Volpina

I groaned as Ladybug dropped down in front of Lie-la and Adrien.

I let out an inhuman sound and banged my head against the fence. Part Two of Operation Stop Lie-la, also failed.

"Well hey, Lie-la," sneered Ladybug. "Long time no see! I saw your interview on the Miraculous Blog, awesome job." I banged my head against the fence again.

Ladybug leaned down to Lie-la's face. "Oh, sure! I remember our instant connection when I saved your life, and we've been really good friends ever since! Practically BFFs!"

Ladybug stopped for a moment, as if to recall something. "Uh, actually," Ladybug said, giving Lie-la the eye. "When did I save your life again, Lie-la? I don't recall...oh yes, of course. Now I remember, NEVER!" Bang number three.

"And we're not friends either!" Ladybug exclaimed, turning to Adrien. "Miss Showoff here was trying to impress you, and everyone around her!"

Lie-la buried her head in her hands sobbing. Kinda serves her right, she shouldn't have lied in the fist place. But the way and reason Ladybug exposed her was really immature.

Adrien slid closer to Lie-la- ew, why- and asked, "So I'm guessing your not a descendant of a superhero either?" Adrien, I love you, but how does your brain come up with such a question?

Ladybug decided to answer for Lie-la. "She's more like a super liar!"

"How dare you!?" Screamed Lie-la. She grabbed her book bag and left.

"Wait, Lila!" Adrien called after her.

Adrien turned back to Ladybug. "Hey, what was that all about? Weren't you a bit too harsh?"

Ladybug seemed appalled that Adrien thinks that she was in the wrong. "I don't put up with lies, especially if they're about me!" Then, she threw her yoyo and swung away. Did she forget about me?

Adrien watched as Ladybug swung away and said, "What is with you, Ladybug?" He collected his stuff and left shortly after. 

As soon as he did, I looked around for Lie-la. She ran off in the direction Marinette and I came from.

A little more walking later, I hear someone around the corner say, 'I hate you ladybug!' and a loud thump. I look over an saw Lie-la angrily sobbing on the ground.

I approached her carefully. "Lila?"

She gasped. "What- w-who are you? How do you know my name?" I could see the panic in her eyes as she realized I could be going to the same school she does.

"You're my classmate," I say, making Lie-la's eyes widen.

"What's your name?" Asked Lie-la, blinking away her tears.

"It's Yin, Yin Lin," I said, squatting down next to her. No way I'm sitting on the pavement. Though it's almost winter, the ground still pretty toasty.

"Yin, I think I saw you in my class this morning..." Said Lie-la slowly, most likely thinking of an explanations for what I heard earlier. 

"Look, you probably heard me scream that I hate Ladybug, but hear me out. I was actually practicing for my audition as a villain in a new movie. The director is really famous in Hollywood, but don't tell anyone, okay? I want it to be a surprise for our classmates, promise?" Asked Lie-la holding out her pinkie.

I smiled and shook my head. "Lila, you're a really good liar,  would say you know? but you probably do."

Lie-la looked horrified. "I'm not lying, if you don't believe me, then suit yourself." She stood up scowling.

"Hey wait," I said, grabbing her hand. Something I wouldn't do to a stranger, but this is an exception. "I'm not going to tell anyone."

"I don't know what you're talking about!" Said Lie-la, starting to walk away.

"I saw Ladybug call you out in front of Adrien," I said in a careless tone. Lie-la immediately stopped in her tracks. 

"I told you, I don't know what you're talking about!" Protested Lie-la.

"I do think Ladybug should've gone a bit softer on you, though. Adrien thinks so too, and he's the one you were lying to," I said, looking up at her face. "But you shouldn't have been lying in the first place."

"You..." Lie-la lowered her head. "If you dare tell anyone about this, I'll ruin your life and turn all your friends against you!"

"Didn't you hear what I said earlier? I'm not going to be telling anyone," I said, standing up and walking next to Lie-la.

"Then what do you want?" Sneered Lie-la.

"Nothing! Well, an explanation would be niCEEE!" I said, shouting the last part due to the akuma flying into Lie-la's necklace.

The outline of a purple butterfly appeared in front of Lie-la's face. I seem to be much more of failure than I usually am today.

As purple goo swallowed Lie-la, I ran into a nearby alley. 

