Chapter 85: The First Appearance of Thanos

"Clint, you've had a tough week," Tony Stark said. "We won't mock you even if you can't lift it."

"Surely someone has tried before," Clint Barton gripped the hammer with his right hand and exerted force to lift it, but the hammer didn't budge.

"I still don't understand how you did it," Clint Barton smiled and let go of the hammer.

"Did you feel our silent contempt?" Tony Stark heckled from below.

"Come on, Stark, you have to give it a try," Clint Barton beckoned Tony Stark.

"Fine," Tony Stark was never one to be understated. He stood up and said, "Why be afraid of such a fair competition."

"It's just physics," Tony Stark grabbed the handle of the hammer. "By the way, if I can lift the hammer, does that mean I can rule Asgard?"

"Of course," Thor replied affirmatively.

"Then I'll definitely reinstate prima nocta," Tony Stark grasped the handle of the hammer with both hands, even stepping on the table to exert more force. However, the hammer remained immovable.

"I'll be right back," Tony Stark decided to put on one of his armor's hands. He used the armor's propulsion to try to lift the hammer, but he still couldn't.

"It's interesting. It's so heavy that not even Stark in his armor can move it a hair's breadth," within the quiz space, Bruce Banner observed with interest. "But with such weight, it can't even break a glass table. It seems that Newton's coffin board won't be able to hold it down."

After Tony Stark, the camera switched directly to Captain America, Steve Rogers.

"Come on, Captain," Clint Barton cheered for him.

Steve Rogers first rolled up his sleeves, then he gripped the handle with both hands and exerted force, and the hammer actually moved slightly! Although the movement was extremely small, almost imperceptible, everyone in the quiz space could see it.

Thor also witnessed this scene in the video, and his smiling expression suddenly changed.

However, Steve Rogers didn't pick up the hammer. Thor's smile returned to his face. "Haha, still not enough."

"Nanotechnology!" Tony Stark in the quiz space only took one glance and immediately recognized the technology his future self had used. He felt his breath tighten. Nano technology had actually been successfully applied to his suit!

"Alright, Thor, bring it on!" Tony Stark watched his past self say those words in the video.

The camera then switched to Thor with long hair and a beard.

"Charge, Thor!" Clint Barton cheered for him.

Thor clenched two weapons in his hands. In his left hand was the familiar Mjolnir, and in his right hand was an axe that no one had ever seen before.

After the lightning struck him, Thor's two weapons were continuously charged as if being filled with energy. A faint blue light emanated from them.

"Ah~" Thor combined the two weapons, and a dazzling lightning burst forth, shooting into the mechanical starfish that opened up behind Tony Stark.

It was at this moment that everyone realized that the mechanical starfish was charging the armor.

Upon receiving Thor's lightning energy, the mechanical starfish on Tony Stark's back emitted a dazzling energy beam. At the same time, energy beams shot out from Tony Stark's palms.

Combined with the six energy beams from the mechanical starfish on his back, a total of eight energy beams shot out.

Tony Stark didn't say a word. His eyes were fixed on the video. To be honest, the power of the armor in the video surprised even him, the inventor.

The armor's power was immense. How would his enemies be able to handle it?

The next moment, everyone in the quiz space saw how the enemy would respond.

The targets of those energy beam attacks were a person with purple skin, about the same height as the Hulk. Earthlings could never look like that. Either he was like Bruce Banner, capable of transforming, or he wasn't human.

Faced with the eight dazzling energy beams from Tony Stark, Thanos had a simple response.

He simply spun his weapon.

Whirrr!

The weapon spun rapidly like a fan, cutting through the air with a mournful cry.

All eight energy beams were blocked by the spinning blade, unable to penetrate through!

Heavens, those were energy beams! Yet they were completely blocked by this physical method. It was absurd.

Tony Stark and Thanos were deadlocked, but Thor didn't stand idle. He threw Mjolnir into the air, gripped the axe with both hands, and with a swift swing, Mjolnir shot forward like an arrow, heading straight for Thanos.

But Thanos, being a crafty old fox, grabbed Tony Stark and lifted him up, using him as a human shield.

Boom!

With a loud crash, Tony Stark was sent flying by Mjolnir, landing far away and closing his eyes. Mjolnir fell to the ground.

Steve Rogers appeared, wielding his shield and launching an attack on Thanos. But Thanos easily blasted him away, causing him to crash into a large rock that shattered upon impact.
