Marvel: Starting from the Bottom

"Transmigration." Ah, such an interesting concept. Many dream about being reborn in a world filled with heroes and villains. But not me... Thrown into a world where Gods walk among mortals, I will do everything in my power to survive. Stealing, robbing, killing, manipulating? I will do them all. I will be the one to survive until the end. Heros, Villains, Eternals, Deviants, Gods, Demons... SCREW THEM ALL!!! This is my story and I will make sure that everyone gets that right! I am Marcellus, a mutant who started from the bottom. [Pat reon.com/Greedyfrog] [Disclaimer: Other than my MC and the OCs, I do not own anything used in this fanfiction.]

A Pterodactyl

Holy smokes! I expected to see some prehistoric creatures but definitely not a pterodactyl. No, it is not a normal pterodactyl, it's some sort of a mutated one.

Pterodactyl does not have purple teeth. And I am not risking a bite either.

"Argh." And there was also the blonde woman who was barely awake. Her face was purple, maybe she's poisoned.

That increased my suspicion of the pterodactyl being poisonous even more.

I need to end it before it can bite.

I let my claws extend as a feral grin appeared on my face. I haven't fought such a massive creature yet and seeing it in front of me, is making me excited.

Maybe it is my animal instinct… which I will have to get rid of.

But throwing away my worries at the back of my head for later, I rushed towards the large prehistoric predator.

It opened its beak and tried to bite my arm off. But I didn't care about such things and pushed my clawed arm towards it.

Its fangs were sharp and strong to the point that it managed to take one of my claw hits. Some of it's saliva sprayed over my arm.

I had no doubt that it was poisonous. My senses were screaming at me to get it off, and looking at the unconscious girl, I was sure that she was poisoned.

That's all I needed to know before getting rid of it. I shoved my arm inside its beak and let him bite it. The claws elongated and hit its inner part of the head.

I dragged my claws inside his mouth, carving his entire mouth with my claws. I pushed my other arm on his neck, splitting it open.

The pterodactyl screeched and tried to make one last struggle by biting my arm off. But I was faster and poked its eyeball with my claw.

.

.

.

It died a painful death.

"Now…" I turned around and found the girl lying unconscious on the ground. She was painted in a ghastly shade of purple as the poison was killing her body.

"I need to get the poison out of her body."

My eyes snapped open as the feeling of the cold wind and the stickiness around my arm started making me feel uncomfortable.

My body was still weak as I was barely able to move.

"Where am I." Urrgh… This headache.

"You are in a cave. Which I won from a gorilla." My eyes snapped towards the source of the voice but besides that, I wasn't able to do much. My body was numb.

"Easy there, you are not yet back to full health." The man was not from our lands.

"Who are you?" He was weak-looking.

He chuckled. "The name's Marcellus, your savior." My eyes twitched, but it looks like he saved me.

"How did you get rid of the poison?" The bite was around my arm. Under normal circumstances, the blue-glaze herb would have cured it. But I don't think that he knows about it.

"I had an antidote for the poison." Antidote? Did he find the herb somewhere? "But despite it getting rid of the poison from your system, your body will be numb for a few hours." He looked outside. "It's getting dark, we should camp here for the night."

I am not very comfortable around him. Not because he is a man, but because he is a foreigner. And if my father finds out about him spending the night under the same roof as me, he will kill him.

He raised an eyebrow after looking at my face. "Don't worry, I won't do anything to harm you. If I wanted, I could have done that when you were unconscious."

I nodded. "I know, I believe that you won't." My face morphed into a scowl. "But… why are you here?"

He laughed. "You can see that I have nothing on me." Which was true. The only thing he had was his clothes. "So there are two possibilities. Either I am an idiot who risked his life in the name of adventure or I am just a guy who had an accident and landed here."

He smiled. "So, what do you think?"

"You got here by accident…"

"And why do you think so?" He seemed curious.

"There have been only five people who came here from the outside. And all of them got here because of some unfortunate accident." I said. "So, there is no way that you could have found this location just for adventuring."

"Correct." He sighed. "I was supposed to go past this place but the storm got me." There was indeed a huge storm last night.

"So, you survived here without anything?" That's quite suspicious.

"Well, I got my arms and legs." This made me frown.

"You look weak." Now, he frowned.

"Well sorry for not looking like a gorilla. But you must have forgotten that I was the one who saved you from that pterodactyl." Well, that is indeed true. He did save me.

But…

"What's a pterodactyl?" I asked in genuine confusion.

He raised an eyebrow. "What do you call that bird-like monster that attacked you?"

Oh.

"You mean the Ettutu?" He calls them pterodactyl? That's difficult to pronounce.

"Yeah, from where I am from, they are known as the pterodactyl, and let's just say that you don't see them very often." That's weird. Ettutus are pretty common here.

"I see." *HUmmm* "I am tired?" But I just woke up?

"It's because of the antidote. It makes you drowsy." He stood up. "You should rest. I will keep watch."

"Thank you." He might be weak. But he is honorable.

[The next morning]

The rays of the morning sun hitting my face woke me up from my sleep… just to find the man sitting near the entrance of the cave and sharpening a branch.

"What are you doing?" Is he making a weapon?

"Ah, you are awake." He smiled. "I was getting bored, so I started doing this to keep myself busy." I was wrong, he is no warrior.

I slowly stood up. There was no numbness but I was still a tiny bit drowsy.

"You alright?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, just a little drowsy."

"You should wash your face, we have to cross the lake." I can go on my own at this point but…

"You don't know where to go, do you?" This made him look down in embarrassment.

"I don't."

"*Giggle* I knew it." He rolled his eyes. "I will… bring you to my place."

"Is it safe?"

"You saved my life. So, I should be able to at least keep you safe and then later show you the way out of here." Then I remembered something. "But the rest will depend on my father. Whether he decides to keep you alive or kill you."

He raised his eyebrow. "Why?"

This made me smirk. "Because he is the Lord."
