Behind him, a sharp voice suddenly echoed—it was Madame Gao.
"I know you've recently fallen for a woman, Kingpin. I hope she doesn't make you weak!"
Hearing this, a surge of anger rose within Kingpin. He turned around, his expression blank, his eyes dead like a fish's. "Nothing can make me weak. I am stronger now than I've ever been."
Madame Gao saw the look in his eyes and chuckled before turning to the Daredevil. "Someone like you, falling for someone else, is a mistake. The bigger mistake is that you fell for a female assassin. You have no future together. You may give her money, status, and attention, but you will never give her the security she truly needs. It's better to cut ties before a tragedy unfolds."
These words made both Daredevil and Kingpin fall into silence. Daredevil hesitated, then glanced at Kingpin. "You also have..."
"Shut up!" Kingpin glared at him. He then turned to Madame Gao. "I didn't come here for your cryptic comments. Earlier on the phone, you said you wanted to revive... the Beast?"
Madame Gao smiled slightly, her tone mixed with a bit of reverence. "To be precise, we are going to bring the power of this ancient demonic god into the present world. The reason Daredevil is still alive is that he is a perfect vessel for the 'Beast'."
Daredevil's eyes widened. "The 'Beast'? You people have lost your minds! You'll bring New York to ruin!"
Kingpin picked up Daredevil's mask from the floor and walked toward him, chuckling. "There's no other choice. The Devil Face is too ruthless. For the future of New York's underground, we have to do this. If you want to blame someone, blame him."
After finishing, he stuffed the mask into Daredevil's mouth, and Daredevil could only emit muffled sounds.
Kingpin turned around. "So, how do we make this 'Beast' descend?"

Before he could hear the full story from the Widow, Cohen was shocked into sitting upright.
Damn, The Hand is trying to summon a demon god's power? Have they consulted with the Ancient One?
But Cohen wasn't sure if the Sorcerer Supreme would even intervene. She barely responded when he asked for help last time. Perhaps she's off visiting some other dimension?
With these thoughts in mind, he gestured for the Widow to approach. She obediently lay down, and he bit into her neck again, this time injecting his unique "Day Walker" blood.
After turning into a vampire, the Widow's physical abilities greatly increased, but she had obvious weaknesses. After merging with the Day Walker blood, she lost all three major weaknesses, further enhancing her abilities, and her need to feed on blood diminished. With her poison expertise, her combat strength skyrocketed, making her nearly untouchable even if she returned to the Brotherhood.
After she left, Cohen thought deeply. Such dangerous matters must be reported to SHIELD.
After all, they can't just sit back and watch. Their duty is to maintain global peace—they should be taking the lead.
He woke David up and asked him to call SHIELD's number.
Soon, the line connected, and Coulson's voice came through. "Hello?"
"Are Hawkeye and Black Widow still in New York? Tell them to put the mission to find Dreykov on hold. A disaster might be brewing in New York. They should be ready at any moment and wait for my orders. Also, SHIELD should prepare for evacuations and rescue operations. When the time comes, follow my instructions."
"Click!" The phone was hung up.
Coulson, just waking from sleep, listened to the beeping on the phone, confused.
Was this call from the Devil Face or from the Director?
The way this was ordered, so decisively, what level agent are you?
I'm an eighth-level agent, and no one, except the Director, dares to talk to me like that!
Grinding his teeth in frustration, he still had to get to work. He opened his phone, found Fury's number, and dialed.
"Hello?"
"Director, let me tell you, this Devil Face guy is out of line..."

The next morning, a familiar visitor came to the church.
Wesley, a rookie assassin who had just learned the eighteen arts from the Assassin Brotherhood.
The system had not given him a target, meaning he had not yet carried out any missions.
In fact, this was precisely why he had come.
Yesterday was supposed to be his first mission, but he hesitated. He couldn't bring himself to kill a stranger.
Moreover, he remembered something Cohen had said: "When you carry out your first kill, come find me."
Wesley told Cohen what had happened, and Cohen nodded approvingly.
"Good thing you followed my advice. If not, I might've had to kill you myself."
Wesley froze. Had he heard that right?
The kindly priest who always gave him gentle advice had just said something like this?
Seeing his incredulous expression, Cohen smiled, then raised his finger like a sword. "Come on, try and stop me!"
With that, Cohen moved swiftly, his finger stopping mere millimeters from Wesley's eye.
Wesley instinctively took a few steps back, shocked. He had never encountered anyone like this in the Brotherhood! His heart raced as though facing a prehistoric beast.
Cohen moved forward slowly. "I said, stop me!"
For the third time, his finger remained just millimeters from Wesley's eye.
Cohen slowly withdrew his hand, standing with his hands behind his back.
Wesley broke into a cold sweat, panting as if he had just surfaced from underwater.
"Father, what... what are you?"
"I am... a knight of God!"
Wesley was still confused. "What... is that?"
"I am God's gift, a knight who punishes evil...
This world will either be purified by me, or it will be destroyed!"
After that Cohen told Wesley the story of what happened between his father and the Assassins Brotherhood.
Wesley slumped into the chair, stunned.
"You mean the Brotherhood trained me to kill my father?"
"Yes."
Cohen nodded. "Brotherhood leader Sloan betrayed the Brotherhood for money.
He forged the list and killed innocent people.
All the murders by the Brotherhood became his accomplices.
Your father found out about it and left the Brotherhood to stop Sloan."
Wesley suddenly thought of something. "Then Fox..."
"She was a believer. Unfortunately... fate didn't save her."
Wesley slumped into the chair in despair. He never imagined that Sloan, with his sweet voice and elegant manner, had betrayed his faith.
Damn, the old man was terrifying!
"What should I do now?"
"First, find your biological father. Then, the Brotherhood needs purification!"
