Chapter 49: U.A Sports Festival 2

Every U.A freshman students gather's near the entrance. Their eyes dead set as they wait for Midnights signal. Izuku calm's himself down, holding Usagi as he mentally prepared himself for the run.

Without further ado Midnight flash her puffy fan and shout's " BEGIN!!! ", causing all the participants to run towards the entrance.

Unfortunately the corridor was increadibly narrow, as their sheer numbers caused a barricade.

They try to squeeze themselves out. Their hands reaching out the exit as they desperately want to exit the stadium.

" H-Hey!! "

" Watch it!!! "

" Get off of me!!! "

Their bodies constantly pushing and pulling. stuck to their own bodies untill the participants felt the atmosphere getting colder.

Without warning the pathway was immidiately covered in ice. Reaching every ounce of the floor, ceiling and the corridors. Freezing the participants as someone jump's out of the frozen crowd.

The silhouette cause every audience on the stadium to watch the screen and saw Shoto skating through the frozen ice. Causing present mic to excitedly shout

" LOOKS LIKE WE FINALLY JAVE SOMEONE ON THE LEAD!!! AFTER MINUTES OF WAITING SHOTO TODOROKI FINALLY MAKES A MOVE AND FREEZE'S EVERYONE IN PLACE!!! LOOKS LIKE THE PARTICIPANTS NEEDS TO UP THEIR GAME IF THEY WANT TO ESCAPE THIS RIGHT AIZAWA!! "

Present mic turns to Aizawa who was still covered by bandages so he can switch the microphone to him. Not saying a word, he just continue to observe the screen. Watching the race in silence.

" Okay no comment then we- OH MY GOD LOOKS LIKE A THERE'S A FEW

REPARTICIPANTS WHO MANAGE TO ESCAPE FROM TODOROKI'S ICE!!! "

Present mic shouted as every audience look closer at the stadium screens. A long pole suddenly appear out of nowhere from the frozen participants as they saw Momo glide through the air with her arms attached to the long pole. The other participants tried to snatch her pole away but she quickly detached it and made a new one. Not touching the ice as she made several pose's to reach the exit.

" Hey that's cheating!! "

" YEAH GET BACK DO- "

" KICK!!! "

A participant couldn't finish his sentence as someone kick's him in the face. The figure was swift as it jump's through several participants before landing on the ice and skating through it's cold slippery surface.

Momo who was getting close to catching up with Shoto was quickly put off balance, as her pole snapped increadibly easy by an unknown force

" Crack!! "

" Wha- "

" Kick!! "

Momo was kicked off from the air, as the unkown figure was Usagi on her monster form. She landed on the ice and skate's, turning back while she shouted to her " Haha see you in the other side losers!! "

" U-usagi! You don't have to kick her off! "

" Hah there's no mercy for the weak, come on let's go!! "

She said to Izuku on her back. Her gaze excitement quickly change to determination as her attention locked to Shoto.

" LOOKS LIKE MIDORIA'S QUIRK IS GETTING CLOSE TO TODOROKI!! WILL HE BE KICKED OFF BY THE MURDER RABBIT AND BE LEFT BEHIND!!! "

Shoto heared present mic and turn's around. Noticing the skating rabbits competitive gaze. Surprise to see her getting so close, he panic's and swing his hand throught the air as a large wave of ice launch towards Usagi.

There's no dodging this. The corridor are way too narrow to dodge so Dogday, in an act of instinct jump's out of Izuku's shoulder and landed right infront of the wave of ice.

Transforming himself to his monster form as he absorb's the devastating impact, freezing them in place.

" Swoosh- "

" FUCK!!! "

Shoto relieved that they stopped turns back to the exit. The light passing through his skin as he finally left the exit. Aoyama with his overly elegant splender uses his beam to fly through the pathway. Passing the frozen Izuku and his quirk while saying " Adios~ " before leaving from view.

Usagi pissed as hell wanted to continue so she grab's Dogday and kick's off the ice. Letting Dogday to transform back to his plushie form before she skate's back to the race.

Passing Aoyama easily while giving him a middle finger before turning back to the exit.

They escape as Usagi spots Shoto on the lead. Wanting to kick him off from his spot she stopped and dig her mechanical feet to the ground. Crushing every fiber hidden beneath her mechanical leg's until she launch herself towards Shoto.

She was soo close to Shoto, ready to kick him off his spot but a large shadow cause the four of them to look up. Seeing a large mechanical hand landing towards them.

Usagi dodge, avoiding the impact. As the massive debree cause Shoto to stop and turn back. Seeing a large mechanical behemoth that tower's over them.

" I-is that a zero-pointer! "

" Shit. Why do they have to reuse that again! "

Catnap complained but was caught by off guard by the ground suddenly shaking. Soon another Zero pointer resurface, causing mass destruction in it's wake as dozen's villain's bot's followed.

" SERIOUSLY!!! " Catnap complained again. Frustrated that they have to face two zero pointers and villain bot's at the same time.

