Chapter 5

"That's strange, im sure i casted Nature to this.."

Erine took the staff and examined it, and

(it's completely normal!)

She looked at Astri, trying to figure it out but nothing she could think off, (strange how theories doesn't pop up ) 

Theories always pop up to her mind, when something bothers her and most of it becomes true. 

She did bot pry further, they preceeded the birthday gifts, Marlene came next, she gifted the blessings of shadows protection, and guide.

The next. To bless me, is viole 

She placed 10 different kinds of golden relics surrounding me.

( you gonna sacrifice me sister?— Viole i just turned 4...)

"I bless you with Health, fortune 100fold!" She announced (isn't that like defying the heavens?) 

The relic shined increasingly, for a few seconds, and when it all stopped glowing they all shattered to pieces, and Astri was surrounded with golden lights. 

(isn't this too exaggerated... ) 

"We both collaborated and made this!" Viole and marlene presented a galaxy robe, with furs. (To what will i even use those?)

I wore the cloak and it looked cute.. the color though, "its what fits for a child like you!" Erine stated. (Im now 100% this color was your idea)

"It has alot of effects such as presence cancellation, stealth, Sheild, invincibility, can alter sizes and designs! Perfect to rob a bank!"

Marlene proudly stated... 

Grandfather smacked Marlenes head, before she could say more. 

The next to give me a blessing was lila, "May you be blessed with beauty, immorality and love" 

She kissed Asti's forhead ending her blessings ritual. She, and grandfather came forth with a box and a key. They opened it and what revealed is a book and a bunny pouch. 

"This book is from me" grandfather handed his book,

(He pricked my finger and drop my blood from it.)

"You are from now on it's master."

Lila took her gift out from the box and tied it to my waist, "its a spatial pouch, there's something inside, but you can only access it when your almost 5 years old." 

(What.. why doe's it feel like a farewell gift!?)

Lila gave Astri a small smile before standing back up, "drew your blood with it so no one can steal it" Astri did as she was told, and they all proceeded to party. 

She felt something strange but, Marlene and viole distracted her. Astri loved very gifts she's given, and she is happy– for once she felt pampered again. 

Before ending the party, Astri then again took the nature staff, and made a fireworks display with different colours.

"Diane.." 

I again hear the name I long wanted to forget, I did not want to open them. I was afraid everything was a dream, ( I dont want to open them!)

.."Astri" I looked up, and saw a tall man,

"I'm sorry my child.. i thought shed changed.."

I was beyond speechless with this beautiful crying man! (Dear me..)

But why is he crying?... He held me closer and gave me the warmest hug, He keep on saying he's sorry.. 

I patted his back saying I forgive him, but he continues to cry. I let him and stayed beside him until he slowly stopped, his eyes became puffy but he still looked gorgeous! 

"I failed as a father, Im sorry" those words he dropped frozed me.. (What!?) 

"As far as i know i only lived once and had one father.." i correct him. He looked more sad, Before i could deny him. He dropped me more bombs. 

My, mom and dad had lived as Celestial beings, but mother committed adultery. My father was too hurt and left us, left me a 5 year old Diane with her. I went through so many abuse and being used, for my mother's luxury and status.

From being sold, made into an entertaining toy for the grown ups with their disgusting kink, to being sold for marriage and locked up in a bird gage... 

My father didn't miss a detail of what happened to me, He swore that it will never happen again..

I was shocked by what the past me had experienced, but i felt detached.

"I made sure it wont affect you, even after the next life" He assured me. 

We chatted for quite sometime, but it was time to say our goodbyes. 

"Well see each other soon, don't worry" He planted a kiss on my forehead before leaving. A voice echoed, "Happy birthday my Astri"

I jolted up from my bed, looking at my surroundings. Im really back, I still remember–

(so I did met my biological dad!.) 

I noticed two boxes on my bed, I opened the little one and its a mini cruise boat, I can't unlock its functions but the information did pop up.

"Floating cruise" 

(interesting... well everything is interesting here)

And the other one, i cant open till im 5. It said on the pop up screen. 

(why doe's it feel like they're preparing me!?)

As days went by, it's all just Peacefully spending our time. 

Its been 8 months and im already fighting Gerald head on. 

"How about.. we stop here.." i suggest while panting from exhaustion. 

"No, We will not" He's stubborn as always.

I casted shower Ice shard, and He avoided them all for 30 seconds, then used dashed towards me flawlessly avoiding my attacks.

That's what he's been doing since then, he took advantage of my distracted self, taking my wand. "You are still careless, I will have to train you much harder then" He sternly says. 

"I'm only 4!" he did not listen. Before i could even whine my way to him, he started coughing harshly and Lila took him. They didn't spare me a glance, so did the other three.

It only confirmed my theories...

(It may not be bacuse they dont want me here, but because Grandfather doesn't have time..) 

I tried to follow them, but they disappeared fast.

I didn't let that affect me, and continued to practice. Grandfather said im special, Maybe i can find a way.. but a year and a few months is too short of a time.

I was determined to help grandfather, I too started researching since Erine said He wont be back for a week. Erine comes to visit sometime. 

"Everything will be fine soon Astri" Erine assured me, but by the looks of her expression she's telling herself too..

5 days... it's all that's left before he departs..

(i still have no improvements!)

A sobs escaped me, and my tears began to pour uncontrollably. I can hear Lila and Marlene moving my thing outside, and all the other stuff.

 Lila knocked on my door 

"Astri, we need to clean this room.."

I quickly wiped my tears and healed my puffy eyes. "Alright!" I changed into a cheerful tone.

I rushed out of the room not looking back to face Lila, I'm afraid, that if she ask me I might, break down.

This child... I still can't believe she'll be living on her own now, we've already casted blessings to protect her but it's not enough..

And the final decision of our master..

A few days back 

– "Did you even tell her?"

Gerald stayed still and ignored Erine's question, I also felt that it's wrong not to tell her. She's become attached to us, learning on her own of what will happen to her is cruel. 

"She's a smart child, and i already stated that she leaves early. Is to make sure she doesn't know"

The way he responded felt empty, his first experience for adopting was the worst. I thought that would make him more numb to this.

"You stated she's smart, then surely since she's smart she'll figure it out! That we're abandoning her" Gerald slammed the table. 

"ERINE" he for once actually commended her to go back to the spirit world, Erine is shaken by his sudden command, she obeyed and left. 

"She didn't mean that, and it's rare to see a nature fairy to be that mad.. she doesn't know how to control it" I try to calm him down, and to forgive Erine. 

"I understand where, you're all coming from, but i too did my best researching. Astri who's wrecking her brain over nothing to help me, affects me even more." 

We have noticed it, no matter how smart she is, we still figured out her determination to help. 

"Lila.. help me explain this to her.." 

He's a coward no matter what, Gerald never changed.

"Gerald i would gladly tell her but you face her yourself. Explain yourself. You're her grandfather "

He groaned but agreed away. 

All we hope is that to see her grow, but we met at the wrong time.. oh dear Astri out of all times.
