84. Future Shock part 4

Zachlor16: Ok guys we are now back in the present. Let's rock!

The L-Crew sat in silence as Lyle finished his tale. The tale of violence, destruction and death weighed heavily on their minds and the thought of their future selves struggling to defeat Vector for twenty years also weighed heavily.

"This is a lot to take in." Lori said after a few seconds of silence. "Vector going out and killing everyone just because he sees them as a disease is just really heavy. And just how brutal he is in combat adds another valuable to it."

"Not to mention killed everyone we loved, while others went into hiding." Bobby added.

"Indeed." Soothsayer said. "This is quite the troubling situation."

"Which is why you traveled back to kill Vector while he's at low power." Lisa said.

"Well that's the plan." Lyle said. "Though I don't fully understand why."

"Hmm, you said that Vector learns from each fight, right?" Mr. Cuddles asked.

"Yeah." Lyle replied.

"And who did he fight first after his mall attack?" Mr. Cuddles asked.

"Xander, was the first one he fought." Lyle said. "And from there he attacked the military base."

"So Vector fought Xander first?" Lynn asked.

"Yeah." Lyle said. "I'm pretty sure I told you guys this."

"Exactly." Mr. Cuddles said. "He fought Xander first. A skilled fighter which means by the time you guys showed up, Vector had adapted and was able to out fight skilled fighters."

"So that's why future us lost." Luan said. "Because Vector fought Xander he was able to fight anyone and counter their attacks."

"So if he fights us first." Ronnie Anne started. "We might stand a chance then."

"Exactly. And since Vector will be attacking the mall, we're gonna be there, so we can take him down." Lori said.

"When is Vector gonna attack Lyle?" Sam asked.

"Tomorrow." Lyle answered. Everyone's jaws drop and they stare at him. "What?"

"We only have til tomorrow?" Lola asked.

"Yeah." Lyle replied.

"Let me get this straight, we only have one day to get ready?" Lola said. "That about right?" Lyle nodded before Lola suddenly exploded into rage. "Why the hell did you go back to the day before Vector shows? What bonehead does that?"

"Mr. Cuddles." Lyle answered. "He programmed it." Lola then turns her attention to the bear who was now trying to hide behind Petty.

"Hey that's future Mr. Cuddles' fault, not the present Mr. Cuddles." Mr. Cuddles said.

"Well I don't care!" Lola shouted.

"Well I'm out of here." Mr. Cuddles said before climbing onto Tongri's back. "Tongri get me outta here!" Tongri growls in response and runs off.

"Don't you dare run from me!" Lola screamed after him before giving chase. "I'll put you back in the ground!"

"So Vector attacks tomorrow? I guess we need t start planing." Lori said.

"I'm with you on that dude." Luna said. "Let's get back to practicing. Lanes, go get Lola and keep her from burying Mr. Cuddles."

"On it." Lana said before running to save the teddy bear from her twin.

"Everyone else let's head outside." Lori ordered. Everyone begins to head outside while Lyle stays behind. However he's grabbed by Lincoln and dragged outside. Once outside Lincoln let's go.

"Yo dad I mean Lincoln what gives?" Lyle asked as he stood up. Lincoln doesn't respond and ignited his fists. Suddenly without warning Lincoln flies forward and swings at Lyle who barely avoids the punch. "Hey what's going on? What did I do?" Again Lincoln doesn't respond and shoots a stream of fire at him but Lyle rolls out of the way. Lyle looks to see everyone on the sidelines not making any moves to stop Lincoln's assault. "Hey I know the future sucks but this doesn't seem to be an appropriate reaction. Ain't my fault!" Lincoln then lands in front of him and grabs Lyle by the shirt.

"Get up and defend yourself!" Lincoln ordered before forcing Lyle to his feet and pushing him backwards before shooting fire from his mouth but Lyle jumps out of the way. "You wanna be a hero? Get up and fight back!"

"I don't want to fight you!" Lyle protested.

"That's not an option!" Lincoln shouted back and threw two fireballs at Lyle, but Lyle dodges the fireballs.

"Lyle you have to defend yourself!" Lori told him. "A bad guy isn't just gonna stop because you don't want to fight them."

Lyle sighs in respond since he didn't really had a choice. "You want a fight? Well you got one." Lyle said and shot an energy beam at Lincoln. But Lincoln dodges the attack.

