Marvel : A Reptilian Adventure

The Marvel Multiverse is one of the most chaotic, cherished, hated, scrutinised and adapted set of stories the world has ever seen. How much of a mess can a biology student stir up in the aforementioned madness of temperamental cosmic beings, unusually robust moral codes, and characters that get killed and resurrected an ungodly amount of times, when he gets unceremoniously dropped in one of its infinite hostile universes? Worse still, his mind seems to have been shoved into the most tortured characters in comic history. Peter Parker. And one who never got bitten by the infamous spider. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Shaw-Shanked Condemnation

The smell of burning flesh and plastic hung in the air as a well-dressed man walked down the aisle while the remaining passengers attempted to remain dead silent. Well, he'd be well-dressed if it were not for the fact that his shirt and coat hung in tatters, riddled with bullet holes and slashes.

His glowing eyes betrayed his madness as he hummed to himself among the terrified passengers. Some of them were dead, killed and mutilated by him, their family members trying their best not to break down.

STEP

STEP

Killian's melted boots echoed in the silent plane while he walked up and down.

"In the spider's web, my sweet prey lay, but first, a billionaire awaits a few miles away", Killian whistled to himself, random bursts of orangish-gold striking through his sculpted body, as though something within him couldn't wait to explode.

"...You....m-monster..."

His enhanced hearing made him turn his head back, spotting a young woman silently sobbing over her husband whose face had been literally melted down into goo - a handprint of Killian's permanently etched onto his now featureless face.

"Keep quiet, young lass, for if your face is sand, I'll make it glass", Killian growled, mildly annoyed.

"m-monster....", she continued to sob, which made Killian's eyes glow with unnatural rage.

He swivelled on his heel and marched up to the woman before ripping her from the body of her husband and grabbing her face with a single hand. She tried to escape his grasp but Killain's superhuman strength made his hand unmovable.

Aldrich's hand began to glow orange and the remaining passengers closed their eyes in fear - parents clamped their hands over their children's mouths, refusing to look at the horrifying scene.

Tears filled the woman's eyes, but she glared defiantly into Killain's mad eyes, gritting her teeth with barely contained rage.

"I hope this brand serves as a reminder, Join your husband, hearts entwined, in forever", Killian chuckled his skin heating up beyond what a normal human could ever handle.

"I hope you rot in hell you miserable son of a bitch!", she snarled as her skin began to sizzle, hate dripping from her every word.

Just as Killian's smile grew bigger, and he prepared to fully torch the woman's face, the pilot's announcement rang, temporarily saving her life.

[ S-sir, we are approaching the runway ]

"Finally! I thought I'd have to spill gore to make you soar and land the plane before I bore.", Aldrich cackled.

"That's a horrible rhyme...", the woman stuttered and Killian whirled around, glaring daggers at her but she merely glared back, no visible change to her expression despite the third-degree burn on her cheek. Sure, she was afraid - hell, she was terrified, but right now, her life was shattered by the man before her. Death was but an escape - a far better option than continuing to live.

"Do you wish to die? I'll gladly help you say goodbye', Killian snapped, clenching his fist that heated enough to make light around him bend.

"Fuck you, rhymless bastard!", she yelled before closing her eyes.

BAM!

***

BOOM!

The helicopter seemed to smash outside the airport, in the perimeter - easily deduced by the yells and screams of terror from outside.

"Logan? They only sent you?", the man at the runway twirled around and looked at Wolverine charging him as though he was going through a mania episode, his adamantium claws reflecting the powerful lights surrounding him.

'It's Kitty Pyrde, isn't it? That's how they were invisible for so long', Peter thought as his body worked his way across the shadows, creeping closer to the runway before camouflaging himself on top of the bus that was about fifty metres from the airport. A place from where he could clearly see the interaction between Wolverine and the man who looked suspiciously like a certain Sebastian Shaw.

"'bout time you get skewered on my claws, Shaw", Logan growled, jumping forward while slashing down with his claws, the two children that were previously behind him nowhere to be seen.

Shaw sighed and ignored the attack, riling up a fist before launching a punch that made the air scream, "You never learn do you?"

Logan merely responded by evading Shaw's amature punch with the elegance of a dancer, transforming his slash into a clean roll, before transitioning into a claw slash at the leg.

"Gruh", Shaw winced as Logan's claws came to a dead stop at his leg after slashing through his suit and leaving three small skin cuts.

'Same power set as in the comics. Absorption of Kinetic energy. He's good at it, but not perfect. A small part of the attack still leaks through.', Peter observed from his hiding spot, his reptilian eyes seeing far more than a human's, waiting for the perfect chance to strike.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

The sound of the plane's engine began to fill the air as it lowered down onto the runway.

"Maybe not, bub, but I've been around long enough to know that some lessons are best learned the hard way", Logan growled loudly, speaking over the faintly increasing sound of the plane's engine.

