I Imagine!

Ethan stared at the multiple displays in front of his face. He already knew what universe he was in, so that didn't surprise him. What did surprise him was his Quirk.

I imagine!

The system didn't provide any further information about it, despite his attempts to ask. A few seconds later, the displays disappeared.

He tried to summon them back, but there was no trace. "I guess I don't have the aid of a system in this world," Ethan sighed. "That would have been nice, though."

He got up and began to survey the room. On the table were a couple of books, including a large math textbook, leading Ethan to conclude that he was still a student in this world.

Opening the wardrobe and searching around for a bit, he found a wallet containing a twenty-pound note and an ID card that caught his attention. In this world, he was still named Ethan, but his last name had changed to Davis. He was sixteen years old.

He walked over to the window and held his palm behind the glass, making it reflective so he could compare his face to the one on the card. His dark, ruffled hair aside, the pale-skinned, sharp-jawed boy was unmistakably him.

"At least I look good here," Ethan remarked as he tossed the card onto the bed.

Heading towards the door he assumed led outside, he found himself in a corridor of an apartment complex. Closing the door, he sat down on the bed, rubbing his eyes since he still felt tired.

"Now to figure out this Quirk."

Since the system didn't provide him with any information about his Quirk, including how to activate it, Ethan realized he had to understand how it worked on his own.

"From its name, I can at least figure out what it does," he thought. "So activating it shouldn't be too much of a hassle."

"Let's start small."

Stretching out his open palm in front of him, Ethan said, "I imagine… Apple."

Nothing.

"Well, I was intentional about it, so I'm guessing it takes a bit more than that."

"For a Quirk that brings forth my imagination, I'm guessing my imagination plays a major role."

"A clear image of an Apple."

Closing his eyes, Ethan tried to imagine an Apple in his palm. "I imagine… Apple."

Opening his eyes, he saw an apple sitting in his palm. "Well, would you look at that," Ethan laughed. "With a Quirk like this, I could become a God!"

Suddenly, a headache overwhelmed him, and the apple disappeared.

He rubbed his temples, trying to understand what had just happened. "A sudden headache and my creation disappearing... Is it the limits of my Quirk? If that's the case, then the headache must be one of the backlashes of using my Quirk."

The headache soon disappeared, but Ethan knew he needed to test the limits of his Quirk further to understand it better.

An hour passed, and Ethan could be found groaning on his bed, experiencing the worst headache of his life. But it was worth it. In the last hour, he had figured out the basics of his Quirk: it wouldn't activate unless he was intentional about it and had a clear image of what he wanted to happen in his head. He also didn't have to say anything to activate his Quirk, but it helped him be intentional about it.

He could create seemingly anything from nothing, but it wasn't permanent. The moment the image left his head, whatever he created would disappear. However, if he changed one thing into another, it was permanent.

Which explained the dagger on the desk and the absence of the textbook.

The headache was something that always happened. The greater or more complex his creation, the worse his headache would become. It also stacked, so the more he created, the worse the headache became.

It was a powerful Quirk, and the limitations didn't really seem like a problem. Still, there was only so much he could find out while experimenting in his room.

Ethan managed to get up and walk over to the desk, sitting on the chair and facing the dagger he had created a minute ago.

"Let's hope this works."

"I imagine… medicine."

An overwhelming pain washed over Ethan, and he almost felt himself black out. He saw the dagger break apart into particles that swirled around before coming back together to form a small white bottle.

Without wasting any time, Ethan grabbed the bottle, removed the lid, and took out one of the pills inside before forcing it down his throat.

Immediately, a calmness came over him. It felt like he was incredibly high, and the headache was nowhere to be seen.

He brought the bottle up to his face and smiled. "I might have made this a little stronger than I wanted it to be, but still, that's one problem solved."

With the medicine, he could counter the headaches that his Quirk gave him, but he would have to create one that was not this effective.

Ethan soon slept off and woke up a few hours later with a new directive in mind.

He searched his wardrobe and settled on a grey hoodie and sweatpants. Putting them on with some white trainers, he left his apartment with the phone he had found in one of the drawers in the desk.

"Let's test this out in the real world."

---

Ethan walked around the bustling city of Manchester, his hood over his head, browsing his phone. All he could find on the internet were news articles on heroes, the people they've saved, and the problems they've solved. A quick search on All Might revealed everything he already knew.

"This world is pretty much like the manga," Ethan mused. However, the manga predominantly focused on Japanese heroes, leaving Ethan at a loss for information about heroes in England.

Just as he was about to search for information about England's heroes, something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. In an alley to his left, a robbery was taking place.

'Now that's convenient.'

"There are no heroes to save you here, so I suggest you quickly drop everything you own!" one of the robbers said with a menacing laugh to the man they were targeting.

"Please, I don't have any money," the man pleaded.

"Do you think this is a joke?" the other robber growled. "Maybe I need to teach you a lesson first."

Just as he raised his hand to strike, a voice interrupted from the entrance of the alley. They turned to see Ethan walk in calmly.

"Please help me!" the man being robbed cried out, prompting one of the robbers to strike him, causing him to collapse on the ground.

"Hey!" the robber called out, pointing his finger at Ethan, which quickly transformed into a long blade. "I suggest you leave or you're gonna get hurt."

"Oh, that's an interesting quirk. But don't worry, I'm not here to play hero," Ethan responded and raised his hand to show it wasn't his intention.

"That's what I thought, now get lost kid!" The robber said with a smug look.

"Get lost?" Ethan was puzzled. "It may seem you misunderstood me. I said I'm not here to play hero… but to play villain."

"What?" The other robber frowned. "It seems you don't know how to take an olive branch, kid. Let me show you never to mess around in people's business."

The robbers arm stretched foward at fast speeds towards Ethan!

"I imagine… disappear."

_______

Ethan walked out of the alley while removing a tablet from the medicie bottle and quickly swallowing it before walking away.

In the alley, both the robbers and their victim, were gone.
