Two long fangs protruded out of its mouth and the insides of its mouth were deep red, its long slender tongue came out of its mouth and what came next was a screech. The frequency and closeness made Rod's visor crack.
The moment those hard glasses which were used for his visor broke, the sound struck his eardrums causing his heart to thump much harder.
Still mid-air, he pressed the triggers of both the beams, hitting the creature and causing it to screech once more. And that made the cracks on his visor spread out, but Rod knew once that bat got closer, he was dead.
Landing with his back, he slid a few meters and stopped. The muzzles of his blasters still spat flames until nothing came out anymore. Once he heard the clicking sound, Rod knew he was out of ammo.
