Chapter 093 Secret

Chapter 093

Tony's request to let him do research on his powers was not something expected. But when Alex thought more about it, the motive behind the request made sense.

After all, as the events in the marvel universe progressed, Tony became more and more obsessed with protecting earth and the feeling that something was going to destroy earth was always in his mind.

Originally, all this would begin after the events in the first Avengers movie. But thanks to this universe having more villains, maybe Tony becoming more anxious had started early.

'It's not a bad thing. But I feel bad for him.'

Alex thought, thinking of the nightmares Tony would have to deal with throughout his life.

For now, he decided to focus more on the Avengers plot. The original plot was not something he wanted to change too much because it paved the path for future MCU events and Tony's whole development started from here.

Moreover, the movie was necessary for the world to know of the threats that they have never even thought of.

There were only two things he wanted to change.

One thing he wanted to change was Coulson's death but it was necessary to make the Avengers fight together, and in the end, Coulson was resurrected in Agents of shield.

And the second was Hulk going berserk and destroying parts of the Helicarrier. Of course, it was just Loki's ploy but Alex felt like it was a necessary development.

Alex wanted to get Bruce to accept the Hulk part of himself early in this universe. Although him destroying the Helicarrier was a big deal in the first movie, what Hulk did in the second one was way bigger.

He had killed a lot of civilians, making the public direct their wrath towards the Avengers.

He wanted to stop that.

After all, Alex had read the comics in his previous life and in it, the best way for Bruce to go ahead was to accept the Hulk part of him.

Unfortunately, this had happened a lot later in the MCU.

That's why, when he noticed Bruce was free and was just getting some data out of the scepter, he knew it was the only chance.

Tony was out on a call with Pepper and Steve had gone to investigate after Tony had revealed that he was hacking into Shield and how the whole thing about Shield wanting Tesseract as a clear energy sounded funny.

Natasha was out, probably to get information about Clint from Loki, and he hadn't even noticed when she had left. Typical spy stuff.

So, finally alone, he walked up to him and opened his mouth.

"Dr. Banner, can I talk to you?"

"Ah, yes. We haven't gotten time to talk much. Again thanks for what happened in Harlem."

He replied with a kind smile but behind it, he was asking what purpose Alex had to talk to him.

"It's fine. I just wanted to ask you about–"

"Hulk?"

He cut him off and asked. Alex nodded his head, wondering how he should bring it up.

"What interests you about him? Are you also trying to research the big, green guy like Tony?" He asked. "You don't look like the nerdy type."

"My intentions are completely different. I think I might have a way for Hulk and you to work better?"

His expression changed when Alex mentioned that. For a moment, he winced but soon looked at Alex like he was joking.

"A way to heal me?"

"If there was a way, you would have already found it out."

"Then?"

Alex sighed, scratching the back of his head. A habit of his. He would often do it when he didn't know how to explain something. Especially in a way which won't bring out Hulk.

"I think you should find an equilibrium with Hulk."

Bruce chuckled at his suggestion.

"What? Should I invite him to a tea party and try to talk things out with him? Let's be best buddies and stuff like that?"

"No, but you do know Hulk had a brain of his own." Alex shook his head. "It may not be like yours but he can understand if you try. He might really listen. I don't think fighting with him or trying to find a cure is a solution."

"Why do you think that will work anyway? There's no way Hulk will listen to me. He's always angry."

"So are you."

Bruce was surprised at that. Everyone had been asking about his secret to remain calm but Alex had found out about it.

Until now, he had just thought of him as a kid. A special one. But a kid nonetheless. But his calm nature and way of talking was definitely not like one.

"How do you know?" Bruce asked.

"I'm good at finding secrets. Anyway, Dr. Banner, try to give my idea a little thought. Although not similar, I can relate to you thanks to my wolf."

The last line was a lie but not wholly. After getting his wolf, Alex had learned that it wasn't a species which could be tamed easily.

But because his wolf was from the system, it was subservient from the start.

"We can talk about it later, Doc."

Alex said as he saw Tony returning from outside. He quickly went to a corner and sat down as Bruce and Tony started discussing stuff that he was barely able to understand.

It was not like he didn't understand science but the stuff they were discussing was too high level for him.

'Maybe I should get a tour of the Helicarrier too.'

He thought and pondered.

After that, things were pretty normal for a long time. Bruce and Tony were talking about the various possibilities the scepter possessed and how fascinating the data it was giving.

Alex wondered what they would think if they knew it was one of the most powerful things in the universe.

Some time later, Fury returned when Tony and Bruce had mostly finished their work.

'It's finally picking up pace.'
