A Prophecy

"Lord Zane, what do you wish to exchange?" Odin asked curiously.

"A prophecy!"

"A prophecy?" Odin exclaimed in surprise.

Not because he doubted Zane's prophecy.

In fact, powerful beings like Zane had their own dignity as powerful entities.

They wouldn't stoop to spreading such low-level lies.

What surprised Odin was that Zane also possessed the ability to foresee the future.

His queen, Frigga, also had the ability to foresee the future, but she could only see fleeting images.

And it wasn't certain when these events would occur, or if they would happen at all.

Even so, Frigga's foresight had helped Asgard avoid many dangers.

It could be said that Asgard's long-term stability was greatly owed to Frigga, the queen of the Gods.

So Odin was astonished when Zane mentioned exchanging for a prophecy, and he began to value Zane even more.

"That's right, a prophecy, and it's about the Twilight of the Gods!" Zane smiled.

Upon hearing the words "Twilight of the Gods," Odin suddenly tightened his grip on the Spear, his divine power surging through him.

The Twilight of the Gods was the future his wife had earliest and most frequently foreseen.

But Odin and all the people of Asgard had still not detected any signs, ultimately only able to caution future generations by recording it in history books.

For thousands of years, the Twilight of the Gods had been a concern for Odin, and hearing Zane mention it made him excited.

"Is the information accurate?" Odin asked with a slightly trembling voice, suppressing his excitement.

"One hundred percent accurate!"

Seeing Odin's reaction, Zane's eyes brightened, thinking there might be some intrigue.

Upon hearing Zane's affirmative reply, Odin discreetly took a few deep breaths, suppressing his excitement, pondering for a moment before responding:

"Lord Zane, I accept your offer, but I also require something in return!" Odin stared intently at Zane with his one eye.

Upon hearing Odin's somewhat demanding tone, Zane subtly furrowed his brow.

"What is it?"

"Your favor, I need you to lend aid to Asgard once in the future when it faces a life-threatening crisis!" Odin said sincerely.

He could sense Zane's strength and youthfulness. Although Odin believed he could currently overpower Zane, youth meant an infinite future. Zane, at only 21 years old, was already so powerful; who knew how much stronger he would become in the future?

This was why Odin had always held Zane in such high regard.

With thousands of years of experience, Odin could anticipate that once Zane emerged onto the cosmic stage, he would rapidly become incredibly powerful.

This additional condition from Odin was to provide Asgard with an ally and assurance.

Odin was growing old, nearing his moment of demise, and Asgard's new ruler was not yet qualified to inherit his throne.

Previously, his eldest daughter had the qualifications and power, but Hela's ideology was too extreme, ultimately leading Asgard towards destruction.

Upon hearing Odin's additional request, Zane rubbed his chin, a characteristic gesture when he was contemplating.

After weighing the pros and cons, Zane finally had an answer.

"I can agree to your request, but I will only intervene once."

"And if the enemy is too powerful for me to handle, then this agreement is automatically nullified," Zane said seriously.

Odin breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this; he also agreed with Zane's request.

After all, one couldn't demand someone to risk their life as part of an agreement!

Zane's willingness to agree indicated he was a person of commitment, which made Odin even more reassured.

If Asgard encountered an enemy that even Zane couldn't defeat in the future, then it would be Asgard's fate.

"Don't worry, since you have an additional request, it would be unfair if I didn't make one too," Zane said with a hint of dissatisfaction.

It was said that old age didn't come alone, and Odin was a perfect example of this saying.

Although he appeared upright, there was undoubtedly a darker side to him!

"Haha, alright, Lord Zane, feel free to make your request. As long as it's not too unreasonable, I swear by my honor as the King of the Gods that I will fulfill it," Odin said with a relieved smile.

At this moment, Zane could already be considered an ally of Asgard, and Odin was genuinely happy that Asgard had gained a promising ally.

"It's nothing major, I just want my people to learn some of your basic technologies," Zane said, retracting his previously feigned dissatisfaction.

Odin had opened himself up generously, showing great magnanimity, which was a sincere gesture.

Zane, of course, wouldn't make any unreasonable requests.

Zane readily agreed, understanding that with the existence of Skynet, an artificial intelligence life form, basic technologies would lead to the rapid development of advanced technologies.

Zane believed that Asgard's unique technology would undoubtedly enrich his own foundation.

Now that the deal had been struck, Zane naturally had to fulfill his promise.

His powerful soul directly simulated a long series of scenes, which if seen by the people of Earth, would undoubtedly recognize as scenes from the movie "Thor: Ragnarok."

However, Zane intentionally omitted some scenes, only revealing the specific process of the Twilight of the Gods.

As for the involvement of the Hulk, Thor's unexpected encounter with the Grandmaster, or their spaceship encountering Thanos, Zane did not include these scenes.

Finally, a ball of light flew out of Zane's forehead directly towards Odin's head.

Unaware of any danger or anomaly, Odin generously did not dodge, allowing this unknown light ball to enter his mind.

One shouldn't underestimate the intuition of a seasoned warrior like Odin.

In the instant the ball of light entered Odin's mind, he seemed to traverse through the river of time.

As an onlooker, he clearly witnessed his own downfall.

The return of his eldest daughter, the death Goddess Hela.

And her subsequent massacre of Asgard's army and people upon returning to Asgard.

Finally, he saw Thor, the God of thunder, awakening his true power after Hela blinded one of his eyes.