"Too slow." Lincoln said. "Again." Lyle sighs and fires another beam with the same result. "Again." Lyle keeps shooting at Lincoln but Lincoln keeps moving out of the way. "We're gonna keep doing this until you successfully hit me! Now again!"

Lyle shoots another beam at Lincoln, but he dodges again. "Oh come on, I seen turtles fire energy blasts better than that!" Lincoln shouted.

"Maybe you should go easy on him." Ronnie Anne suggested.

Lincoln then turns to her. "Did you go easy on us when you helped us train? No you didn't. Did the Eleven Masters go easy on us when they trained us? No. This is how it needs to be." He turns back to Lyle. "Attack me again."

Lyle then threw two fireballs at Lincoln, but when Lincoln dodges the first fireball, the second fireballs hits him straight in the chest, knocking him down.

"I got him." Lyle said in disbelief. "I finally got him!"

Then Lincoln tackles Lyle and pins him. "Never let your guard down!" Lincoln shouted.

"Noted." Lyle groaned. He then looks Lincoln in the eye. "So am I still fighting you?"

"No." Lincoln said as he stood up allowing Lyle to let out a sigh of relief. "You're fighting Lynn." Lynn's jaw drops as she looks at her brother in shock.

"Um, I really don't want too." Lynn said. However Lincoln gave her a glare that caused Lynn to flinch. "But I guess I will." Lynn and Lincoln switch places and once he's in place, Lori turns to her brother.

"Um, isn't this a little much?" Lori asked. "Lynn can easily pulverize him."

"I know." Lincoln said nonchalantly. "But he needs to learn."

"Has my dad gone insane?" Lyle asked himself.

"Come on Lyle, show me what you got!" Lynn shouted.

"Um, I really don't want to." Lyle said. "Can we just talk about this aunt Lynn?"

"Sorry kid but I kinda gotta do it or your dad is gonna burn my hair off." Lynn says.

"Like aunt Lisa?" Lyle asked.

"I don't want to think about it." Lynn said.

"Just fight already!" Lincoln shouted.

"Fine!" Lynn rolled her eyes and charged towards Lyle. Lyle flies up, and began to throw fireballs around Lynn, creating a ring of fire around Lynn.

"Not a bad trick." Lynn compliments. "But it isn't always enough to contain your opponents."

"Yeah I know. But you're trapped aunt Lynn." Lyle smirked.

"Am I?" Lynn said with a smirk. She crouches down and then leaps right over the flames leaving Lyle speechless. "Never assume. Now let's get serious." She gets into a stance. "Prepare yourself."

Lyle's hands begin to glow with energy and behind charge up. Lynn charges towards Lyle, but Lyle fires at big energy blast towards Lynn, causing her to be pushed back and hits a metal crate.

"Impressive." Lisa said. She looks up at her brother who didn't look impressed at what he just saw. "Elder brother, are you alright?"

"Fine." Lincoln said. "But that was ok, though I think we need a tougher challenge."

"Um, who do you have in mind?" Lyle asked nervously. Lincoln flashed him a smile that caused his blood to run cold.

"Petty." Lincoln said calmly.

"Lincoln are you insane!?" Lori shouted.

"No. Petty get in there!" Lincoln said as Petty ran towards Lyle to face him.

"You gotta be kidding me?" Lyle gulped.

"Sorry Lyle." Petty said before charging towards Lyle.

"Lincoln this is too far!" Luna shouted as she watched Petty slam his fists down but Lyle avoided them. "He's your son for Pete's sake! You need to stop this!" Lincoln doesn't answer and watch as Lyle avoided Petty's swings.

"You said you helped Petty that one creature or were you lying?" Lincoln taunted.

"I did but it was just aerial support!" Lyle argues as he crawls between Petty's legs.

Petty looks down and tried to grab Lyle but misses. "What is up with Lincoln? He's not usually like this." Lori thought.

Petty turns around and is immediately met with a fireball to the face from Lyle. "Hot hot hot!" Petty shouted as he ran towards the creek and stuck his head in the water where steam steam formed afterwards. Petty pulls his head out of the water with a sigh of relief.

"Petty no rest!" Lincoln shouted. "Get him!" Petty is about to run forward but a voice stops him.

