Living my life in another world!

This is my first novel, hope you like it! The synopsis doesn't have many details of the story, as I didn't know how to make one, nor what exactly to put in them. This synopsis is the one I thought was the best. Why should I stay in a place where everybody disdains me, humiliates me and bullies me? For revenge? To face slap them? The original owner of this body is already dead, why should I give a damn about these nobles and so-called family, I am going to explore this world and live my life to the fullest this time. I was a doctor in my previous life, I am sure I can cure this useless body so I can cultivate and protect myself in this eat-the-weak world, maybe I will build a clinic after. What?! I knew that there was no technology here, but still this parallel world could at least maintain the same herbs and ingredients as my last one, but no, everything is totally different and magical even. No matter, I will learn again. Ding! System activated. Requirements met. Welcome Host. [Quest: Travel to Wingtar region to establish yourself at the innermost part of the forest.] [Reward for getting to Wingtar: 1 aura pill (will allow Host to reach the innermost forest without being attacked) - 1 time use only.] [Reward for reaching innermost forest: ???] "Wait if it is a one time use only how will I get out of there? Anyway, that is for later, I need to find out how to fix this body first so I can cultivate" said Scarlet [That is unnecessary, it is impossible to cultivate in this lifetime with this body, there is nothing anyone can do, you should quickly accept your fate of being a weakling.] "Where the hell is my system that is going to make me OP?! F**k, since that is the case, I need to figure out how not to get killed/sold and what to do now." said an indignant and irritated girl [You will survive using your medical skill, information trade and cooking skill.] "I understand the first two but cooking? Are they my rewards? Because I don't know the medicine of this world, the only information I know of this place is common sense and how can I cook with this primitive tools. It will be good to know those things, seems like you can be a useful system." said Scar [Of course not, there is no such thing as free knowledge and skills, you will have to learn and acquire those yourself, the system will provide you with the materials. You have 13 days to reach your destination, otherwise the system will deem you unfit and end the connection, leaving you on your own.] "How can you be such a useless system, you can't make me cultivate or anything else and you are already rushing to be disabled." complained Scarlet.

Chapter 8

Pov from a cultivator from Laimyra

"Wow, there really is a large golden courtyard here in the middle of the innermost part of the Wingtar region." my companion said what was going on inside the minds of the three of us as we saw a golden structure in the distance.

"Well, who would believe it? When that magical beast that was in town a week ago said that a golden building suddenly emerged in the fourth layer of the Wingtar region, nobody believed it. If we didn't have to go to Kriton world we would never waste our time cheking out whether it existed or not." I said.

"Let's go see what this is all about seeing as we are already here anyway. Since we all dismissed what that magical beast said we didn't ask why someone would erect a building here." my other companion said.

As we slowly approached the courtyard we used our spiritual senses and we were able to sense a human girl sitting close to two magical beasts, one big and a smaller one. But never had we imagined it to be an adult Fenrir and a young Fenrir. We all got shocked by the scene and immediately retreated 100 meters, getting ready to flee or fight if necessary, until we were able to find a portal or get out of there.

But, the Fenrir didn't even move from his position and kept lying while leaning on the tree.

"Didn't you say you would surpress your aura?" we all paled when we heard the girl questioning the Fenrir.

"Why do you think they approached us until here? That was only because I surpressed my presence, so they didn't sense my strength and dismissed me as a normal magical beast. I can't be held responsible for them trying to flee like cowards as soon as they saw me." the Fenrir answered in disdain when mentioning us.

I was surprised that the Fenrir actually answered the girl, and though I didn't appreciate being called a coward I would much rather stay alive.

"He won't attack you guys. Why don't you come closer? It seemed like this was your destination anyway, I am curious to know how you all came to know about this place, after all I still don't get many human customers around here." we still didn't move from our spot even after hearing what the girl said, who would believe someone they just met.

Maybe because we didn't respond nor move so the girl spoke again.

"You all can stay there forever then. Do you really think that if a Fenrir wanted to attack you it would use a human and try to bait you? It wouldn't need to, because it would be able to kill all of you in an instant, since the strongest of you is only a Nascent Soul early realm cultivator." when we heard the girl we were surprised that she was able to discern the cultivation stage of the strongest among us and we couldn't even sense a speck of cultivation from her.

The girl turned around started speaking with the two Fenrirs, the three of them completely ignoring our existence.

"So, what do you think about this situation?" whispering I asked my two companions.

"Well, what she said is true that we couldn't escape from a Fenrir nor win against it in a fight if the Fenrir doesn't let us, and they are extremely prideful creatures so they would never resort to traps." one of them argued.

"True, but still, it is to risk to be that close to a Fenrir." the other one said.

"We said that we would check it out, and besides the Fenrir's youngling is there so I doubt it would want to fight, unless provoked." I said.

As we all agreed on going we had no idea that everything we were saying was being heard by the Fenrir and was serving as entertainment to be discussed between him and the girl.

