MHA: The Warping Hero

Being reincarnated as a baby into a fictional world you know nothing about can be pretty disorienting. Especially one with villains running rampant. At least I got a pretty cool quirk. Hiraishin-inspired abilities. Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia. All rights belong to Horikoushi Kouhei

"Thank you so much…"

An elderly lady thanked him as he helped her across the active streets of Hosu. Around him, people were milling about their business. Some were walking with purpose while others were simply out in the night to enjoy the fresh air.

'All in a day's work.' thought Native.

Native continued his patrol as he walked around the city, keeping an eye for the occasional villain and stopping a few times to talk to the locals.

It was late into the night when he heard a pretty loud bang coming from one of the alleyways. Thinking of trouble, the Pro Hero immediately went to investigate.

He arrived on a small alley with a few dumpsters littering the path. It was empty save for a fallen trash can which he assumed must have made the loud noise.

'Must have been a stray cat…'

It was pretty dark so Native had to squint his eyes as he visually scanned the area. There was nothing else there aside from the fallen can so he visibly relaxed before turning around to exit the alley.

He never noticed the red-scarfed man that silently jumped down behind him and slit his throat.

Manual was doing his usual patrol late into the night. He was currently walking through an empty park in the middle of the city. The park itself was a pretty popular one where children often play after they get off school, so cases of kids being lost in the forested area of the park is a pretty common one.

Manual always made sure to put the specific area of the park in one of his patrols due to that information. After a few minutes of walking and finding it empty, he nodded to himself as apparently, no such case happened today.

It was when he was just about to leave when he saw a man walking through the park. He had on a dark hoodie and pants. The hood of his clothes was up so the Pro Hero couldn't make out his face. Manual would never have seen him in the night if it wasn't for the lamppost right above him.

"Hey! Are you lost? You shouldn't be here at this time of night."

Manual called out to him, which caused the man himself to pause.

"Huh, I was looking for you." The man said, turning his head slightly that Manual could see a few strands of light blue hair to jut out from the hood.

"You were? What do you need from me?" Manual asked after getting past the initial shock. It wasn't uncommon for civilians to ask for him. After all, he was a pretty popular hero in Hosu.

Manual slowly approached the man who still hadn't moved from his position.

"Well, not you specifically. Just…a hero." The man said as he suddenly moved.

Manual didn't even have a chance to react as he found himself held up, the man strangling him with a hand on his neck. In this position however, Manual finally has a clear view of the man's face.

'Shigaraki..!'

Only this time, he didn't have his infamous face-hand covering it. His chapped lips were upturned to a deranged smile.

"Goodbye, hero~"

Manual tried his best to struggle, but without a water source nearby he was pretty much powerless. He could do nothing as the Villain laid down his previously raised pinky and held his neck with all 5 fingers. The result was an agonizing pain that came from his neck and spread to his entire body. It didn't take long for him to lose feeling on all his senses and The Normal Hero to breathe his last.

Stain was perched up on the edge of a rooftop looking down on a duo of heroes currently walking together. These two were his next targets on his mission to purge and clean Hosu of the Heroes defending it.

They wore armor not unlike those of the knights in the middle ages. Stain himself was intrigued to see if his swords would be able to pierce them. The one walking in front was obviously the older one as he was waving an arm and talking towards the shorter one as if teaching him something.

He continued to watch as they went through their rounds in their patrol. He waited and waited until a chance to ambush would appear. And soon enough, it did.

They were walking towards an abandoned warehouse that is a known hotspot for drug trading and whatnot. It was the place where drug deals would usually take place and one that would be perfect for his killing.

Stain continued to shadow them as they entered the warehouse through an opened window. He genuinely doubts that their large frames and armors would actually help in stealth, but he gives them points for not being dumb and charging through the front door.

Stain himself then climbed to the roof and entered through the open skylight and landed on a high walkway. The warehouse itself was a large open area with large boxes littering the floor. There were a few rooms in the corner of the building that he suspected were offices.

Stain creeped forward on the walkway and his eyes darted about to find the duo when he heard fighting from below him.

Ingenium and his intern were fighting a few thugs, and from the looks of it, were winning pretty easily. The thugs had menial quirks at best and their fighting skills were no match of a Pro Hero.

He waited until the two finished their enemies and had their guard down before finally striking. Knowing that simple throwing knives wouldn't suffice against their armor, Stain announced his presence by landing straight in the middle between the heroes and spun with his swords extended.