"That's enough!" Lori ordered. "Petty you can stop!" Petty let's out a sigh and sat in the dirt. Lori then turns to Lincoln. "And you! What the hell is your problem? At first it seemed like simple training then you start sending Lynn in and then Petty! Lincoln what's wrong?"

"It's none if your damn business!" Lincoln shouted.

"You can't talk to me like that!" Lori stated. "Now answer the question Lincoln!"

"Or what you're turn me into a human balloon animal!?" Lincoln glared.

"No of course not!" Lori retorted. "You just aren't acting yourself. I mean if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were Irate!" Lincoln eyes widen and he let's out a growl. Lori flinched as she saw the anger in his eyes.

"Don't you dare compare me to Irate!" Lincoln growled. "I am nothing like him! I'm trying to make sure we can be ready for Vector!"

"And that means putting Lyle through the paces?" Lori argued.

"Well the attack is tomorrow. So I'm giving him his training." Lincoln explained. "He needs to learn to fight villains on his own!" Lincoln argued back.

"But this isn't the way!" Lori argued. "And this sure as hell isn't how we operate Lincoln! We work as a team!"

"Well Lyle is on his own out here!" Lincoln argued back. "He came alone, so he needs this!"

"How can you say that?!" Ronnie Anne shouted.

"I'm pointing out the facts!" Lincoln argued.

"Well here's a fact! You're acting like a jerk!" Ronnie Anne shouted.

"You know what? Forget this!" Lincoln shouted. "I'm going home!" He goes full flame and flies off.

"Oh sure run away! That's a good answer Lame-o!" Ronnie Anne shouted back.

"Just give him some time to cool off Nei-Nei." Bobby said.

"Yeah Ronnie Anne." Lori agreed. "He's just been short tempered lately. But today he seems to have exploded."

"Perhaps it's something different." Soothsayer said as he walked up. "His rage may not be for the reason you think it is."

"You don't think it's me that's causing Lincoln to be really angry?" Lyle asked.

"Hard to say." Soothsayer admitted as he stroked his beard. "But I can assure that it will pass. In fact I believe that someone is handling right now."

Lincoln is in his room pacing and mumbling angrily to himself about what his sisters and Ronnie Anne said to him. "Lori's comparing me to Irate? I'm nothing like that guy. I'm preparing Lyle for his battle tomorrow and yet this is the thanks I get!" Lincoln growled.

"They have a point, Lincoln." A voice said. Lincoln turned around and sees his guide, the wolf.

"Wolf." Lincoln gasps. "I didn't sense your arrival."

"You seemed preoccupied." Wolf said. He lies down by Lincoln's bed and motioned for Lincoln to sit which he does. "Tell me more on what happened."

Lincoln sighed and began to explain. "My sisters and friends were training at the warehouse when we encounter the Terror Crew. But then this kid named Lyle shows up with a time machine and he says he's from the future and he's my son and Ronnie Anne is my wife in the future." Lincoln explained. "Lyle even told us that this monster named Vector is going to attack the mall and then make everyone's lives a living hell!"

"I see and you started training yes?" Wolf asked.

"Yes, I trained him, along with Lynn and Petty. But everyone says I'm being a jerk, and this is not right." Lincoln said.

"I believe you are wrong." Wolf says.

"Wrong?!" Lincoln exclaimed. "How am I wrong?"

"I understand your fear of Vector, however you can't train someone and have them be ready in a day." Wolf says. "You must have patience Lincoln. You can't hope that someone will be ready within a day. However is there something more that's bugging you? Perhaps your son?"

"I don't have a problem with my son!" Lincoln snapped back.

"I know that you're lying Lincoln." Wolf said.

"I mean yeah it's weird and kinda uncomfortable knowing I have a son in the future that's here in the present." Lincoln rambles. "But if I'm being honest, I was only be harsh because I don't know if I can live with myself if he doesn't go home to future me. I don't think I could handle the memory of my son being killed."

"I understand Lincoln. You are scared to see your future son die. That's why you're hard on your son." Wolf said.

"I guess I felt like tough love would help me not care as much." Lincoln said. "But tough love is still love I guess. Maybe everyone was right. Maybe I was a little harsh but I still don't think I was in the wrong."

"Whatever you think is right Lincoln." Wolf said.