"We heard about this place from a Magical Beast that came into town a week or so ago, saying that a big golden building appeared in the fourth layer of the Wingtar region, but nobody believed, as we were going to pass through here we remembered what he said and thought about checking it out." I said while cupping my fists in greeting at the girl that had turned around.

"I see, I guess it is kind of unbelievable, but it is good that you thought about finding out if it is true. Now that you know it is real you can divulge. My name is Scarlet, by the way, nice to meet you. Why don't you all come in?" the girl said while pointing her hand to the door where above it was written restaurant.

As we went in, we were surprised by the interior of the restaurant, it seemed so innovative and different from the ones we knew, but it had a good decoration giving of a cozy feeling, it was organized, clean and beautiful. The tables, chairs, stools, stand and shelfs were all made a Ebony wood with detailed carvings.

We sat on the stools by the counter and it was good that we sat because we couldn't believe that all the food here was charged in spirit stones.

"Hey, are you sure that your dishes can back up this prices?" one of my companions asked Scarlet.

"If they can't you don't have to pay." she said confidently.

"You are serious?" I couldn't understand where her confidence came from, "What if we say it doesn't taste good just so we won't need to pay?" I asked while trying to tell her that something like this could happen.

"Then you won't eat here anymore, after all, why would you eat something you say doesn't taste good. Also, my dishes use Magical Beast meat, so I would say the price is fair when combined with my recipes. You can also choose the grade of the magical beast, but of course the higher the grade the greater the cost." Scarlet said as if everything is a matter of fact.

"I see, we would like two of your cheapest ones and I want that sweet and sour pork dish, with 2 side dishes for each of one." I said

"Oh do you have any alcohol?" my companion asked.

"Unfortunately I don't have any yet, but next time you come I will have one ready that will make you dead drunk." Scarlet said jokingly.

"I will take you up on that offer." he said laughing.

Half an hour later we smelled an intoxicating flavor, and as we saw Scarlet coming out with our dishes we were already salivating.

"I guess just the aroma alone is worth the price already." I said laughing.

As we started devouring the food we saw Scarlet bringing another two dishes outside, I guess it was for the Fenrirs.

After we finished eating we payed the spirit stones and promised to come back later for the alchohol.

Ding!

"I am going to bed Ragnar and Nifret, good night ." Scarlet said

Meanwhile, in the capital of the Fallmoon Kingdom, the residence of the Minister of War was brightly lit and a family meeting was taking place.

"I still can't believe we couldn't find that bitch when she escaped." one of Veronica's stepmothers said.

"The people I sent said that they had last seen her on that caravan of wagons going to the Mimbria Kingdom, if they hadn't met that busybody of a cultivator she would have already been captured." Veronica's second sister, Kelly, said frustrated.

"I don't care what has happened but we need to find her and bring her back now. The emperor has decreed that she is to marry the Duke of Dalphia next month." Veronica's father, Tyler, said.

"She can't even cultivate and it has been a few weeks already since we last saw and heard news of her, the chances that she is already dead are high, though maybe she could have been captured and sold, since her appearance if taken care of can be worth a lot." one of Veronica's brother, Henry, said.

"We have sent people to the Mimbria Kingdom but there was no sign of her there, she never made it to that Kingdom. Since she was found by Kelly's people maybe she changed destinations. Though there is a report that I hope isn't true otherwise her outcome is already decided." Veronica's older brother, Ian, said.

"What does it say?" Tyler asked.

"The guards said they heard from someone a description that matches Veronica's, about a girl that went inside Wingtar region almost four weeks ago. That fits the timeline and why we didn't find her in Mimbria." Ian said.

"But that doesn't make any sense, even she would know what kind of place Wingtar region is, especially for her that can't cultivate, that is certain death. Send our people to Vulcas and Liasar Kingdom. If she isn't in Mimbria she has to be in the other two kingdoms, and make sure you search the auctions and slave markets. Follow any leads about girls that matches her description, we don't have a lot of time." Tyler ordered.

"Seems like that slut's is really destined to never enjoy life." Kelly said happily while laughing.

"Stop joking Kelly, we will all suffer if we don't find her and bring her to marry the Duke." Henry said.

"I know, but why can she marry him?! He is the bachelor that every girl in the capital and in the other kingdoms wish to marry. He is so young but he is already a duke, his cultivation is even higher than father's, putting him on the top of the cultivation world of Laimyra. It was also revealed that some of the branches of elixirs/ medicine/ herbs/ weapons/ pills/ formations...that have been expanding everywhere is owned by him. I am the one that should marry him! Father, you said you would help me." Kelly said in a crazed state.

