Tori was on the other side of the call and quickly responded. "I have done as you have asked. Although I do not fully support this plan... I will go along with it since the cooperative relationship that is connected to it may be beneficial in the long run."
Tori could see various problems with the proposal right away that could result in some serious problems.
She may not have been a CEO for very long but she had the talent to climb up to a high position on her own merit until she was eventually handed the position by Tiffany.
Her intuition and experiences made her look at the big picture and the effects it could have not only on the business side of things but also on the public image.
It would look very good on the surface for the donations of some of the profits to go to the police funding and it would encourage more to invest too which was very good for them.
The bad side of such a thing was that the company was staking its image and reputation on the police fund.
They were essentially using their name to promote such an action of supporting the police and they would be the ones to suffer later if the police let them down and caused all those who followed the trend to be disappointed.
There was always a chance that the police would fail to produce the expected results after being given so much support.
What could be much worse was if those funds were used in a manner that was considered inappropriate.
The moment that anything bad happened like that, the public would turn on those who encouraged them to offer their support.
Not everyone would be able to handle the backlash from such a thing so it was quite a big risk to do something like that.
A part of her words spoken on the news broadcast were true but some of it was false and a part of a pre-planned script.
The truth was mixed with lies to tell a believable story that everyone would be able to believe in.
Tori was once a big supporter of the police and heroes when she was younger.
She believed in justice and that villains would receive punishment for their misdeeds so she just had to wait for those who had such capabilities to handle the situation and save those who were innocent.
Unfortunately, as she grew older, she faced various experiences that let her wake up from such fantasies.
Not every situation could be dealt with so easily and those who were supposed to handle those matters were not always around when they were needed.
She faced several bad days due to her appearance just like any other anthropomorphic type Quirk possessor.
If there was one thing that let her agree to it all and take on such a risk then it was the potential that the deal brought to the company.
The expected profits were supposed to be quite high so donating a portion of it to the police fund would not do much to the profits gained for the company in the long run.
So long as the designer and comic artist Molly was able to maintain her current fanbase and increase it further, it was expected that the sales would start to be quite rapid once introduced but later, they would gradually slow down a little more.
Everyone wanted something new that was popular but not everything kept that popularity.
Some trends usually died out quite quickly but if the trend was constantly being maintained then it was usually due to there being a popular influencer behind it that was keeping it relevant and kept promoting it.
Molly and her webcomic were the source of that advertisement even after the effects of the news report would be forgotten by many.
It was a webcomic so the viewers were not just in one city and ranged from many different ages and backgrounds so it was not limited to a small community.
That meant that the more famous Molly's webcomic became, the more the project could be expanded beyond the city limits so that the news broadcast could take their business.
If the profits and expansion of the project could expand beyond the limits of the city then it would eventually be able to make it possible to negate any negative effects that could be brought by the possible bad outcomes that could take place.
Tiffany responded to the words of Tori. "Hmm... thanks for going along with this."
Tiffany was not too aware of the greater effects that she would have but she was just happy enough to expand her range of surveillance on others and to provide a little more help to her family.
The profits were not something that she was too interested in since she already had a large amount of money that was tied to shares of some companies.
Although she could be considered as being quite rich, a lot of her money and power could not be so easily accessed until she became much older.
Even most of her shares and other things were not under her name and she had others holding onto some of them or managing them for her.
She was not in too much of a hurry to get all of it back and cash it all in just so that she had a lot of money to hold in her hands.
While she and Butch had discussed everything in detail before presenting such a proposal to Tori, they were not fully responsible for how it developed further.
That was all left to the hired staff who were more suited to strategizing and coming up with ideas to make everything a success.
After hanging up the call after a talk with Tori about how the next stages of the project would proceed, Tiffany turned back toward Butch with a serious expression on her face. "Brother... I want to learn how to fight."
