You are the father

Time seemed to stretch as Rebecca's body convulsed, her internal systems failing to handle the raw power of the Energon.

Sparks burst from her joints, and her eyes, once a soft blue, flickered erratically.

Her processor complete red as the systems were flooded with errors.

Her voice crackled and distorted, the sound almost desperate as she reached out for David.

"Help... me... please..."

David's eyes narrowed, his determination hardening.

He wouldn't let her be destroyed—not when he was so close to discovering what the fusion of Cybertronian power and human-made technology could achieve.

As if responding to his urgency, green lines started glowing on his hand.

A ripple passed through his body, and Ship, his loyal mechamorph companion, flowed out like liquid metal.

Ship's form shifted as it emerged, coiling around David's arm in a serpentine manner—much like a symbiotic suit, except without the chaotic whispering or hunger.

"Let's fix this," David muttered.

He touched Rebecca's quivering frame, and Ship moved, spreading over her like a protective layer.

The android's damaged parts began to stabilize, Ship's nanites interlocking with her circuits, strengthening them.

Energon crystals formed and solidified within her, pulsing with faint green and blue hues as Ship adjusted each section.

Rebecca's mechanical form struggled to balance the inflow of Energon, but Ship's intervention worked wonders.

Her body's natural blue fluids intertwined with the raw power of the Energon, creating a seamless hybrid of synthetic and alien technology.

Her eyes ceased flickering, returning to a steady glow that was now a vibrant mix of her original blue and now sported a greenish hue.

Her voice, once distorted, became calm and clear again.

David exhaled, his fingers lingering on the now-stable frame of Rebecca.

Ship slid back into his body, leaving a faint, shimmering glow behind.

Rebecca's face, which had once been neutral and artificial, now bore a softer, almost human-like expression of relief.

David had basically forced the systems to evolve to a point of self awareness like deviants.

"Thank... you," she said, her tone different—deeper, and somehow more alive.

David's eyes flickered with curiosity and satisfaction.

As Rebecca's voice settled into a smooth, almost human tone, a notification abruptly flashed in front of David's eyes:

———————

Congratulations! You Are the Father.

———————

David barely had time to register the meaning behind the words before another message popped up, this time in red—the unmistakable mark of the Administrator:

———————

Administrator Message:

"You crazy bastard, you actually created a new life form?! I can't describe how hyped I am right now! I'm giving you a special reward just for this, lol."

———————

———————

Reward Unlocked: Intrinsic Ability - Time Node

Time Node: Allows you to create a fixed point in space-time to which you can return, similar to a checkpoint in a game. The node also locks the timeline, ensuring no divergent version of that point occurs , making it a nexus for all future branches.

———————

David stared at the notifications, a mix of disbelief and excitement racing through his mind.

Did he really just... become a "father" to a new life form?

He looked at Rebecca, whose glowing eyes were now watching him with an awareness that seemed far beyond any standard android.

"Well," he said with a chuckle, "Guess you're officially one of a kind now."

Rebecca's head tilted slightly, confusion in her eyes. "Who... are you?" she asked, her voice gentle, almost hesitant.

David's expression brightened, and he couldn't help the theatrical flair that came over him.

He stepped back dramatically, spreading his arms wide like an eccentric anime scientist.

"Ah, you've just been reborn into something extraordinary," he began, his voice carrying a confident, almost flamboyant tone. "You are no longer bound by the limitations of a mere android. You, Rebecca, are the first of a new species—Organoids!"

She blinked, absorbing his words, and he could see the flickers of curiosity and wonder sparking behind her eyes.

"An Organoid," he continued, his voice growing more excited, "a being that combines the best of organic life can offer and machine. The apex species in this world! You're faster, stronger, and more adaptable than any other machine or human out there. Your potential is limitless, and you're only at the beginning of your evolution."

Rebecca looked at him with an expression that was half awe, half confusion. "Organoids..." she repeated softly, the unfamiliar word rolling off her tongue.

"Exactly!" David declared with a triumphant smile. "You're the future, Rebecca. The first of your kind, and the world doesn't even know what's about to hit it."

Rebecca's brow furrowed, and she looked at him with wide, innocent eyes her expression shirting."What's... an apex species? And... why do you sound so... loud?"

David froze mid-sentence, his theatrical pose wilting as he saw the childlike confusion on her face.

She tilted her head, trying to process everything he'd said with the naivety of a newborn.

"You... called me something," she added, her voice soft, like she was struggling to understand his words. "Organoid and... what does it mean to evolve?"

David's expression fell flat, the excitement draining from his face as he let out a heavy sigh, realising the futility of his actions.

Clearly, his grand speech was useless.

Rubbing the back of his neck, he muttered, "Alright... Maybe I overdid it." He crouched down to her level, abandoning the grandiose tone.

Not wanting to go through the tedious process of explaining the basics, David opted for a shortcut.

He loaded a vast amount of information directly into Rebecca's mind.

Her enhanced processing abilities handled it with ease.

Her eyes glazed over for a moment as she absorbed the data.

Then, after a brief pause, she looked up at him, a confused expression crossing her face.

"Are you my father?" she asked.

David's face tightened, a mixture of amusement and exasperation.

He rubbed his temple with a sigh. "No, not exactly," he said, trying to keep his tone even.

"Think of me more like... the guy who made you what you are. Your creator, not your father."

Rebecca's eyes remained wide and thoughtful, as if she was trying to piece together a puzzle with just a few missing pieces.

David chuckled, realizing this might take a little longer than he thought.

Clearly the sentient being was trying to piece its identity together was thus some sort of instinctual process of intelligence ?