"I know you're an old man, Logan, so stop talking like one", Shaw spat, elbowing downwards, enhancing both his speed and his strength with Logan's own strike, smashing into the mutant's skull which let out a metallic hum.

"Did you have to go for the head?", Logan said and stumbled back a few steps away from the runway while the flesh on his scalp regenerated within seconds.

"It's more satisfying", Shaw dashed forward, careening toward Logan, using a large part of his latent Kinetic energy to launch a perfectly timed kick.

BAM!

Logan grabbed Shaw's foot when it landed on his body, making them both fly away from the runway, slamming into the bus Peter was on.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

The plane's landing gear deployed, slamming into the runway with immense speed.

'How inconvenient..', Peter grumbled to himself as he used the momentum of the crumpled bus to summersault into the darkness, latching onto the ground with only the edge of his claws - his armour blending perfectly into his environment.

'What's that?', his pupils narrowed, looking at a torn brown pouch that'd fallen from Shaw's waist, revealing three highly complicated-looking syringes. 'Shaw came prepared, eh? It would be a shame if someone took all the rewards.'

He left it there, scattered on the grass for now, not believing it was worth enough to forgo his element of surprise.

"Why didn't you dodge the kick?", Shaw spat, standing up, his suit ruined, while flicking away a clod of dirt from his shoulder. He looked down at a Logan that lay spread-eagled, his stomach quickly stitching itself back together.

"That was always the plan, bub", Logan smirked, slowly getting up, his claws gleaming.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

The plane ate up more distance at the runway, drawing closer and closer to them.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Meanwhile, faint explosions from outside spoke to the fact that Shaw's lackeys were keeping the military at bay. His eyes narrowed before widening in realisation. Logan had willingly taken the kick in an attempt to draw him away from the runway.

"You bastard!", Shaw snarled turning toward the runway, evidently after the Kinetic energy generated by the plane. Even though he'd have to withstand a part of it, the sheer amount of kinetic energy he would receive and his intermediate healing factor would take care of it.

"Bobby NOW!"

SHIIIZZZ

A wall of incredibly hard ice appeared from seemingly nowhere before a confused Shaw.

"Another rat!", he spat before smashing through it with a punch.

SHIIIZZZ

BAM!

Another punch broke the second wall but the invisible Bobby was nowhere near done.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

The plane was merely a few seconds away from crossing them.

SHIIZZZ

BAM!

SHIIZZZ

BAM!

SHIZZZ

"WAGNER! TELEPORT ME TO THE RUNWAY", Shaw yelled his seemingly never-ending stores of Kinetic energy slowly beginning to deplete.

Silence.

'Wagner? Teleport? Most probably mutant. Is it Kurt Wagner?', Peter thought in confusion as he watched the X-men slowly outwit one of the prominent members of the Inner Circle of the Hellfire. 'But why on earth is he calling out for Nightcrawler? Is he on Shaw's side in this universe?'

More silence - Kurt Wagner seemed to ignore Shaw.

"You really got to check who you let into that uppity gathering of yours, bub", Logan chuckled watching Shaw continue to struggle to get to the runway.

BAM!

SHIZZ

BAM!

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

"NOOO! AAAARGHH!!! YOU PESTS!", Shaw yelled as he watched the plane pass by, slowing down as it reached the end of the runway.

He looked around for the source of the ice but saw nothing once again.

"Show yourself! Coward!", he roared, raising his leg, using a large part of his kinetic energy to reinforce it and slam it into the grass.

BOOOM!

The earth itself seemed to rise, making Peter retreat a few meters as the cracks enveloped an impressive circumference, throwing Wolverine out of balance - one that he quickly regained.

"Fuck!", Kitty swore as she too lost balance but didn't posses Logan's skill, unintentionally revealing both Bobby and herself who both promptly fell to the ground.

"Language, Kitty", Bobby chided Pryde, patting his suit before attempting to get up, only to see Shaw careening toward him with an insane grin of sadistic joy, his fist riled all the way back.

"BOBBY!", Logan yelled and attempted to charge forward, but he was nowhere close enough to do anything useful. Fear filled his eyes as the thought of a kid dying due to his incompetence echoed in his mind. He drew all the strength he could muster and leaped forward still coming short.

But just then, something akin to miracle happened.

{Not so fast, Shaw...}, a growl echoed from the darkness as Logan saw a reddish-brown blur flash by.

"Oh, Fuc-", Bobby began but stopped when Shaw seemingly froze mid-punch, his body lightly trembling.

"Urk!", Shaw grunted as veins popped on his forehead, before slowly turning around to find a gigantic, 9-foot tall, draconic armoured figure with all five of its long, deadly claws lightly sinking into his back, pumping copious amounts of poison into him.

"Wha-"

{Shhhhhh.....}, the reptile cut off his exclamation of surprise with a low growl. {You were loud enough so far. Die quietly.}
