Without the containment of the neck ring, Katie could already use her Ability normally. However, due to her limited mobility, the issue of experimental explanation didn't pose a significant challenge.

Although Katie's abilities differed from Max's, she possessed the unique skill to molecularize herself, allowing her to traverse any obstacle. In this state, she could temporarily merge with objects without altering their original structures, much like Max's Devil Fruit ability. 

Katie, grateful for Max's earlier assistance, eagerly shared her experience with him, describing how she felt when utilizing her Ability. In return, Max demonstrated his own powers to help Katie gain a better understanding.

Regrettably, Max didn't find immediate inspiration from their exchange, leaving him without a clear direction for further developing his Ability.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful," Katie said apologetically. "But if you ever need my assistance again, I'm more than willing to help!"

Max beamed with a smile. "No need to apologize! Developing one's Ability takes time. Even if our conversation didn't provide instant insights, it wasn't in vain. I might still need to absorb and ponder the information you shared. And there's one specific way you can assist me."

Katie leaned in, intrigued. "Tell me more."

Max explained, "I'm currently studying how to resist mental Abilities. I aim to create a mental barrier, but it's only surface-level for now. Can you molecularize your body? If you're willing, I'd like to practice this new Ability on you."

Katie's eyes widened as she considered the proposal. "You mean create the barrier within me when I'm molecularized?"

Max nodded, his eyes filled with determination. 

Katie agreed, "I'm willing to give it a try, but I'm not sure if it's possible. When I'm in a molecularized state, my body becomes somewhat intangible. How can you create a barrier within me?"

Max reassured her, "Let's experiment, and we'll figure it out together."

Katie nodded, focusing her thoughts to activate her Ability. She became molecularized, her form becoming ethereal. Max extended his hand, trying to touch her head, but his hand passed right through.

"See, I told you it wouldn't work," Katie commented.

Max, however, remained undeterred. He closed his eyes, his concentration palpable as he felt the space around his hands. After a moment, a small grin crept onto his face.

"Open!" he declared.

In that instant, Katie couldn't help but let out a surprised gasp, sensing a shift in the structure of her mind.

"How did you do it?" Katie inquired, her amazement evident.

Max, now connected with the mental barrier he created, slowly explained, "Because you were molecularized, my hand could pass through your head, allowing me to succeed. But I'm not entirely certain if this barrier can resist mental Abilities on a spiritual level, or if it will have any adverse effects on your brain when you're not using your Ability."

"But at least it gave me a preliminary direction," Max said, his face lighting up with enthusiasm. He playfully retracted his hand and took a step back, a mischievous grin on his face. "Look, it's still helpful!"

Katie couldn't help but chuckle at Max's infectious excitement. "That's good!" she exclaimed, sharing in his enthusiasm.

Max's mind was racing with newfound ideas. "In addition to this, I just thought of something," he continued. "When you use your Ability, any physical attack will pass through your body, or even bullets. Then I thought, I too can do this!"

Katie's eyes widened with curiosity. "You mean, you can open the door on your body so that you don't have to worry about being shot?" she asked, impressed by the thought.

Max nodded eagerly. "Exactly! Although it requires a high response time and the speed of opening the door, these are skills that can be improved with practice."

As he spoke, Max began to sink into contemplation. The idea of opening a door on an object was one thing, but opening it on his own body to avoid attacks was a whole new level of control. He even realized that this ability could be extended to help others as well.

"You rest for a bit, Katie. I'll delve into this," Max said with determination, then turned and left.

In Max's mind, he saw the different dimensions and structures of space as a puzzle waiting to be solved. Every space had its unique levels and layouts, and by understanding these structures and lines, he could achieve his goals more easily and rapidly. Opening a door in the air was a more challenging task than on an object, but Max was determined to master it. He believed that understanding the structure of the body was the key to unlocking this ability.

As fate would have it, there was a perfect candidate for Max's research—Viper! With Viper's help, Max hoped to unravel the mysteries of the body's structure and take his powers to a whole new level. The adventure was just beginning, and Max couldn't be more thrilled about the possibilities that lay ahead.