"But I feel like there's a big lesson you're trying to teach me." Lincoln says.

"Yes." Wolf says. "Don't let your emotions get in your way Lincoln. While you see something in one way, others see it as another. Don't be something you're not. Be you." Wolf then disappears.

Lincoln began to think about what wolf said and he sighed. "He's right. I need to Lyle in another way." Lincoln said.

He looks at a picture of him and his sisters and sighs. "And I need to make it up to them. Probably best to give them space for now."

The team minus Lincoln are back in the warehouse and they're deciding what to do with Lyle. "Now what do we do with Lyle?" Lori asked. "He can't stay in the base."

"We can bring him home with us." Leni suggested.

"Leni we can't bring Lyle back home, what are we going to tell mom and dad." Lori explained. "Hi mom, meet your grandson from a crappy future."

"Oh yeah." Leni said.

"Wait why can't he stay here with us?" Mr. Cuddles asked with Lori giving him a are you serious look. "Fair enough."

"Well he can't stay with us." Bobby said. "We'd be in the same boat as you guys."

"Well he needs to stay somewhere!" Ronnie Anne shouted shocking everyone. "He can't stay here or with us. He sure as hell can't stay with Sam. Ashley wouldn't know him or worse Replicate could see him and suspect something. What's next?

"He can stay with me!" Clyde said and everyone looked at Clyde. "Lyle can stay with me."

"But what about your dads?" Sam asked.

"I'll tell them he's a friend from school." Clyde said. "They'll never know he's from the future."

"Well that's one problem solved." Lori said.

"But now there's another problem." Luna said. "Or should I say two. One is Vector. The other is Lincoln. One we can fix. The other is not as easy to deal with."

"That is correct." Soothsayer said. "Lincoln's trust can be fixed, but Vector will be your greatest challenge yet."

"We all remembered the last time Lincoln's trust was broken." Lori pointed out.

"Yeah, that was the start of Irate." Luan said with a shudder. "By the way who do guys think would win between adult Irate and Vector?"

"Vector." Everyone say in unison.

"Huh, I would have guess adult Irate." said Luan.

"Ok but do we have a plan for tomorrow?" Lana asked. "According to Lyle, Vector attacked the mall tomorrow."

"Lana's right." Lisa said. "We need to form a plan." She turns to Lyle. "Did adult Lincoln ever tell you what time Vector attacked?"

"My dad said it was sometime in the afternoon." Lyle replied.

"So we go in the morning and we wait for Vector to show up." Lori says.

"Yay!" Leni cheered. "We're going to the mall!" However she received glares from everyone in the room. "Right, it's for stopping Vector. Not for fun."

"Vector won't know what hit him." Lynn said.

"We'll be the first and last thing he sees." Lana said.

"Ok but how do we sneak Petty and Tongri into the mall?' Lucy asked. "They don't necessarily blend in."

"We can't fool people to think Tongri is a seeing eye dog." Lana pointed out.

"How about we place the two in a crate in the loading docks?" Lynn suggested.

"That could actually work." Sam says. "Soothsayer can pretend to be dropping off a crate and when Vector arrives, one of us and go get them."

"Ok but how do we get them there?" Bobby asked. "I don't think the L-Monster can pass as a semi."

"Don't worry." Mr. Cuddles assures them. "I have an idea."

A truck is driving down the streets, and then the trucker hits the brakes hard. "What the heck?" He asked.

He looks out to see a dog lying on the ground dead. The trucker immediately gets out and runs to it's side. Once he's out, Mr. Cuddles, Cliff, Walt, Geo, Hops and Fangs peek out from behind the truck.

"Man, Charles has mastered playing dead." Fangs comments.

"Yeah he really gets into it." Cliff says. "Now everyone get in." They all run to the open door and they climb in with Mr. Cuddles carrying Geo. Meanwhile on the ground, the trucker was still cradling the 'dead' dog.

"Poor little pup!" The trucker cried. Charles opens one eye and sees Mr. Cuddles motioning for him to stop playing dead. Charles nods and proceeds to lick the trucker's face and runs to the truck.

"Good job man you brought me back to life!" Charles called before jumping into the truck and starting it up. Cliff hits the gas and they drove the truck away leaving the trucker dumbstruck.

"Did that dog just rob me?" He asked. Inside the truck, Mr. Cuddles and the pets were celebrating.

