Chapter 29: prelude to disaster

*7 days later some time in the morning*

"Oh your so sweet Daisuke, but you don't have to take us out for dinner" Ms.Ichiro said as she hung clothes out to dry.

"I don't mind Ms as you and your husband has been nothing but nice and accommodating" Owen said causing ms.ichiro to nod as she hung up a large sheet over the line with the help of Owen.

"Okay fine, We accept just make sure you have enough money because my husband eats alot" Ms ichiro said getting a joke from Owen who with a simple nod replied.

"I learned that when your husband downed 1 loaf of bread and 4 bowls of soup" Owens joke caused ms.ichiro to burst out in laughter as she picked up her now empty basket and went inside her house while Owen continued to chill outside happy he completed step 1 of his plan which was getting the Ms and Mr ichiro and there family to come out to eat, the reason being so he could save them as he planned to pick a ppacr close to where the train would be.

'To bad their kids did not have families' Owen thought as he soon stood up from his spot on the ground and began to make his way towards the train station which took close to a hour as the distance between the ichiro's farm and the main living area of this walled in city.

"Finally here!" Owen exclaimed joy visible on his face as he stood on the platform which was bustling with activity as engineers and workers went back fourth ignoring Owen who stood there observing his surroundings.

"Hey watch out!" Suddenly while Owen was admiring his surrounding he hear a yell come from behind as he side stepped a browned hair young man in the same outfit as the other workers, who after moving past Owen moved straight towards another young man with a more rotund physique who quickly joked at his friend being late before they quickly joined the group going to work around the platform.

'Good seems I made it here in time's Owen thought before he found a bench and went and began to wait for the arrival of koutetsujou.

Well that was the plan until he noticed a large amount of people whispering while staring at the exit of the train yard.

"Hey its Ms.ayame from the the yomokawa family!?" Someone shouted quietly not to far from Owen who looked over to see a young girl in a pink and white outfit with two men standing on either side of her their eye ever vigilant as they looked around for any danger even dragging their eyes over Owen a couple of times.

After a bit of standing there the girl now known as ayame was approached by a scruffy looking man who Owen guessed to be the foreman of this yard.

Sadly Owen could not hear the conversation that took place between the two but seeing the how the young man who almost ran into owen get called forward he knew this was the moment when ikoma the protagonist fixed ayames father steam gun.

It only took a moment as ikoma had the steam gun fixed soon after a short exchange of word they soon split as something seemed to happen, but luckily he was able to hear what was was going on from one of the guards that were being ordered around by ayames guards.

'Seems it's here' Owen thought as he sooned watch a gore covered train enter the station, it's armor and spikes showing a menacing presence as it pulled into the station.

"CONNECT THE INSPECTION BOX" Owen heard as he turned from his spot to see ayames standing next to her father who shouted the order.

*30 minutes later*

'Damn they are through' Owen thought as they took their time going through each group of people slowly causing him to become slightly bored, a boredom that was soon ended ASF a man came running out the inspection box in his underwear as people shouted for him to be stopped.

Owen though did not plam to get involved or that would have been his plan if not for the fact the man ran in his direction where he tripped and fell in front of Owen.

"Please help me! I'm not infected!" The man screamed as he grabbed on Owen clothes begging him for help slightly startling owe. Who threw the man off of him who was then surrounded by a group of soldiers armed with steam guns.

"Please help me!" The man screamed look to Owen for assistance who now stood just outside of the group.

'Im going to regret this' That's all Owen could think as he pushed some of the troops aside and stood infronf of the man as he spoke loudly.

"He says he's not infected why don't we hear him out?" Owen said causing the shoulders all stound him to freeze but they soon shouted for Owen to move, something he obviously didn't do causing two of the 5 men surrounding him to move to try to get him out of the way.

Sadly for them Owen body was extremely tuned to combat with the help of [Polearm mastery] as even without his spear he was much stronger then these soilders, who didn't even get chance to fight back as Owen dropped both of them to the floor with a quick punch to the face.

Sadly this alarmed other surrounding soilders who raised their weapons ready to shoot, but would Owen allow this? NO!

With that Owen quickly took out his spear still wrapped in cloth as he swung it at the surround men causing them all to drop their weapons as Owen stood next to the man who had a look of relief wash over his face.

"STEP ASIDE" suddenly Owen heard the voice of ayames father as he came to stand in front of Owen with group of his personal guards right behind him each of them ready to draw their blades as their lord spoke.

"Who are you?" This question didn't go without a answer as Owen slammed the base of his spear shaft which was now entirely metal causing a large banging sound as he address the lord in front of him.

"Shishido Daisuke"
