When Lohan woke up, he couldn't help but grumble in frustration. He was still deeply irritated by the events of the previous day, and had barely been able to sleep due to the bruises on his body.

Fortunately, he was feeling much better, and soon got up to tidy up his house, which had been completely vandalized.

The fight against the Hostel had been extremely tiring. Even though the ordinary members were not of a level that could offer him danger, together their level of danger increased considerably.

Thanks to Lohan's agility, he had been able to escape the dangerous damage, but he still hadn't come out unscathed.

Fortunately, this had helped him improve even more. Fighting for hours had helped him get used to his new body and understand the limitations of this world's physical capabilities.

Strength, Speed, Flexibility. All these characteristics functioned in much the same way as in his old world, but there was a considerable exaggeration, since feeling his current strength, he could say with complete certainty that he was at least twice as strong as his old body.

He didn't even like to imagine how strong people like Gun and Goo were. Would they be able to smash through concrete with their fists? Go through walls with their kicks?

It was plausible, but Lohan couldn't help imagining it as an absolute exaggeration, after all, it was all still too unreal for him.

As he tidied up the house, his conversation with Goo from the day before came to mind.

This was a subject he had taken some time to think about. What exactly did "becoming a friend" mean? Did Goo want him as an apprentice?

It was strange that Goo should suddenly come up with his proposal. He vaguely remembered him meeting Logan Lee in the original storyline, but was unable to find anything related to "friendship" in his memories.

Did Goo want him to become a group leader? If so, Lohan could firmly say that he would refuse the offer. The last thing he wanted was to create a group involved in all sorts of sick acts.

As for the chance of him wanting an apprentice? Previously, Lohan would have said no, but after thinking about it for a while, he didn't see it as such a bad thing. If he wanted to take on Olly, he needed to become stronger, and quickly. Goo was the perfect person for this purpose.

Lohan hadn't yet tested how far his copying skills could go, so he thought this could be a perfect opportunity.

If he could copy at least a few of Goo's moves, he could reach a new level in no time.

It was a chance he couldn't pass up.

Ding-Dong!

Stopping to sweep the floor of her house, Lohan raised her head when the doorbell rang, indicating that there was someone at her front door.

"What's that? Are they more Hostel members?" Lohan frowned as his eyes landed on the door that was being blocked by a chair on the doorknob.

He feared Olly Wang's presence for a moment, but soon dismissed the possibility. Even though he had beaten the two Hostel Uncles, he didn't think Olly would find him to take revenge.

Besides, if they were members of the Hostel, they definitely wouldn't ring the bell, so he quickly felt relief run through his body.

But who could it be? Someone from J High? One of his curious neighbors? There were a few possibilities to think about, but he decided to put them aside as he made his way to the door.

In the worst case, he would receive a summons for not paying his rent properly, in the best, he would be involved in a fight to the death.

Between living on the streets and fighting to the death, he would easily choose the fight to the death.

Holding the handle, Lohan took no time in opening the door. He couldn't stand the suspense, so he decided to just do it once.

But, surprisingly, the person responsible for visiting him wasn't even in the top 8 of his list of possible guests.

In fact, it was a face he hadn't expected to see so soon.

"Hey, buddy!"

Goo Kim.

Lohan blinked a few times at the sight of that man standing in front of his door, his mind racing for countless seconds as he seemed confused by his presence there.

"Uh... Hello?" Lohan was clearly confused, and this was easily noticed by Goo, who was scratching his head while smiling. "May I ask why you're here? I'm a bit busy at the moment."

Lohan was sincere in his words. Even though he didn't want to upset Goo, he still wanted to finish organizing his house. Besides, Goo had given him time to think, so it didn't make sense for the man to demand an answer so quickly.

"Okay, okay! I'll be brief." Clearing his throat, Goo turned to Lohan with an amused face. "I'm here to find out your answer to my proposal!"

Unfortunately, Lohan seemed to be wrong.

"..." Lohan remained silent, his eyes blinking slowly as he stared at Goo for a few seconds in complete silence, trying to decipher the man in front of him.

'What the hell is this guy thinking? Is he crazy? It's only been a day!' Lohan sighed as she rubbed her forehead, her eyes returning to Goo to see him looking around while whistling. 'Shit, I need to give him an answer soon. I feel like something bad will happen if I just ignore him.

"All right, all right." Waving to the man, Lohan crossed her arms while leaning her body against the wall.

Faced with that decision, his thoughts immediately went to the chance of empowerment he would have if he could ask Goo Kim for a favor. Even if the man asked him to do something questionable, he was confident that by then he would have evolved enough to at least be able to escape.

It would be bad to have the likes of Goo hunting him down for betraying their friendship, but he could work with that. There were boundaries that Lohan was incapable of crossing, even with a real monster threatening him to do so.

So, weighing up the pros and cons, he finally made up his mind.

"I accept."

Hearing his reply, Goo cracked a huge smile almost immediately, Lohan raising an eyebrow at this.

"I see. Then let's start the test!"

Making Lohan take a step back, the boy frowned when Goo suddenly took a piece of wood from his back.

'Where the hell did he get that from?'

"The test to see if you're good enough to become a 'friend'."
