The long-armed brawler was astounded to hear the boy's declaration, but it only made way for a predatory grin to spread across his masked face. "No kidding..."

"I've got a big job coming up, and I want to be at the top of my game," Deky explained as he wound a few strands over his hands. "Think you can get me there?"

Drunk Lee and Master Beast heard that and thought the kid must be suicidal. The masked martial artist was the one to voice his concern.

"Master Deku! I beg you to reconsider! Though you have proven yourself to be a formidable opponent in the ring, there is a reason why Rappa is the champion of the Masquerade!"

"Can it, Lee!" Rappa shot back. "If the kid wants to step up o his weight class, who am I to say know?"

Drunk Lee and Master Beast got out of the ring while they still cloud, making way for the long-armed brawler and his eager pupil.

The two took a moment to warm up, with Rappa rotating his double-jointed limbs. "It's only fair to warn you, kid. I don't plan on going easy on you!"

"That's fine..." Deku stretched his legs before putting up his fists. "Nothing's ever been easy for me."

Rappa smirked. The trainer and trainee then rushed for each other and started what was no doubt Deku's most gruelling training session yet.

Naomasa Tsukauchi, a high ranking detective in the Musutafu Police Department, leaned back in his chair after being hunched over for far too long.

He had taken off his signature beige trenchcoat and matching fedora, hanging them both on a rack beside his office door.

He had just come back from his assembly with the hero staff of UA, including his long time friend and idol, All Might.

As he ran his fingers through his short black hair, a knock came at his door. "It's open."

Ezio Tanuma, a fellow detective and Tsukauchi's partner, stepped inside with a piping hot cup of coffee in both his hands. "Hey. Figured you could use a pick-me-up."

"Thanks. This paperwork is killing me!" The high ranking officer smiled as he took the offered cup and drank down the warm bitter liquid.

Ezio gave his partner a moment to enjoy his beverage before asking. "So, how'd it go with the heroes?"

"I told them everything we were able to fig up about the 'League of Villains'...or lack thereof." The young detective expressed after taking his cup away. "We couldn't find anything about this 'Shigaraki' character. No name, no quirk registration. It's like he didn't exist until that day. The same goes for his accomplice, the portal maker, Kurogiri."

"Freaky." The laid-back detective commented as he looked over the documents scattered across his partner's desk.

Mug shots of nearly every villain that took part in the attack, as well as eye-witness reports from the students who were caught in the middle. "UA's got some tough kids this year. Able to hold their own against a whole army's worth of villains like that..."

"You said it!" Tsukauchi agreed with a proud smile. "These kids were brought face to face with the horrors that real heroes deal with regularly, and were able to last so long. I'm just glad the teachers made it in time."

"Tell me about it!" Ezio remarked until he spotted a tint of light green underneath all the paperwork. Brushing the papers aside, he saw a security image of a familiar pair of bunny ears and a green hood. "Woah, Woah, hold the phone! The Green Rabbit was there?"

"Yeah. I'm was as surprised as you are." Tsukauchi nodded. "I got witness reports from all the students, telling me how he took on three of their strongest classmates and somehow came out on top. He even managed to take one of them hostage, which gave him and some of the villains time to escape. Always one step ahead, as usual."

"Man, that is one wascally wabbit!" Ezio cracked, putting on a cheesy grin to go with his terrible joke.

Tsukauchi buried his face in his hand, yet couldn't help the grin that refused to leave. After the moment passed, Tsukauchi picked up the picture of the Green Rabbit looked at it closely.

"There's something else. One of the students, Tenya Iida, told me that he tried to get out of the facility and call for help, but the Green Rabbit stopped him." Tsukauchi explained.

"Iida...wait, like Tensei Iida, the Turbo Hero, Enginium?" Ezio blanched.

"The same. Turns out he's his older brother." The strict detective revealed as he rubbed his chin.

"Tenya has the same kind of super-speed quirk as his brother, so it was easy for him to get past the Rabbit and escape. But..."

"But?" The laid-back detective inquired with a raised eyebrow.

"...Tenya wasn't sure himself, but he told me that he could have sworn that the Green Rabbit...let him go." Tsukauchi unveiled.

"What? No way!" Ezio waved off in disbelief. "The kid got past him because he was faster, plain and simple. He was probably shaken up from the incident and couldn't think straight. Not that I could blame him."

"I guess..." The strict detective agreed, but wasn't all that convinced. The Green Rabbit had been on the department's most wanted list for near to a year now.

Ever since his debut on the internet for bringing down Death Arms, the mysterious marauder had gone on to foil and immobilize every hero who's attempted to stop him, by figuring out their quirks, deciphering their weakness, and using it against them, all in a matter of moments.

Who's to say that he could have stopped Tenya Iida if he wanted to. And if that was the case, then why did he let him go?

"So, you managed to figure out who he is yet?" Ezio asked, taking a sip from his own cup.

"Afraid not." Tsukauchi shook his head. "But I do have a theory..."

"That so?" The laid-back detective raised a curious eyebrow. "Well, your hunches have always turned out to be spot-on."

"Yeah...but this is the first time that I hope that I'm wrong..." The strict detective grimaced.

Ezio slowly lowered the cup from his lips. "Okay, Naomasa, if you're trying to scare me, then you're doing a good job."

Tsukauchi brushed more of his papers aside until he found a file buried beneath the pile. Opening it up, it revealed a missing person report, as well as a picture of a soft-faced pre-teen boy, with fuzzy dark green hair, freckled cheeks, and a warm yet anxious smile.

"Isn't that the missing Quirkless kid you were put on to find last year?" Ezio inquired.

"Yeah..." Tsukauchi answered sullenly. "I know it's been forever since his disappearance. And usually, when it comes to missing people without a quirk, it mostly ends with an unhappy outcome."

Ezio closed his eyes in grief, knowing exactly what his partner was talking about.

"But you should have seen his mother that night," Tsukauchi explained as he turned to the laid-back detective in his seat. "She was beyond distraught. Like her entire world was falling apart! I couldn't help but swear that I'd find him and bring him home!... Or at least, find out what happened to him."

Ezio nodded respectfully. He then looked between the picture of the missing boy and the security photo of the Green Rabbit.

His mind put the dots together, snapping his attention back and forth between the two images in disbelief. "W-Wait! Naomasa! Don't tell me that you think that-!"

"When I got the call and headed over, I spoke with the mother, Inko Midorya, about what her son, like what enjoyed doing." The strict detective detailed.

"She told me that he liked to make notes about heroes and their quirks, hoping that it would come in handy one day if he ever got his own."

"B-But, Tsu! That's just...I mean...c'mon! A Quirkless person, a kid at that, being a villain?!" Ezio babbled. "That's a little...!"

"I know, I know, it's beyond far-fetched!" The high ranking officer clarified. "But like said, it's just a theory! You can't deny that it could be a possibility. How he was able to foil the likes of Death Arms, Slugger, and Kamui Woods!"

"Please don't bring up Kamui Woods again! It took the fire department forever to put him out...At least he made out okay..."

Ezio shivered at the horrifying memory until he got back on track. "But, come on!"

He took up the picture of the missing boy's bashful face. "There's no way a kid as tender-looking as this could pull off a stunt like that!"

"Maybe yes, maybe no..." Tsukauchi took up his pen and gently tapped it on the surface of his desk.