"You know very well why your sister can marry him. Because the Duke of Dalphia is so strong, his status high and his prestige/ influence so immense that the emperor has decreed this marriage. The emperor wants to dimish all of those and humiliate him by making him marry Veronica, after all who doesn't know about her not being able to cultivate, not having the knowledge of anything, not even the basic four arts (calligraphy, paintings, playing qin and the strategy game of Go), her reputation was also tarnished by the rumors you and your sisters spread for fun about her. Anyway, she is known as being a ignorant weakling, with zero self esteem letting anyone walk over her even servants, I have never even seen her with head raised once, she is also known for having already lost her innocence. That is why you won't be able to marry him, you won't bring him any disgrace, though you should be happy that I doubt he would treat someone like her well, don't forget that he is being forced to marry her. I just hope that when we retrieve her, her body is still intact, after all it will bring shame to us if she isn't when her wedding happens." Tyler said while looking at Kelly.

"I know, it's just... seems like a loss." Kelly said dejectedly.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Sathir world a man was sitting on a throne while looking coldly at the men in black kneeling below him.

"Repeat it." the man sitting on the throne said with a voice so cold and with anger visible in it, that it sent shivers down the men's, that were kneeling, spines.

"Yes, my Lord. The emperor of the Fallmoon Kingdom in the Laimyra world decreed that your lordship marries the third lady, Veronica, of the Minister of War's residence next month." one of the men that was kneeling reported.

"That vermin actually got the guts and dared to command me to do something like that. Regardless, he is irrelevant, the third lady, Veronica... she is the one that can't cultivate and is abused by her family like she is worst than a slave, right? Is the emperor a child or an idiot to try an use marriage with her against me?" the man asked.

"Yes, my lord. But it seems like that lady is nowhere to be found. Her family has already dispatched people everywhere, but they haven't been able to find her yet. So we probably won't even have to do anything to stop this marriage." the same man reported.

"What do you mean nowhere to be found? She is missing? Why?" the man asked

"I wouldn't say that she is missing, my lord. After all, she escaped from her family around four weeks ago, this is the fully detailed report about what exactly happened." he said as he presented a paper to the man.

"...So, what you are saying happened is that a girl that has passively accepted everything that had been done to her no matter what for the past 17 years, after trying to commit suicide and failing, she knocked out a servant, poisoned one of her sisters clothes and left the residence. And the last time her family had any news of her was when she was able to escape the guards that her sister sent after her, when she was on her way to the Mimbria Kingdom. And all of this and she doesn't even know how to cultivate." as the man said what was on the report his voice only grew colder.

"Yes, my lord. That is exactly what happened and our men have found out evidence that she may have entered Wingtar region." he said while shivering.

"Interesting, maybe I should head to Laimyra when I am done with things here." the man said as he got up from his throne.

Next morning

"I should try to brew regular wine and wine for cultivators, I have a feeling that after those three that came yesterday we are going to get very busy, maybe they would be able to divulge to many people. After making wine, I can make some shots, drinks with liquor and vodka." Scarlet said to Ragnar full of expectations of having a crowded place soon.

"I am only feeling that trouble is coming our way." he said

"Anyway, here is your breakfast, since I already ate, I will go on ahead and try my brewing skills for you to test them later. Always better to drink with a stomach full." Scar said as she went inside the Knowledge Hall.

Scarlet picked two books first: "How to brew Divine Wine" and "How to brew White Wine".

Ding!

[Points deducted: 40 points]

[Total points remaining: 90 points]

"This is totally a draining hole without an end, could I at least have the ingredients for free? Since I am only using it for training without any customers I won't gain any points, you wouldn't want me to only try it out when there is customers, right? Won't you be ashamed to call it something that came from a recipe of the System?" Scar asked hoping to convince the System to show mercy to her points.

[Though the System would be ashamed, it is not the System that will loose customers, neither is the System the one that is known as the creator of the recipes. The Host is the one that will be held accountable for everything, so stop trying to haggle.]

"That's cheating and mean, haven't I given you enough points? Fine, I will give you more, I would like to see you burst for taking more than you can handle." Scar said defeated.

After around 7 hours and a few tries (just like how the soil in the Medicine Hall can make the herbs grow faster, the System provided jars that could accelerate the fermentation process, shortening the time needed to brew wine) an alcoholic aroma permeated the house and outside of it.

Scarlet took some of the Divine Wine and brought outside for Ragnar.

"At least the aroma of this one is really good, different from the ones before." Ragnar said taunting her.

"I guarantee that this one I made it right, so stop remembering the failures." Scarlet refuted peeved.

"If Scar got this one right can I taste it?" Nifret asked blinking his eyes.

"No. I don't give poison to my own son." Ragnar said.

"Even if alcohol is a poison I would appreciate it if you don't call something that I took hours to make poison. Besides, you are going to be testing it first." Scarlet said.

"Pretty please father. You said that I need to experience everything at least once in my life." he said almost begging.

"Fine. But you are going to have to look after him." Ragnar said to Scarlet.

"A drunken Fenrir, I can't imagine what is it like." Scar wondered.
