Then I have to wake up very early, clean the garden AND serve him with whatever he needs?! When do I get a break?! "Master, I don't think I'm qualified to be your personal servant. I am not graceful enough and don't know anything! I'm not sure if I will be able to satisfy you in any way! And I might become the cause of you being ridiculed by others! I'm not worthy!" I pleaded!

I promise to myself that if I escape this demanding job I will dedicate myself to make this garden beautiful! It will be so beautiful that it will be the envy of the whole mansion! I just hope he will accept my humble refusal!

"What are you talking about? I'm not asking you to be my personal servant! I know that if you became my personal servant I won't be able to hold my head up high in society since you have a murky identity! I just want you to follow me and if I need or forgot something I will have you get it! What are you even thinking about?!" He said.

Good thing there is no one around that could've heard what I said or it will be very embarrassing! He didn't even give me a chance to save my face and had actually seconded what I had said!

So I'll be a fucking gofer then?! Why didn't he just said so the first place and let me misunderstand!? It's a good thing that he's good looking or else I would've slapped a dirty cloth straight to his face for embarrassing me!

"Is that so? Then if it will not be inconveniencing you then I am happy to take your offer, My Lord!" I said with a sarcastic tone.

"Perfect! Now let's go to the office!" He said with a beat and lead the way.

"Wait! Now?!" I exclaimed. I thought that we will start my new job tomorrow, I didn't expect that he will be so random and wants me to start today!

"Yes, now. I'm in a good mood so follow me now and head to my office, I need to finish my report. I haven't finished them since I was busy lately, and then there were pests loitering around the mansion. But since you took care of it now I can complete my reports!" He happily said and even tapped my shoulder in a friendly manner.

I was shocked at his disposition, he was cold and aloof at first, suspicious the next second and now he is happy and in a good mood? He is very confusing. When he was in a good mood earlier I tend to forget myself and spoke rudely to him. I hope that he won't get back at me by making me work nonstop, will he?

I followed him silently and looked at where we were going. Instead of taking the pebbled road that I always take, he led me to the pathway where we will see a man-made lake with a gazebo in the middle of the lake. There are a lot of water lilies and lotus plants floating, I can see there are fish swimming up the water surface to get some air or maybe food?

To get past the lake and enter the side hall of the mansion, we will need to cross the wooden bridge. I like the style of the wooden bridge, it's in a semi arch and it kinda reminds me of an anime movie.

We now entered the side hall and walked towards the inner part of the place.

After walking for a couple of minutes, we reached the middle part of the mansion. I saw that there is an open space and there is a zen garden with a plum tree growing in the middle.

He then turned to the left and opened the sliding door. He signaled for me to follow him and went inside, I immediately walked over and stood by the door. If I remember correctly for gofers I'm just allowed to stand by the door and await orders.

So instead of going inside and get embarrassed again, I stood by the door and faced the garden and wait if he has any orders. I just stared at the garden and admiring how it can calm the mind.

"What are you staring at?" Someone asked near my left ear.

"Wha-!" I was so shocked that I quickly turned my head and I'm like an inch away from Gou's face! Well, I can only call his name inside my head since his last name is sooo long, but I don't want to get punished by speaking his name so casually!

"What are you shouting for? I called you a couple of times but you are not responding and I have to come over to you so that I can have you fetch me some documents! Now come inside and pick up the files at the archives section in the library!" He ordered.

It was just then that I realized that the room was huge, so it serves as his library, archives and his office. I followed his instructions and got the files that he needs but after giving him the files he then ordered me to get him some tea and snacks.

The whole day, I was running around and never had the chance to eat or rest. I'm lucky enough that he wants to rest early or else he would find ways to make me do something! I thought to be his personal servant was the most horrible thing but being a gofer is the worst! He's a demon slave driver!
