CHAPTER 7

ANA'S POINT OF VIEW

I'm Anastasia Sapphire Melodius Agatha. They call me Ana.

I am the Holy Saintess of the Angel Tribe, and the Holy Maiden of the Divines.

Yes! I am a Hybrid.

But, they said that I am not like 'that' Hybrid. Because I am 'special'.

I'll be lying if I say that I do not know what that means. I am fully aware of that because I already witnessed such treatment to 'those' Hybrids.

Why? Why do they need to suffer such persecutions because of the fact that they were born with mixed blood? Do they really need to be discriminated because of the thing that they did not choose? Do they really need to suffer?

Why am I 'special'? Is it because of I am a half-Angel and half-Divine?

I am also a Hybrid, but why do I need to watch my fellowmen to suffer while I am being treated differently?

My heart aches because of this.

For the past 18 years in my life, I didn't failed to ask Father why. I asked Him that countless times, but all I received as the answer is a deafening silence.

I also asked my teacher, the Angel Tribe lord. I also asked my godmother, the Divine Tribe lord. But I just asked them and waited for the answer in vain.

They are not at fault. Because despite of their affection to me and their willingness to pamper me and show me my importance, there are still things that they cannot be done.

I am here, as an envoy of judgement and guidance to all those who are in need. And my first step... Is this.

I looked around the territory of humans. The South and East Kingdoms are now engulfed with the eternal darkness. But before that, I already foreseen the appearance of the new territory that will be meant to be for the Human beings.

"I apologize for what happened, Lady Julianne. But please, don't fret. Because soon, a new kingdom will arise. I just tried my best to clean—"

"Your holiness! Did you used your..." Gabriel asked me, panic is written all over his handsome face.

I placed my finger on his lips and made a hush sound. I also winked at him that made him close his mouth.

I don't want anyone to know what I did. Because I want nothing but to help the people in need.

"That's so reckless, your holiness! Your insight is still unstable! How if your prediction is wrong? Humans are narrow-minded, you already saw it yourself! What will you do then?" Gabriel started to nag me when we are alone inside the hotel we are temporarily staying.

"What? They have intention to harm her holiness? Let us see if they can get pass by me." Riegne said.

I know that Gabriel is just worried about me. And I know Riegne will protect me. But I can't stop myself when I see something unbearable like those kings displayed.

"A forcefully picked melon isn't sweet, Gab. I don't want them to taint the peacefulness Father gave us." I replied.

"But, remember that even a forcefully picked melon can still quench one's thirst. It is also inevitable that this peacefulness you want to maintain will one day be destroyed by some lunatic. Father gave you the power to maintain it, but He didn't tell you to force yourself. We are still melons inside His garden. Do not let the sweetness He cultivated you for will get sour. He won't like it." Gabriel said.

"I can shower this sweetness you say to everyone to make Father happy. I'll sacrifice myself just to do it."

"Listen up. Stubbornness of yours is also a virtue. But remember that your life is not yours alone. Your life is Father's happiness. So please, do not take everything for yourself. Even for a bit, we hope that you will also rely to us because that is what our existence means." Riegne suddenly said seriously.

I gasped after that. At the corner of my eyes, I saw Gab, bewildered while staring at Rie blankly. Rie glared at us but we didn't budged at all.

"Rie... Are you sick?" I asked first.

Rie stared at us for a while before her face started to wrinkle. She frowned at us and narrowed her eyes.

"You! You don't think I am being weird, right? Your holiness? Gabriel?" Rie asked.

I didn't dared to reply as well as Gab. It made Rie conclude that her guess is right.

"This is ridiculous! So unfair!" She started to retaliate with an irritated expression.

Gab and Rie started to bicker with each other and left me to watch them while sitting beside the window.

Today, we are scheduled to pay the Beast Lord a visit and have a tour.

I am curious as to what I will see in their place. Among the five tribes, the Beast Tribe is the one that was less to talk about even in the ancient books I have studied before.

But, a hundred years before my birth, the current Beast Lord made a huge mess in their system that also put his name in the history— the Blood Moon Pack Massacre.

I would be lying if I say that I am not interested in him. Because of his own way of seeking justice is different from what I know and what I learned since I am a kid.

According to what I learned, there are three types of Justice Seeking.

The Justice by Law that was given by following the needed procedures according to the law or rules given and approved by the officials.

The Justice by Verbal that is a negotiation that only follows the judgement of the two parties.

And the Justice Nonverbal or it is just the judgement by two parties without any negotiation or they just learned it themselves and accepted it without complains. This is what I did earlier after recognizing that the two royal families acknowledged their faults.

But in the Beast Lord's case, he made a new type of it that may be called Justice by Vengeance. He learned the right judgement, punished the culprit with the equivalency of their sins.

I want to get to know him and to know his reasons. Maybe, after learning from him, I will be able to learn more from him and luckily, to apply it throughout my lifetime duty as a Saintess.

But, more than anything else, the Father is my only priority as He is more important than my humble life.

As we walked in the territory unnoticed, we noticed a commotion not far from the Beast Lord's castle.

We walked towards it, and in my surprise, a familiar red eyes turned to me. It shrunk and I saw how shock the owner was.

Unlike the Beast Lord, his complexion is dark and he have a long silver hair. He is bruised all over with some scratch. My eyes widen and without any more other thoughts, despite the fact that I'll be hit, I rushed to him and hugged him to protect him.

I heard gasped all around and I heard Rie and Gab's voices, stopping the crowd from their bullying.

I know at first glance, he is also a hybrid, just like me.

Why do this world so unfair? Why?!

Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