"Now that's how you steal a truck!" Hops said. "Hey Geo what was he hauling?" Geo looks into the back through the little window and gasps.

"Cheese nibbles!" Geo cheered. "There's dozens of boxes back here!"

"Not only do we have a truck, but I robbed a truck full of my favourite snacks!" Mr. Cuddles smiled.

"Shame it wasn't fish." Cliff sighed.

"Oh well." Charles said. "Let's get this truck home."

"We really gotta stop stealing stuff." Walt says.

The truck arrives back at the warehouse as Mr. Cuddles and the pets exit the truck. "We're back!" Mr. Cuddles shouted.

"You guys stole a truck." Lori stated while pinching her forehead. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Is it a bad time to say that the back has dozens of boxes of cheese nibbles?" Charles asked.

"We'll let it slide." Lynn said.

"You better not eat them all." said Ronnie Anne.

"I'd be more worried about Petty eating them all." Sam said.

"Good point." Ronnie Anne said.

"Now that's settle. We should get some rest for tomorrow." Lori said.

"Right." Everyone said in unison.

When the Loud girls got home they all split up and headed to their own rooms. As Lori headed to the room she shared with Leni, she cast a glance at her brother's room. With a sigh she walked to the door. She was about to barge in but stopped herself because she knew that there was a chance Lincoln was still angry. With a sigh she proceeded to knock on the door. "Lincoln?" She says after she knocks. "Are you in there?" No answer. "Linc I just wanted to say sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you and just have dealt with it a different way." Still no answer. Lori sighs. "Just wanted to let you know that we're heading to the mall tomorrow morning to wait for Vector. So hopefully we'll see you then or you can meet us there. Ok." Still no answer and Lori sighs. "I guess I should've expected that. I love you Lincoln. Don't you ever forget that." She then walks off. On the other side of the door, Lincoln is sitting on the floor leaning against the door. Lincoln sighs and holds his hand up before slowly closing it into a fist.

"And Lyle this is my room." Clyde said as he led Lyle through his house. His parents had bought the story that Lyle was a friend from school and didn't question it.

"Are you sure your dads aren't gonna want to call my parents?" Lyle asked. "Because I don't think that will go over well."

"Don't worry." Clyde assured him. "If my dads want to call your parents, I'll just give them the number to the phone I gave Soothsayer." Lyle nods and sits on Clyde's bed. Clyde places his stuff on the ground and turns to Lyle. "In your story you said I have a bad back. What happened?"

"Well it happened about six or seven years after the attack. You were doing a supply run with my dad and aunt Lana, at the old Hi N Buy in Great Lakes City. That's when Gorron, Torron, and Viron attacked you three, both my dad and aunt Lana put up a fight against the three. You managed to blast down Torron and Gorron." Lyle explained. "But you were caught off guard by Viron and he grabbed you and broke your back with his knee."

"Wait, Viron breaks my back?!" Clyde exclaimed.

"You recovered, but not fully hence the bad back." Lyle said.

"Damn." Clyde said. "At least I was able to help defeat two of them with what I believe is a powerful blaster?"

"Pretty much." Lyle said with a shrug. "Dad killed Viron afterwards but that didn't change the fact you got hurt. After that you two had a lot of arguments. Mainly surrounding you wanting to help with the fighting and dad not wanting you to do it. But in reality he found one of your suit designs and gave it to aunt Lisa and Mr. Cuddles who then built it so you could help in the final fight against Vector." He looks down and sees so paper with designs on them. "The designs almost looked like these." He then realized something. "You've been designing suits since the beginning."

"Yeah when I discovered that your dad and aunts were the L-Crew I started to work on some suits. But I never got a chance to show them to the rest of the team." Clyde said. "I want to show them that I'm more than the guy at the computer."

"Wow." Lyle said as he picked up one of the designs. "These are so cool. But why haven't you shown them yet?"

"Well you see I'm not really a fighter." Clyde said. "And let's face it. I ain't no hero."

"How do you know?" Lyle asked. "How do you know that you ain't a hero if you haven't tried. I mean you said that you haven't even shown the L-Crew your designs yet."

"They're probably say no it's too dangerous." Clyde responded.

"But you don't know that." Lyle pointed out. "You won't know until you try." Clyde stares at Lyle before looking down at his designs.