One zero pointer near Shoto tries to attack but Shoto turns around to the zero pointer unfazed and wave his right hand. The cold air follow's, creating a dense mist like glacier that freeze's the zero pointer in place.

Shoto then touches to ground. Freezing it aswell as it spreads throughout the villain bot's. With no more hindrance in his way he didn't hesitate to skate under the frozen zero pointer. Leaving Usagi to deal with the other zero pointer.

Usagi grits her teeth as she turns to the gigantic robot. She held Izuku and Dogday tightly as she readies herself for another attack.

The zero pointer raises it's hand as it was about to crush them but Usagi respond by dodging the attack and jumping towards the hand.

Using the zero pointers large mechanical arm's to sprint towards the gigantic robot's head to kick it. Causing the head to shatter into a thousand pieces.

" CRASH!!!! "

The scene cause a bit of an uproar to the masses as present mic shout's through the mic " SUCH AN AMAZING DESTRUCTIVE POWER!! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THE MURDER BUNNY WOULD BE THIS MUCH POWERFUL!! WAIT! WHAT IS SHE DOING!? IS SHE GOING AFTER TODOROKI!? "

He commented as the audience observe the screen. Watching the blurred figure of Usagi rushing towards Shoto with quick progression. Shoto noticed, gritting his teeth as he lift's his hand to launch an ice avalanche.

However, Shoto failed to noticed a purple tail at Usagi's back. As it moves her way further to the side to dodge the ice avalanche. Only being a few feet away, as Usagi swings her mechanical leg and was about to hit Shoto.

Panicked, Shoto tried to create another ice avalanche as a shield but was way too slow. Usagi kick's him by the torso as she sends him flying to the right.

Landing just a few feet away as Shoto writhe from internal pain.

" HAH! Suck it bitch! "

She said with a victorious smile. Putting Dogday back to Izuku's shoulder as she sprints through the second obstacle.

Present mic commented " WHAT A HUGE TURN OF EVENT'S!!! TODOROKI IS FINALLY OUT OF THE LEAD AS IZUKU AND HIS AMAZING PLUSHIE FRIENDS RUSH TO THE NEXT OBSTACLE!! " A few of the crowd cheered. Watching Usagi sprinting through the race with ease.

It didn't took her long to reach the next obstacle, the fall canyon. Seeing the wide deep the canyon up ahead she was determined to jump towards the end, she readies herself, ripping every ounce of her muscle fiber to make a big leap.

She reach the edge. Pressing her feet deeper on the cliff as she launch herself to the air.

Izuku held to Usagi tightly while making sure that Catnap and Dogday wouldn't fall off the canyon. The air pass through them, blowing Izuku's P.E uniform as he couldn't afford to let Usagi go.

" HAHA COME ON GUYS! DON'T YOU JUST LIKE THE FRESH AIR! "

" W-where i-in the middle of a c-canyon! W-w-what if we fall!? "

" WHAT I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER ALL THIS AIR- OH SHIT! "

She was close to land to the other cliff but she also notice that they were about to descend. Catnap not wanting for the three of them to die, quickly launches his tail to any nearby tightrope and lifting them around the other cliff. Landing safely.

" Woosh. "

" Thud "

" .... D-did w-we just.... "

" Phew haha wow that was a close one! Now let's go! "

" Your really enjoying this huh? "

" Come on its a sports festival! At least try to have fun? "

" Your definition of fun nearly got us killed. "

" Hey were alive aren't we? so cheer up! Besides we still have some competition behind us "

She look back. Seeing that the others are catching up to the canyon. Not wanting to let them take the lead she sprints. Excited for the next obstacle.

Dogday was getting a little worried since Usagi didn't seem to care about the severities of the obstacle. Seeing it as just a game. He looks at Usagi a bit and then Izuku who seemed a bit traumatized about their near death experience.

" Hey you holding up? "

" Um yeah. Though it was a bit scary I think I can handle myself a bit "

" Well I'm glad to know just talk to me if your feeling stress out okay "

" Still this bitch is really mental that she thinks that she can make it to the other side. "

" I can hear you Catnap! "

" Bitch! You were supposed to hear that! "

The two look at each menacingly for a moment before turning their heads away. As Usagi reaches the next Obstacle. The audience observe the four through the screen as some fan's or other heroe's watching this couldn't help but to comment on Izuku's quirk.

They were pretty impressed at how versatile and strong the broccoli bean's quirk. As he basically has access to three quirks he could use like superspeed, protection and tail extension. Though the crowd doesn't know the full length of his quirk's abilities, the heroes and audience know's that they can find the full written down information on his quirk.

As Usagi sprint's through the race she saw a suspicious looking field up ahead. At first she thought of stopping for a moment until she saw the stadium entrance just behind the field.

Not wanting to stop now she thought of jumping through the field like she did to the canyon but she accidentally step something.

" BOOM!!! "

This causes a huge explosion, causing Dogday to transform to his monster form and cover Izuku and Catnap.