However, much to his surprise, the older Ingenium managed to push his intern back before lifting an arm to guard against the incoming blades, the forearm guards managing to hold together.

"Hero Killer!"

— The Warping Hero —

Iida Tensei was tense.

After all, today was supposed to only be a small patrol where he would show Tenya the ropes. What to do when out patrolling, the right attitude to have when talking to civilians, how to spot a crime that's happening. Really all the things that could only come through experience rather than things you could learn in a classroom.

It was then where he got a small tip about a drug deal happening in a warehouse in the area. Naturally, thinking this a good chance to see what Tenya could do in a confrontational scenario where it would most likely end in combat, he reached the warehouse and busted the deal.

It wasn't hard really. They were just small-time crooks wanting to make a name for themselves in the underworld with almost zero experience under their belt. Realizing them to be little threat, Tensei urged Tenya to take the lead and performed admirably. He took down the villains and managed to secure the drugs they procuring for the deal.

What he didn't expect however, was Hero Killer Stain to make his appearance. It was only his ingrained instincts that came from years on the job that allowed him to push his little brother back and raise his arm in protection.

A loud ting and a small pressure from his arm proved it was the right decision as the Hero Killer's sword glanced over his armguard. His little brother could only stare at the imposing form of the red-scarfed villain. If he didn't have his mask, Tensei was sure that Tenya had his eyes wide in shock.

"Tenya! Get out of here!" He ordered as he activated his quirk and rushed himself towards Stain.

It was apparent that the sudden burst in speed caught the Hero Killer off guard as he just barely raised his swords to block his fist.

"But… Tensei! I can-'' Tenya tried to say as he regained his bearings and stood up, only to be cut off by Ingenium's yell.

"Listen to me! Get out of here and find help!" Tensei screamed as he continued trading blows with Stain. "Get back to the agency and get reinforcements!"

Tenya scrunched his face in reluctance to leave his brother behind. But he forced his body to move as he listened to orders. Angling his body towards the exit, he boosted his engines to max capacity to try to escape.

Stain, noticing this, immediately tried to put a stop to it but was pushed back by Ingenium's efforts.

"Go!"

Immediately, Iida's engines burst to life as he blasted forwards towards the exit at impressive speeds.

"Hmm, that's not good." Stain grumbled before he charged towards Ingenium with bigger tenacity.

Ingenium tried his best to hold back the Hero Killer but it was quickly turning obvious that he was outmatched. Stain getting his blade through a crevice in his armor was all it took for the Villain to subdue the Hero.

A squelch was all that was heard as Stain removed his sword from Ingenium's chest with the latter falling to the ground, his legs no longer capable of lifting him.

"Sending your protege away was a mistake. Did you really think you could have defeated me by yourself? You had much better chances if you were together, not that it would've made much of a difference." Stain said before he raised his sword. "This is what you so called heroes get for being complacent and arrogant. Now die."

Tensei tried to do something, anything, to get out of his current situation. But it was apparent that Stain's first stab cut through his spine, making him unable to move much of his lower body. He could only watch in fear and acceptance as the blade reentered his chest and straight through his back, punturing the floor underneath him.

'I'm sorry, Tenya..'

That was Tensei's last thoughts as darkness overwhelmed him.

On the dark covers of the night, unknown to the people, more and more heroes would meet their end by the duo of Shigaraki and Stain. The killings were all done quietly and efficiently that no one knew of their existence as of yet.

Heroes out in patrol, ones they would meet by chance, and even ones in civilian clothes that they managed to recognize due to their fame. Not one was spared.

Stain eyed the cluster of heroes that ran towards the warehouse he had just been in. Most likely they were the reinforcements that Ingenium hoped for earlier. The sidekicks of the Ingenium agency. They would soon find out however, that they were much too late.

He ran and jumped over the rooftops to meet with Shigaraki. They have done enough for today. Not to mention, with heroes now in the know of one them being killed, investigations towards the others will soon take place. It would be best that they retreat now.

Stain grinned as he thought of the purge he had done today. It was much bigger than any that he had done previously. Truly, joining the League of Villains had changed with methods. Usually he limits himself to four heroes per city, today he killed three times that number by himself.

This will definitely make a difference. The push that is needed for society to realize the cancer that is brewing underneath them. With the plans that Shigaraki has made for the day after, that day would come sooner than he expected.

