Whatever

Vera was in an excellent mood when she packed to go to the conference and as she sat around reading a book on the plane. Even the long flight with the kid kicking her seat on and off couldn't bring her down. 

She had a couple of dinner functions to attend while she was there but aside from that she was free when she wasn't at the convention. She had plans to go sightseeing and take lots of pictures. She also needed to find Casey a souvenir hoodie. 

Being around people in her field and not having to worry about how her boyfriend was doing as much as before was nice. She couldn't remember the last time she went to a restaurant other than Heron's.

Vera enjoyed the convention but she also had fun checking a few places out such as the botanical gardens and the World of Coca-Cola. That was where she got Casey his hoodie.