The explosion caused a large dark debree as Usagi and Dogday were thrown off from the field. Usagi's body burned and bruised from the explosion landed on the ground, unable to move as she tried to ignore the pain.

" WELL LOOKS LIKE OUR MAIN LEAD MANAGE TO ENTER THE FOURTH AND FINAL OBSTACLE THE FIELD MINE'S!!! OH AND WHAT'S THIS!? LOOKS THE MURDER RABBITS GOT SOME SERIOUS BRUISES? TELL ME AIZAWA WILL SHE BE ABLE TO CONTINUE!? "

" Sigh.... I hate being with you "

" LOOKS LIKE NO COMMENT ON AIZAWA!! "

As the debree was getting clear, Dogday unwrap's his arms away from Izuku. Coughing before fixing himself from the sudden explosion.

He quickly changes his attention to Catnap seeing him okay in his shoulder but Usagi. She doesn't look good.

He saw her plushie cloth skin is damage. showing bit's and scratches of blood, Izuku runs towards Usagi, wanting to check if she's hurt.

" U-usagi your injured! Wait we can patch you up we just need- "

" Cough no no I'm fine. That explosion barely even hurt me- FUCK!! "

Usagi felt her left leg ache as she saw that small doses of blood begin's to ooze on the gab's of her mechanical leg. Her twitch as she touches the gab's on her left leg as she quickly feel a painful sting.

" Shit right now!? It's barely even a few minutes? "

She cursed. Regretting on running further to the mines. Izuku was worried about Usagi's safety. Observing her left leg and injury further as he turns to Dogday " we need medical attention, Usagi could you transform yourself back to your plushie form "

" What? No no no no listen Izuku I'm fine this is just a scratch "

" Usagi look at yourself! I can't continue this race when your hurt, either you transform back to your plushie form or Dogday will patch you up "

Usagi looks at Izuku and then Dogday. Seeing him readying himself to rip off his cloth skin. Knowing full well on what they met she was disgusted by the idea of being patch up by Dogday's skin so she reluctantly sigh and replied " Fine..... "

As she transform herself into her plushie form. Though she doesn't have any injuries in this form she still has them on her monster form so she was limited with her quirks capabilities and her other advantage.

Seeing her safe she holds Usagi and turn on the mine field. Izuku turns to Catnap and ask " Could you get us to the other side? "

" Yup I'm still fully functional "

Catnap said as Catnap's body unwrap itself for he's figure to reach a certain height. Soon he transform himself into his monster form.

He stretch his neck and then twist and turn his tail as he looks at the three and said " WeEelL hOop iIn-Nn "

" Yikes your still creepy as fuck "

Catnap just roll's his eyes from Usagi's remarks while he bend his legs for them to get on his back. He didn't hesitate to do so as he climb's to his back with ease before standing up and look at the entrance.

He stretch his tail. Avoiding the mine's as it reaches to the entrance. Once he got an anchor he lift himself up. Moving around the mine field with ease.

Izuku noticed that others are catching up so he tells Catnap to speed it up. He did as it didn't take him long to reach the entrance as he transform himself back to his plushie form. Izuku land's, looking at the entrance one last time before picking Catnap up and run's.

Getting close through the tunnel.

Their victory is almost at the tip of Izuku's fingertip but Izuku was still worried for Usagi. He has no idea on what's going to be in the next round so Usagi's injury will going to a bit challenging.

He doesn't want to further injure Usagi, her quirks limitations needs a long time to heal so he would have no choice but to use Catnap and Dogday in the next round.

He looks down to Usagi. Worried about what will she responds as he said to her " Usagi um.... How about in the next match you wait this out "

" What? "

" Listen your injured in your monster form so I thought that maybe Catnap and Dogday will take the lead on the next round.... "

" Okay okay listen Izuku. First are you seriously letting Catnap to take the lead? And second how dare you think that I'm done. Sure I got a few scratch and my quirk is almost at my limit but I can still kick ass "

" I know but we'll be facing other students from U.A, I've studied my classmates strength's and weaknesses and the other U.A classes are still a mystery to me. If we face them now with you being the lead in your injured state we will probably going to be in a disadvantage and.... I don't want you to further injure yourself.... I don't want any of you injuring yourself more for me.... So please at least rest for your sake "

Usagi looked at Izuku. A bit touch that he care's about her safety. To be honest she really wanted to continue but taking into account Izuku's reasoning and Izuku's words she couldn't help but to comply.

She turns her head. A bit reluctant to agree but heeding his words she replied " Okay, I'll take a break for now. But if the situation is dire you know I'm stepping in whether you like it or not. Got it!? "

" Phew.... it's all I ever want you to say " He said as the light of the stadium entrance shine's, as the stadium cheers for Izuku.

He manages to take first place at the first place in the preliminaries. As confetti's pop and shimer's to Izuku's figure. Usagi not able to run through the finish line on her very own feet couldn't help but to be a bit dissapointed about winning.

But nonetheless she still celebrated, clapping her plushie hands to Izuku for getting them here.
