Chapter 20: Grocery Shopping

Jimin and Jungkook were on their way to the supermarket, a routine they tried to do every other Saturday. Jimin giggled as he danced along to the music, playing through the radio in the car. Jungkook chuckled at his silly boyfriend, bobbing his head to the beat.

Jungkook rounded the parking lot before he found a free spot, lucky to find a spot close to the grocery store entrance.

"Ok baby, lets go!" Jungkook hollered as he hopped out the car. Jimin giggled, trying to unfasten his seat belt and let out a frustrated whine when he struggled. But soon Jungkook came to his rescue as he unfastened the belt for him and helped him out the car.

Jungkook grabbed one of the shopping carts before they walked into the store "Ok let's see" he pulled out a folded piece of paper from his pocket that read 'Shopping list' at the top. "We need...bread, apple juice, eggs…" Jungkook quickly skimmed the rest of the list before turning to Jimin. "Do you think you can get the bread for me baby? I will met you in the juice aisle, you remember where that is?"

"Yes! I remember Kookie!" Jimin cheered.

"My smart boy" Jungkook smiled, kissing Jimin on his forehead before sending him off to get said bread.

Jimin practically skipped to the bread aisle, knowing this grocery store like the back of his hand now. He walked down the aisle until he found the bread they wanted, internally praising himself for remembering. He skipped back down the aisle, making his way to where Jungkook said to meet him. But he stopped in his tracks as he was passing by one of the aisles, it was a mother and her baby who was sitting in the seat of the cart. The little girl was gurgling happily to her mother who was smiling and talking along like she understood. Jimin watched as the mother picked up a packet of diapers, before pushing the cart and making her way out the aisle. That's when Jimin realized what aisle this was.

He took tentative steps down the path, hesitant at what he would find, but curiosity outweighing his hesitation. To his left there was all assortments of pacifiers and baby bottles, some with animal prints or stars. Jimin blushed as he thought about his own bottle, noticing the big difference between his and the baby's bottle, but he loved his bottle because Jungkook got it for him.

He continued down the aisle until he saw a self of baby rattles. There was one that stood out to him, it was a cute red crab rattle with claws that rattled. There was colorful beads that traveled from the ring of the rattle to the crab's claws. Jimin didn't even think twice before making a grab for it. He gave it an experimental shake, cheeks blushing at the little jingle sound it made.

He turned around, ready to make his way out of the aisle when something else caught his eye. On the opposite shelves were rows and rows of diapers, ranging from different brands and ages, to different colors and designs. He felt his face heat up even more, feet unable to move and mind fuzzy as he stood there looking at the diapers.

"There you are!"

Jimin snapped out of his daze at the familiar voice, head turning to see Jungkook making his way down the aisle to him.

"You had me worried sick, what you doing down here" Jungkook huffed out.

"Sorry Kookie" Jimin mumbled, red face looking down at his shoes.

Jungkook was about to say something when he finally took notice of the item in Jimin's hand that wasn't holding the bread. He gently pried it out of Jimin's hand, the smaller not daring to look at and see his reaction. He surveyed rattle, turning it over a few times before looking back up to Jimin. "Did you want this baby? I can get it for you if want."

Jimin gasped as his head snapped up to look and Jungkook, surprised that Jungkook was willing to buy him the rattle. But Jungkook gave him such a caring and encouraging smile, so he slowly nodded his head, looking back down to hide his blushing face.

"Ok baby" Jungkook placed the rattle in the cart, taking the bread from Jimin to also place in the cart. He then took notice of his surroundings, noticing that they were in fact in the baby aisle, standing next to the diapers. He looked over the diapers, then to Jimin, his eyes moving back and forth between the two before he looked around to see they were alone in the aisle. "Did you want this also honey?" he whispered carefully, pointing to a pack of diapers.

Jimin looked up to see what Jungkook was talking about, nervously biting his lip before Jungkook gently pried it from his teeth with his thumb, so he wouldn't hurt himself. He thought about it before eventually shrugging, unsure of how he felt.

Jungkook just simply nodding "That's ok baby love. You think about it and let me know ok? If you do want them though we'll have to get you ones that can fit. I wouldn't mind looking around online for you."

Jungkook kissed his forehead, wrapping one arm around his shoulder and cuddling him in close. It made Jimin feel so much better, safer, he was so thankful to have someone like Jungkook.

Jungkook kept his arm over his shoulder as he used his other hand to push the cart. "Come on sweetpea, we still got some shopping to do."
