Robbing the robes and pendant

Lucas was shocked when he saw the person below him. But within a split second, he changed it back to the normal indifferent one he had previously and looked at the lady.

The woman looked at Lucas hatefully as he snatched her pendant and made her change back to her original appearance.

She was about to get violent but Lucas's indifferent gaze scared her slightly. While at the same time, his handsome face made her not want to taint him.

She had a debate with herself internally whether to beat Lucas up, kill him, or wait and see what he was about to do to her. But her internal debate stopped immediately as she realized something.

This guy sitting above her didn't recognize her. She could make it out from his face that he definitely didn't know who she was. If he did, he must've had some sort of reaction on his face, but he didn't.

The woman thus decided to first wait and see what the guy was going to do to her and then take action accordingly.

Lucas knew that he had to handle the situation properly because if he failed in doing so, he was one hundred percent certain that he would meet that goddess again.

Lucas looked at the lady below him and said indifferently, "you're awake?"

The beautiful lady knitted her brows as she heard his question. What sort of question was that? Wasn't it obvious?

She looked at him and said hatefully, "yes."

Lucas nodded and asked, "where was the caravan going? To Falmuth or Blumund?"

The lady, instead of answering him, said, "why would–"

Lucas bent down and brought his face dangerously close to her's and said with a murderous glint in his eyes, "speak when asked to."

The lady felt a chill down her spine as Lucas said that and was scared out of her wits.

'Wait, wait, wait. Why am I getting scared? I can kill him with a snap of my finger if I want to,' the lady thought to herself and calmed down a bit.

Lucas pulled back and said, "I'll ask again, where was the caravan heading?"

The lady, for some reason, decided to answer truthfully and said, "to Blumund and from there to the Sorcerer's Dynasty Sarion."

She dropped a subtle hint of the Elven Kingdom, hoping Lucas would realize who she was and get scared.

Lucas knew full well what she was thinking of.

But did he care?

Absolutely not.

If he died, he died. He won't falter or show that he was scared of her. The situation at present was as such and it needed him to be courageous. He couldn't show any weakness to the woman in front.

But if there ever was a situation where it was needed for him to be scared and would benefit him, he would do it without hesitation.

What self-respect? What pride? All that mattered is if he could keep his life intact and spend it happily with his mother and sister or not. All that mattered was whether he could provide everything to his mother and sister or not and all that mattered was whether he could do and get whatever he wanted or not.

The last thing was a selfish thing on Lucas's side. He wanted to be the strongest and the richest person. In his past life, he was weak and couldn't protect his loved ones and so poor that he couldn't afford even a single meal a day.

Lucas nodded his head hearing the lady's answer and got off her body. He took her robes in his hand and walked towards the caravan. He couldn't use his skills in front of her or things would be bad.

The lady was dumbfounded as she saw such a reaction from Lucas. That's it? This guy just wanted to get a pendant from her, her robes and answer to one question? What the hell was wrong with him?

He was literally on top of a beauty, who definitely seemed defenseless and vulnerable and yet he didn't make even a single move on her? What was wrong with him?

And also…

He left her lying on the ground and didn't even help her get up!?

The lady got up immediately and yelled at Lucas, "hey! You! Where are you going!?"

Lucas treated her words as air and walked towards the caravan in a leisurely pace. He knew how her behaviour was and it was best to ignore her.

The lady closed in on Lucas and stopped in front of him to block his path. "You aren't going anywhere."

Lucas stopped right in front of her. She was the same height as him and looking her in the eyes with a serious gaze, he immediately took his sword out and pointed the tip at her neck.

"Block my path once again and this sword won't stop before piercing your neck." Lucas said in an indifferent tone.

The lady was surprised once again. She didn't think that he would threaten her again. She thought that maybe he would get swayed by her cute behaviour and her way of talking and walking towards him. She thought that she did a good job of acting like a teenage girl and blocking his path.

The lady sighed and said, "fine, I won't. But give me my pendant and robes back. I can't walk around without them, you know."

Lucas put his sword back and said, "that's your problem. Figure it out yourself. I need them to infiltrate the caravan."

He walked past her after saying so.

Once again, the lady was stupefied by Lucas's words.

He knocked her out, brought her here and took her robes out and pendant just because he could infiltrate the caravan!? What stupidity was this!? What madness!? Was he okay in the head?

She ran behind him again and said, "hey! Hey! If you just want to get into the caravan, I can do it for you. You don't need to do this. Please give me my robe and pendant back!"

Lucas stopped in his tracks and turned back to look at her.

The lady halted as well and looked him in his eyes.

Lucas looked back in her eyes with dead seriousness and said, "how long are you going to act like a teenage girl, Elmesia?"

"Huh!?"
