She won't be accepted there

They settled back to their seats but no one was in the mood to continue eating anymore.

"Xiao Xiu will be living with me starting from now on."

Xia Zhong scowled, "Is this because of what just happened? It was indeed your Auntie's fault but Xiao Xiu is well taken care of here. Besides the two of you are still below 18, it isn't good living on your own."

"We've decided to stay in the school dorms." Jiang Yue explained.

The man's scowl deepened, "You're going back to school? Were you accepted by the school already? Do you need me to settle it for you?"

"Dad, you know that won't be easy. Not anyone can just enter Shuhui Middle School. Not only do they look at the student's background but also at their grades and past achievements. I don't think... Cousin will be accepted there." Xia Mingzhou immediately added when she heard her father's words.

Her Father could indeed get Jiang Yue to enter the school but that is only if Jiang Yue was a normal student. Given her past, it's doubtful she'll be accepted by the school.

Xia Zhong hesitated but still nodded in the end.

"Do you want me to take you to the school dorm?" Xia Mingyu asked when he noticed it was already almost 9 pm. It wouldn't be safe for the two girls to take a taxi at this hour.

Jiang Yue shook her head, "Thank you but we came with someone. We'll be leaving already."

She bid her goodbye, leaving as though she didn't just ruin the family's dinner.

After the girl left, an awkward silence filled the dining room.

"Grandpa, you should eat more." Xia Mingzhou said sweetly and offered one of the plates of food on the table, trying to lighten the heavy atmosphere.

The old man did not accept it but instead asked his son, "She mention Jiang... Xiao Xiu's bruises, you did not know about this matter?"

Hearing her grandfather ask about the matter made Xia Mingzhou looked down at her plate, her eyes filled with spite.

Xia Zhong shook his head, "If I had known about it, I could have done something. Who would dare to raise their hand against her?" He felt guilty just thinking about it.

He had been close with his sister Xia Li before he married Feng Rong. At that time Xia Li was against him marrying Feng Rong because Feng Rong came from a poor family.

That's why Feng Rong always hated the two children because of what happened before.

He felt he failed as an uncle and brother.

"Although they left, you still need to take care of the two." Old Master Xia stated to which Xia Zhong agreed.

Jiang Yue waited for a few minutes in the living room before Jiang Xiu came down with a bag, then a few servants followed behind her carrying a few boxes.

"Let's go."

"Shouldn't we bid our goodbyes first?" Jiang Xiu asked and gestured towards the dining room.

"I already did. Besides you can visit anytime." Jiang Xiu nodded and both of them got out.

They put the things inside the car in the back seat.

"Is that all?" Luo Zhelan asked.

He couldn't help but raise his eyebrow when he saw the girl exuding a cold and lightly threatening aura.

'What happened there?'

Although he was curious, he kept quiet about it.

"Are we going straight to the dorms Sister? I don't think they'll let you go in since you're still not a student."

Hearing Jiang Xiu's words, Luo Zhelan suggested, "Why don't you stay at another place for now? I have an unused condominium here, you can move out anytime you want."

Jiang Xiu who was already used to the man's generosity didn't hesitate to accept it, "Then thank you, Young Master Luo! Don't worry we'll move out tomorrow."

Luo Zhelan laughed lightly, "It's fine, I could even give the con—" Before he could finish his words he felt a piercing stare, he immediately changed his words, "I'll give the key once we get there."

He drove the car, then they arrived at Qingdu's City luxurious complex building, Grand Rosso.

A man ushered them, seeing the gold card in Luo Zhelan's hand made him more respectful towards the three people.

They entered the elevator and stopped at the highest floor, it was the penthouse.

Luo Zhelan gave the gold card to Jiang Yue who also gave it to her sister.

Jiang Xiu couldn't help but gawk at the man when she realize Luo Zhelan did not just hesitate to let them stay at his Penthouse in Grand Rosso.

It was an enormous place with each piece of furniture screaming the word 'extravagance'.

What Jiang Xiu didn't know was that Luo Zhelan was willing to give more than that if only a certain someone did not stop him.