Ronnie Anne is in her room, pacing back and forth, luckily for her Carlota is at the movies with some friends. "Man I just Lyle is ok at Clyde's house." Ronnie Anne said to herself. "What if his dads ask questions? What is he allergic to?"

"Who's allergic?" Ronnie Anne jolted and sees Sid behind her.

"Sid? How did you get here?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"I came through the window." Sid answered. "What's up with you?"

"Oh nothing just the fact that my son from the future is staying with Clyde." Ronnie Anne said. "So it's good."

"You have a son?" Sid asks excitedly. "Is Lincoln the dad? Am I the honorary aunt? Does he have your hair? Does he have Lincoln's hair? Is his name Toby or Rochelle? Wait Rochelle is a girl's name." She then jumps into the air and poses. "This is so amazing!" She then lands on Ronnie Anne's bed.

"Sid you need to calm down." Ronnie Anne said. Then Sergio flies into the room.

"Raw. What's with the shouting?" Sergio asks. "I'm trying to watch my stories!"

"It's nothing Sergio!" Ronnie Anne exclaimed.

"This is a girl meeting only!" Sid replied.

"Raw. Whatever." Sergio said before flying out.

"Damn that bird is annoying." Ronnie Anne said. "But yeah Lincoln and I have a son in the future with two more on the way. Our son is currently in the present because he had warn us about this monster called Vector who's gonna cause mass genocide over the next twenty years. His first attack is tomorrow at the mall and we're gonna be waiting for him."

Sid just stood there with her eyes widened. "Damn. Talk about a world threat." Sid said. "Wait how powerful is this Vector guy?"

"From what I heard, think Thanos and a anime villain combine." Ronnie Anne said.

Sid thinks about it and shudders. "That's messed up." She says. "So you guys are gonna try to destroy him before he gets all unbeatable?"

"That's the idea." Ronnie Anne said. "To tell you the truth I'm nervous about tomorrow. It's my first big battle against a major threat. The Louds have done it before against Jax and Irate. I mean yeah Bobby and I tried to fight Jax but let's be honest, we didn't do much. It was all Replicate. Tomorrow is gonna be the biggest fight of our lives."

"You got nothing to be nervous about. So you barely fought Jax so what. You faced off against the cats that attack us and even those rats in that old building and you lived to see another day. Heck you even heated up the dude version of you." Sid said.

"That's because we were both at the same level." Ronnie Anne stated.

"So what? You're a lot tougher than you were when you fought dude you." Sid told her. "Plus you got the rest of the L-Crew with you. You're gonna be fine."

"You're right Sid. I got my brother, my boyfriend, his sisters, a pink blob monster, a tiger and my son." said Ronnie Anne. "We'll defeat Vector together."

"That's the spirit!" Sid replied. "Hey did your son mentioned me or the other L-Angels?"

"Well Haiku is in hiding and married to Clyde." Ronnie Anne replied.

"Lucky." Sid grumbled. "Did he mention me?"

"No but you're probably also in hiding." Ronnie Anne pointed out. "Now let's have a little chat about entering my room through the window."

At Tetherby Industries, Andrew Tetherby stood in the lab with Isaac Mercer as Stuart added the final touches to Project V.

"Project V is nearly complete sir." Stuart said.

"Perfect. Soon the L-Crew and every single Meta human will be wiped off of this planet." Tetherby said.

"Andrew, I must ask." Mercer said. "What does the V in Project V stand for?" Tetherby looks at Mercer and smiles before looking back at the tank containing Project V.

"Vector." Tetherby answered. "The V stands for Project Vector." The camera then zooms into Vector who then opens his eyes.

Smoke: Hey guys Smoke here. Sorry we have to Stop it right here, but we're saving the fight between the L-Crew and Vector in the next chapter. It's going to be intense and epic. So don't miss it. You got something to say Zach?

Zachlor16: Yeah. So a couple things. 1) This'll be the last chapter of 2019 so there won't be an update til 2020. 2) The Shadow Mistress fic that Smoke was working on was discontinued. Smoke kinda gave up on it. 3) We will be doing Petty vs Rubbor in season three. I mean that's what he was created for so please be patient. So by the time we post this it's no doubt gonna be after Christmas and close to New Years.
