"Nah, I don't think so, even without my backing, you guys would have completed it anyway, it would just take some time" James replied

"True but your funds is making it happen quicker and with all the assist you guys sent over, I think we may be done with it by the end of the year"

"That's great then that means by this time next year, we would be planning on how to colonise Mars or Venus… sorry Venus is easier to colonise" James said with a smile, these people would definitely become the Fantastic four

"True but what exactly are you here for" Reed interjected tired of the never ending compliments

"Straight to the point, nice, anyway I came because of a project you guys submitted, the whatchamacallit…"

"The Interdimensional Portal?" Reed asked

"Yes, though I would have chosen the name Inter-portal, it's a bit more you know catchy and easy on the mouth" James said and Ben and Susan's brother, Jonathan laughed

"What about it" Reed rolled his eyes and asked

"Yeah, I can't approve of it at least as of now but I do have an alternative to it though"

"Why?" Reed asked without even a hint of surprise, he had long since expected it, the company had always delayed talks about the project and had largely ignored it.

"The idea is very impressive and I am very sure you guys already have a working prototype but did it occur to you that the dimension you guys opened a portal to, could be inhabited and it's inhabitants may not be happy about us taking their resources"

"That is impossible, from our experiments, life can never thrive there, it is completely impossible for it do so, it lacks all the necessary components to support life" Reed replied confidently

"You're basing that on the evolution of humanity and yes, you are correct, the place has no means to support life for us humans, no oxygen, no water nothing but you seem to forget that fact that the place we are talking about is in a separate dimension. We don't know how the laws of physics, chemistry and biology work there and who is to say that this place we are going to isn't the colony for some advanced race. It is a full dimension and it has planets, where there are planets, there is a solar system, and where solar systems exist a galaxy exists. I don't want to risk the existence of us humans because we went looking for resources in a place we haven't really explored very well" James explained, this was now reality to him, he knew that the Negative Zone was home to many races and most of them are hostile. The only reason Reed had it easy in the comics was because he was lucky to have opened his first portal to a barren planet.

In reality, one shouldnt rely on such dumb luck. Annahilus was an extremely powerful guy and while James could defeat him by simply waving his hand, still didn't want Annahilus discovering the regular universe without there being an army ready to stop him. Reed was smart but unfortunately if you choose to ignore certain facts then they never come to mind at all.

*Sighs* "I nearly doomed us all" Reed said in horror when he realized just how unprepared he truly was if something had happened on the other side

"No, don't blame yourself, you had every right to base their evolution on Earth's after all, every planet we have found even traces of microorganisms all have the the same conditions as Earth so your decision is okay and also your idea gave me an idea, rather than create portals to transport people interdimensionally, why don't we create one that can transport you to and fro from any part of the world to any part of the world" James said

"That….. is indeed a great idea, transport would be much faster and we can transport resources with ease to any part of the world that needs it… it would even help reduce the carbon emissions of our cars and planes" Reed said slapping his forehead

"It should be easier to develop using the technology already at hand" Sue commented

"I know, figuring out how to teleport people from one place to another within the same universe or planet should be easier than interdimensional transport. All we have to do is create some sort of Teleportation stations all around the world as though they were bus or subway stations" James said smiling from ear to ear

"Kid I have to admit, you are seriously on a whole different level" Ben said impressed

"I know, big man, though I would need to ask for you guys help in building it but it should come after the rocket or spacecraft"

"No problems, you guys are the boss though we still have the energy problem"