"Guess Silver Moonrise is still going to be needed today," Hedwig said, flying out of my bottle bag. I nodded and transformed.

When I flew out, I saw a gigantic meteorite headed right towards the The Louvre. I wasn't too worried, but I saw Ladybug and Chat hurrying to stop it, I think I should speed up and fill my teammates on what's going on.

On my way there, a figure that was probably Volpina had approached the meteorite and pushed it back into the sky.

Then, she stood on top of a building and said, "I am Volpina, the only superhero Paris needs!" Yup, that's Volpina alright. 

I landed on the roof Ladybug and Chat who we're talking about the new 'hero'. Ladybug was not so unbelievably untrusting.

"Don't you think it's weird superheroes just keep appearing out of nowhere?" Asked Ladybug.

"To be fair," I said, walking up behind her. "You and Chat appeared out of nowhere too."

"Moonrise!" Said Chat with a smile.

"Hello, Chat," I said returning the gesture. "Greetings to you to Ladybug," I said to the unamused superheroine.

"Do you have anything to do with this new superhero?" Asked Ladybug in a not very polite tone.

"C'mon Ladybug, she got the job done, no need to be so mean!" Said Chat.

Ladybug scoffed. "I could've easily stopped a meteorite myself."

"I seriously doubt that," I said.

"Why? Is it because your miraculous is 'more powerful than ours'?" Asked Ladybug in a mocking tone.

"No," I said simply. "It's because I don't see how you could use your yoyo to stop the meteorite. And though our miraculous's give us super strength, there's no way you could stop a meteorite going so fast. Even if you did have that strength, you'd burn you're hands. That won't be too pleasant."

"Then how did Volpina do it?" Questioned Chat.

"That's because she isn't real. And neither is the meteorite."

"What?" Asked Chat, very confused. "What do you mean?"

"That's because it's an illusion," I said and pointed to Volpina standing in front of a cheering crowd. "She isn't a superhero, but an akumatised victim of Hawk Moth."

"How do you know this?" Asked Ladybug, crossing her hands in front of her chest.

"I saw her get akumatised while I was walking down the street. She crying about someone ruining her chances with Adrien," I said, looking pointily at Ladybug.

Just then, Volpina dropped down in front of us.

"Hey guys, glad you dropped in," she said, as if we were all bestfriends who decided to help her with something. "I need a hand, c'mon!" Then she flew off.

The three of us followed her closely. She led us to a roof with a clear view of a Hawk Moth illusion she created.

"I can't believe it! It's Hawk Moth in the flesh!" Exclaimed Chat.

Ladybug was shocked too. "He never shows up, something big must be going on!" Apparently they've forgotten everything I just told them.

"We can take him down, but it's going to take all four of us," said Volpina. "We better make the most of our individual talents."

"Say Volpina," said Ladybug. "What's your miraculous?"

"My necklace," answered Volpina, holding it up.

"What power does it give you?" Ladybug asked again.

"The power of flight and super strength," said Volpina, getting up in Ladybug's face. Girl, you need to chill and practice your social distancing.

"Hey," I said jokingly. "Flight's suppose to be my power." I showed off my wings to Volpina.

"We can share, can't we?" Asked Volpina with a smile. Then it turned sour. "Guys! Hawk Moth is getting away!"

Volpina flew off towards the illusion. Before Chat and Ladybug could follow her, I grabbed their arms.

"I hope you both know that the Hawk Moth over there isn't real," I said, eyeing both of them.

"How can we trust you?" Asked Ladybug. You'd think she would trust me over Volpina, but no.

"I can't exactly prove it right now," I said, a plan forming in my mind. "But, I do know how to get her miraculous.

"According to what I heard just now, Volpina is probably after Ladybug for revenge. The meteorite was to make us trust her and Hawk Moth was most likely to distract Chat and I. She wants to get you alone so that she can do something to you," I explained, not saying the killing part.

"So, what's you plan?" Asked Chat.

"Okay, Ladybug? Will you trust me?" Ladybug plays a big part of this plan, so I need her cooperation.

Ladybug was silent for moment. "Just this once, I'll trust you," she said.

I smiled. "Thank you."

So i decided to split it into two chapters. The next one will beout in about half an hour, more or less.

Lie-la: Why?

Me: If you don't want to come here, I'll go there instead

Lie-la: W-what are you doing- HEY!
