Found Out

Lillica and Lorraina materialized in the room shortly after Count Agist's outburst.

"You called, sweetie?" Lillica said sweetly.

"Was this you?" Count Agist pointed angrily at the lipstick mark on his forehead.

"Of course it was, did you think other women would randomly come in and kiss you?"

Count Agist didn't know how to reply, she was technically right, but that also wasn't the point. "Of course not! It just demeans my position if others see me that way!"

"Hmm... so you're okay if we keep it private?" Lillica said teasingly as she handed Count Agist a handkerchief.

"You know what I mean woman!" Count Agist said as he wiped the lipstick off of his forehead, leaving a small red irritation on his forehead.

"No, do tell..." Lillica bent forward, placed her elbows on the dresser and held up her head while gazing at Count Agist, her tail playfully flicking back and forth.

Count Agist glared at her, he really didn't know how to handle this woman. Count Agist just realized that he stopped seeing her a demon and saw her as a woman first. "Whatever! I need to go, I need to declare Morgan as the interim lord to the villagers before the King or Duke can send someone. You two... just... don't kill anyone."

"Aww, but we get lonely, don't we Lorraina?"

"Well, he only said we couldn't kill anyone, I think if we feed on enough knights and servants we'll get full without even hurting them!"

"I can't leave you two alone... can I..."

"Relax sweetie, we both just ate so we're fine for a day as long as we don't use too much magic." then Lillica patted him gently on his chest.

"But sis! I want to go with him instead of being stuck in this manor!"

"Don't worry, I can think of several games we can play while he's gone."

Count Agist stopped trying to even control them and instead started putting on his armor, then he asked, "Lillica, can I ask what you did to Morgan? He seems... different now."

"Jealous sweetie?" Lillica said teasingly.

"N-No! I just..." Count Agist was interrupted by Lillica placing her finger on his lips.

"Would you think less of me if I told you I had to have sex with him to drain his magic?"

Count Agist looked at Lillica's face and thought he caught a glimpse of guilt that was very unusual for Lillica, or at least he never believed she felt guilty about her actions ever.

"No... I did say you can do whatever is necessary to help him and you did. Thank you."

Lillica smiled warmly at Count Agist and squeezed his arm causing Count Agist to blush.

"I must go now!", said Count Agist as he hurriedly grabbed Last Stand, then just waved goodbye and left them in his bedroom. He ran down to his knights and 60 of them left for the village including Morgan and Dion. Thomas and Nicholas stayed behind to watch the estate with the remainder of the knights.

Lillica watched Count Agist leave then said to Lorraina "For our first game, let's play 'Find the Messenger'!" then Lillica walked over to Count Agist's desk and wrote a message on parchment:

"King Octavian Feldland,

We have discovered treachery from Lord Hawthorne that he was manipulating the commoners to refuse to pay taxes and almost incited a riot among the commoners. I have staged his death to look like a murder from one of his maids so we can quickly replace him without much fuss from the commoners. They are sheep that will follow their leader after all.

Count Agist"

Lillica showed the letter to Lorraina, after reading it, Lorraina looked at her confused. "I don't get it, what is this for?"

"I want the King to start to feel threatened by Count Agist's ambition, today it is just a lord's land he takes, tomorrow it could be another lord, a baron, a marquis, a count, or even a duke."

"I still don't get it, but are you sure that's what Agi wants?"

"It doesn't matter, it's what he needs as do we."

"Ok sis, so... what do you want me to do?"

Lillica held up Count Agist's seal in her hand on display for Lorraina, then she folded up the letter, dripped wax on the flap and sealed it with Count Agist's seal. "There, now it is official. Can you go find the messenger that is on his way to the capitol and swap letters with him?"

"Oh! So that's what you meant by 'Find the Messenger'! Um... if I get hungry can I..."

"That's fine, just not the messenger, we need him to deliver this letter to the King."

"Thanks sis! I'll take care of it then!"

"Well well well... what have we here?"

Lillica and Lorraina whirled around to see a red-skinned demon materialize a few meters from them. He was tall, muscular, had a chiseled face and instead of hair he had 2 slightly curved horns sticking out of his head. His tail was fairly thick and the tip appeared to be slightly sharp. His only article of clothing was a brown pair of pants with a rope tying them up and a pair of stone sandals.

Humans have called these red-skinned demons, devils, fire demons, rage demons, and many other things, but these are the most commonly feared demons as they feed off of physical pain and suffering. The longer their victim suffers, the more they can feed off of them.

"What do you want? Did one of the Generals send you?"

"I was indeed sent, but merely to investigate an old familiar presence that was thought to be long deceased. Now could you tell me where is Simon? If you are who I think you are you should have no reason to shelter him."

"Shelter him? That twit? My father bound his soul to an ax and now a human wields him without any knowledge of the criminal. You probably felt it when I woke him back up." Lillica said uncaringly

"Ahhh HAHAHA! That's hilarious! I'll let the elders know then and they can decide if they want to do anything further. Personally, I'd rather see him bound to a washboard or latrine."

"He'd probably enjoy that…" Lillica said softly.

Lillica and Lorraina relaxed slightly since this red demon didn't appear to be looking for them.

"Pardon my lack of manners, my name is Kayne." The red demon bowed slightly with one arm folded across his chest.

"Honestly, we'd rather not get friendly so if there is nothing else you need, please excuse yourself."

"Very well, I shall excuse myself then… Oh, one last thing. Queen Lillith will soon start searching here in the middle realm for you."

Lillica's whole body tensed up, dark purple leathery wings shot out from her back, horns extended from her head, her body mass appeared to increase, her finger nails extended into long thing blades, and her whole body became slightly muscular.

Lillica's wings flapped once as she rushed at Kayne and swiped at his torso with her claws.

Kayne barely managed to dodge. "Hold up! I'm not going to reveal where you are or that I even saw you. I do have one favor to ask in return."

"Speak, I can still kill you if I don't like it." Lillica said angrily as she got in position to dash at Kayne again.

"Your childhood friend, I heard she has a talent for manipulating dreams, right?"

"Maybe…" Lillica said warily, Lorraina considered answering but realized it might just be better to stay behind Lillica and not say a word.

"I haven't had a human in years… can you give one of them a dream of excruciating pain so I can feed off one without killing them?"

"I'm guessing the Queen still forbids anyone from entering the human realm so you want to feed without leaving a single trace, right?" Lillica asked. She wasn't for or against killing humans. Humans and Demons have hunted each other since their realms collided over 1000 years ago. Humans attacked Demons out of fear and Demons attacked Humans for sport.

"I can see why you were ousted my former Queen, well, can you do it?"

Lillica looked at Lorraina and said, "It's up to you, if you can't or do not want to do it, I won't be mad at you love."

"I don't know… I've only ever done pleasurable dreams over long periods of time." Lorraina said calmly.

Kayne said with a smile, "It doesn't need to be long. Pain is much easier than pleasure after all."

Lorraina nodded and said, "Wait for me here, sis has a job for me first and we'll have to wait until night time."

Kayne nodded in agreement, "Queen... ahem… former Queen Lillica can keep me company, I'm sure she would like to know what's been going on in our home since you both left."

Lillica nodded her head at Lorraina, and then Lorraina walked away and faded away with the sealed letter.
