In the living room downstairs.
Ford leaned against the sofa and half closed his eyes. His cold face was expressionless.
Ana didn't follow Julia upstairs. Instead, she walked forward and sat on the sofa. She lowered her eyes and said pitifully, "Ford, you haven't come to see me for a long time."
Forf looked up. He said, "Didn't we meet in the parking lot last time?"
The mockery in his tone was self—evident.
In an instant, a gust of cold air flowed down Ana's back and into her mind.
Does he know?
She had held a cello solo show. Ford asked his assistant to take care of her. His arrangement was considerate and thoughtful.
The only unpleasant thing for her was that Ford hadn't seen her from the beginning to the end. She had already lowered her stature to invite him, but he still did not come.
After the performance, when she went to look for him, she was refused to follow him into the hotel.
At that time, she had noticed there were paparazzi, but she deliberately made some specious moves, pretending she was in the hotel with Ford and letting them take pictures.
However, not long after the news was released, it was revoked. She knew who did it.
Ana was smart. When she thought of that, she became nervous.
There was no evidence. She did not need to explain.
Besides, she did nothing and she just took advantage of the situation.
Ana was good at self—relieving. She pursed her lips and said, "You were busy last time and we didn't have a good chat..."
As she spoke, she pinched her palm and squeezed out a few tears, "Ford, you seem to be alienating me recently. Did I do something wrong?"
"No." Ford coldly looked at her and said in a deep voice, "You'd better keep a distance from me. I'm married."
His tone was cold, and the straightforward reminder made her embarrassed.
Ana could not stand the awkward atmosphere anymore, so she got up and went upstairs.
In the room, Gloria looked at her little daughter's pretty face. Her heart was not filled with pleasant but disgust. She regretted leaving DNA in the police station.
She came from a high—end family and paid great attention to her reputation. But her little daughter was her shame. She did not listen to her advice and kept going to prison on vacation.
She did not understand why she was still worried about that murderer when she returned to Country D. Gloria had asked her secretary to deal with her. With a single sentence, she made the murderer promise not to see Julia.
After failing to see her countless times, Julia didn't go there for the past two years. However, Gloria was still worried. She felt that Julia wasn't really compromising. She was stubborn, pretending to not care about anything, but she had her own ideas in her mind.
Gloria couldn't control her and she wanted to send this time bomb far away.
Gloria though that she could manipulate Julia's destiny. She leaned against the pillow and asked calmly, "So do you want to gamble for the next three months, or leaving with fifty million dollars?"
Julia frowned and said, "It seems dangerous. But I still have fifty percent chance to win, don't I?"
Gloria immediately sat up, and she angrily said, "Are you crazy?"
Julia shrugged calmly and suggested, "Or should we raise the chips? How about a hundred million?"
The divorce agreement she signed with Ford was worth 100 million, although it had not been honored.
It was possible that he knew the contents of the confidentiality agreement and was prepared to ask her to leave after three months.
Gloria was furious. Then Ana walked in. Her eyes were red, and it was clear that she had just cried.
She had heard their conversation from outside, but she didn't expect Julia would say that.
A hundred million dollars?
She had never seen such a shameless person!
The humiliation she had got from Ford was still blocking her chest and there was nowhere to vent. She told Gloria to let her talk to Julia and then pulled her into the study.
Julia frowned. These idiots were completely unaware of how pretentious and thick skinned this so-called tender and delicate woman Ana.
After closing the door, Ana smiled sinisterly.
"I turned a blind eye to you because I thought you were a toy. But the situation is different now. You are annoying. Do you really think Ford likes you? He is just playing with something new. When he gets bored, you are nothing for him."
Ana might have learned expression management. Even if she said vicious words, the expression on her face was extremely innocent.
"So I advise you to wake up. For a man, you are a piece of paper when he wants to sneeze. If he don't throw it away, his hands will get dirty."
Julia sneered, "Then why are you uneasy, my sister?"
"You don't like me, it's not me who suffers." Julia leaned against on the chair, at ease and casual.
Only a child would find this childish stimulus useful.
She was an adult.
Ana was furious. She sneered and said, "I can give you one hundred million dollars, but you have to do something as I ask."
Ana thought that the bitch was obviously talking big, but for the sake of a long—term plan, she could afford to pay her.
People were all the same. The more difficult they could get, the more precious those things were.
If she had used her seventy percent of efforts on Ford before, then after being humiliated by him just now, she would put in more than one hundred percent efforts to fight.
She was not resigned to be defeated by her!
How could she not compare to this country bumpkin?
Julia looked at her and smiled, "You are anxious, but I am not."
"Think about it clearly. I won't give you another chance. Either leave with nothing or leave with 100 million dollars."
"Alright, I'll think about it. I am leaving now." Julia stood up and prepared to leave.
"How long do you need?" Ana's eyes turned red as she blocked the way.
Julia thought for a moment and said, "A month."
"Don't worry, I won't be able to have a baby for a month."
Ana was stunned and then she said, "Alright, I'll wait for one month."
After going downstairs, Julia walked in front, and Ana followed behind pitifully. Ford stood with one hand in his pocket and glanced at her.
With a single glance, a bad premonition crossed in Julia's mind.
Suddenly, a sob startled Julia.
Ana's ability to cry in anytime was truly awesome. She choked and said, "Julia, come back and take a look when you are not busy. Mom and I miss you very much."
"Ford, why don't you come here more often?" Ana stared at Ford pitifully.
The room instantly became quiet.
Ford was calm, and he had no intention of responding her.
Ana pursed her lips as if she had been hurt, and as if something had happened between them.
Julia smirked, 'Men are indeed ruthless animals.'
Ford walked out while Julia stood still to watch Ana's performance.
At this time, the man behind her said in a deep voice, "What are you doing there?"
After a while, she followed him. Then, she stopped five steps away from him.
He looked calm as always.
He frowned and looked at the place she was standing at. Then he said impatiently, "Come here."