— The Warping Hero —

Shigaraki waited on a low rooftop of a building, waiting for his partner to show. He did his part and was now waiting at the rendezvous point so Kurogiri could pick them up.

It didn't take long for Stain to appear on the rooftop, looking no worse for wear, aside from the slight ruffling that Shigaraki could see from his clothes which he pointedly ignored. Considering the nature of their plan, getting into a few fights were expected after all.

They soon regrouped and after confirming a mission success, walked into the dark purple portal that appeared behind them.

"Did everything happen as expected, Tomura?" Kurogiri questioned after the two villains exited the portal and entered the bar.

"That depends on tomorrow. Is everything prepared?" Shigaraki asked the bartender

"Yes, Shigaraki. Everything regarding the broadcast has been set up accordingly.

Shigaraki then gave the signature maniacal grin. "Perfect…"

— The Warping Hero —

A heavy rain covered Hosu City as if symbolizing the tragedy that befell them just a day ago. A total of 22 heroes found murdered in brutal fashion in different locations all throughout the city. It was a disaster never before seen since All Might's era, and people wonder what the ramifications of such an event would lead to.

The news have caught into such an event and all across Japan, details about the killings are being reported to the world.

"Investigations have begun by the police and local heroes regarding the true nature of the killings. But what caught their attention was a stylized symbol found near where each killing took place. The letter V drawn with the victims blood. These symbols remain to be the only clue that the police could find. And the cause of these killings, as of right now, still remain under investigation…"

A local news reader trailed off as the people watching could see she held a finger to her ear.

"I just received a report that we have received a live video share of the people claiming responsibility for this event. We will switch immediately towards the live feed."

Screens then shifted as an image was shown on every TV in Japan. The video showed three people standing facing the camera. Shigaraki was the first to speak, Kurogiri standing to his right while Stain on his left.

"Greetings, Japan. We are the League of Villains." Shigaraki introduced. "For years, this sham of a society has been plagued by do gooders that call themselves heroes. Heroes that pretend to be society's guardians while pretending not to see those you swept under the rug. You ignore those who are unseen and believe yourself's to be noble." Shigaraki then pointed a finger towards the unseen camera, conviction and will filling him as waves of bloodlust could be felt all across Japan. "This world we live in, tainted by the actions of the plague and your system rotten from the inside. It all build up over time, to the point where you created an entire pillar, that the people started revering to as God."

"All Might, the Symbol of Peace, a guardian that has forced the people to regress, a society where those who are different are rejected. That is what we intend to change. To bring down this unshakable status quo on which the common are needing to be protected, while the trash that protects need coddling." It was then Shigaraki raised to his full height, his red eye blazing through the gaps of his fingers. "We will bring the mighty Symbol of Peace to his knees and only then we will show you, how utterly easy everything would crumble without its lone pillar supporting it."

"Mark my words, that the things that happened in Hosu, are only the beginning."

The video abruptly ended and returned to the original news cast, showing the news anchor eyes wide in horror as she visibly gulped after hearing the message.

"T-That ends tonight's broadcast. W-We'll make sure to report any news that we receive."

— The Warping Hero —

All across Japan, The news regarding the League of Villains caused massive repercussions. The ordinary folk gained looks of fear as their lives would no longer be as peaceful as they were. Most of the Heroes were angry, worried, or even annoyed regarding the brazen act the LOV just pulled. However, it was the villains that were most affected.

People walking on the darker side of the law were happy or even proud to see that the Heroes are getting whats coming to them. And a huge number of hero deaths mean that the streets of Hosu were ripe for the taking.

Some were excited, others were astonished, but the worst of all, they were inspired.

A man in his mid twenties was watching the news on a screen outside of a shop. He had black spiky hair and burns that cover his lower face. He studied the form of Shigaraki for a few seconds before turning on his heel and walking away.

A young girl with ash-blonde hair that was styled into two messy buns. She was blushing and smiling while looking into the news broadcast of the League of Villains before turning away with a skip in her step, humming a jolly tune.

Hey folks!

A pure villain chapter here. Honestly it shocked me, i was planning on just breezing through the killings but writing Stain and Shigaraki was surprisingly fun.

I took inspiration for Shigaraki's speech with the one he made after he awakened. It fits with his current character and although this Shigaraki still needs some growing to do to reach that kind of level, he's already in the right mindset.
