CHAPTER EIGHT

One week later, inspector Desmond visited Rambo right in their domain, he asked why the job has not been done, he was angry at Rambo and threaten to bring him down if he dare refuses to get the work done "young man you don't know who you are dealing with, I gave you a job to deliver in three days, this is one week and you never made an attempt, I don't send an assignment twice young man, if you knew me before now you should have delivered this earlier, despite the huge amount on the job Rambo you didn't make a move, you have humiliated me oh no" Rambo on the other hand wasn't afraid nor frightened by inspector's threat, he knew inspector and he knew inspector was not as powerful as the person he sent them to according to what his boys told him, "you see inspector, I can't endanger my life trying to capture someone for you, that guy is no match with us even with you and you know that, I can't go on such mission, if you want him go get him for yourself". Inspector was really confused, this was Davies he knew right from when he was a young boy, he knew Davies never belong to them and if should have any power at all, it should be that of the most high but he didn't want to go into that, "who is actually feeding you with all this lies, Davies is a little boy and he knows nothing about our membership", it was then inspector understood what was happening but he didn't want to care, "now I'm giving you this job for the second and last time, the next time I will come here Rambo I will definitely blow off your head, it's a promise", Rambo smiled wiredly at him "you can do nothing to me Mr Man ha ha ha, I will only do my best but I definitely will not kill myself", Inspector had no time to rattle with little boys who has no idea of what he is capable of, he left after listening to Rambo but he dropped a word before leaving, "remember Rambo it's a promise".

The registra Mr Mike had earlier visited the gang to warn them to be mild with their operation for now that since their last operation, police officier has been alerted and they are seriously on the issue. Rambo gave him a thumbs up signifying he got his message. The registra has been interviewed on several occasions due to the latest incidence, he expressed his unrealistic sympathy to the parents of those whose children were involved and promised that their children would be found.

It's been a while, Chief Edwin has been alone he really wanted to speak with his son, this time around face to face no longer over the phone because he knew Davies won't pick his calls. He decided to meet Rambo, he visited him in his house in the night instead of going to their hideout. Rambo was preparing his boys for the job the next day, when Chief Edwin entered his room, Rambo quickly recognised him as the Chief who was recently escominicated, he didn't bother greeting him "yes what are you doing in my house by this time?, what do you want?" as usual proud and arrogant, Chief Edwin was not in the mood to entertain any respct from him, he just want a way to win his heart as he knew their operation the next day. At first Rambo was not interested in the discussion, he wanted Chief out of his house, what should he be doing with an expired product who is only waiting for it's day of disposal.

"look here son, I have something to tell you if only you will sit down and hear me out", "who is your son old man, I am not your son, I am Rambo the leader of the red horn confraternity and nobody can change that" Rambo boasted, Chief was busy looking at him with a smile as a young who doesn't know what he is doing. Chief was here to reveal some important secret to Rambo, Chief knew Rambo beyond being the leader of the Red horn confraternity. "look here Rambo, I'm here to tell you something you would love to hear but first sit" Chief ordered, he wasn't begging him to but Rambo won't listen, "look old man I think you have spent enough time here now leave, "I said sit Martins Joe" Chief said rather smiling nor too serious, Rambo was suprised "where did you get that name from?, you know my name?", "yes son and I repeat again sit down let me tell you your favourite story" Chief was no longer smiling, he was talking to him like a father, by this time, Rambo sat down looking rather confused.

Chief: I know your father so well, I was there when your mum was pregnant of you, I carried you in my hands, I bought you gifts even on your one year birthday. Your mum right now is lying sick on the bed without any cure for her problem.

Rambo: [confused] how come you know all this, yes my mum is lying sick at home, helpless [at this point he broke down, he just allowed it flow] I have tried all I could, taken her to different hospital but her condition defiled all medical attention, but I can't watch my mother die, I love her so much.

Chief: your mum has being in this condition for long, but your heartless father know the solution to her problem.

Rambo: How dear you call my father heartless.

Chief: Yes he is, for two years now he has been sacrificing your mother's blood on the alter just to get power and fame, and once your mother's last blood is dropped, she's gone....yess.

Rambo: Godforbid it, you mean dad is doing all this and he pretends to be an innocent and caring husband, oh God why, no wonder he initiated me so I can grow to take over from him when he is gone, I never knew all this cost the blood of my very own ah ah ah [he shed like a baby].

Chief: you see we all dwell in the dark, we have shed bloods and it has profitted us nothing, we only end up loosing our dear ones, now look at me I killed my lovely wife just to get what your father is also looking for, I got it but now I've lost everything, even my sons life is at stake, I'm just a walking corpse, a dead man already.

Rambo: I earlier had a bright future when I was growing up, I intended to be a medical doctor, but along the line my father introduced me to this lifesyle, I thought it was the best since it was my father's decision, but now I'm regreting it, I won't forgive Mr Mike he's no more worthy to be called my father, he failed in his responsibility of bringing up a good and godly home, but with his hands destroyed his family, ah this is terrible.

Chief: [Stood up to leave] Take care son but one last thing, I want to see him [Davies] tomorrow. Greet your father for me when you see him.

Rambo sat down tired and dejected, he wiped his tears and placed a call to Commando, Commando was the second leader after Rambo. He told Commando that it was gonna be a double crossing game in favour of Chief Edwin, "so get the boys ready, it's gonna be a double crossing game, goodbye".

The next day, the boys were ready for the operation, they took their weapons and left as Rambo has ordered them to. Few minutes after they left, Rambo organised the other group who was going to double cross, he told them to wait for the other group on the way "you know what?, as soon as they get the boy and soon as they stop on the way, you fire but remember don't touch the boy, I know this gonna be a betrayal but what must be done must be done , may their gentle souls rest in peace, now go". Rambo decided to kill the other boys that was sent to get Davies, so he can tell inspector how his boys were killed by other gangs in the process of getting Davies for him and among the gang who double crossed, no one was to say or reveal anything to inspector, so the first gang got Davies, he was in his car with Pa James and his son, Pa James had a son which became like a brother to Davies, his name is Johnson, he just arrived from the states where he went to do his masters, they were on their way to an eatery to have time together since Davies had no class to lecture that day. On their way, along a quiet street, the boys drove roughly and stopped in front of them, Davies had to hold his brake immediately, without wasting time, the boys went straight to the car, took Davies and drove away. Pa James and his son were frightened, Pa James began to yell and role on the tad road, "Davies my son, Davies my son o", Johnson had to carry his father back into the car and drove back home. Inside the car, Davies was confused but what suprised him was that they didn't hurt him not even an attempt to, when the guys were driving, they saw another car packed in front of them, they quickly recognised it was their collegues, they stopped came out of the car and tried to embrace with them, but immediately the other guys who were waiting kicked their guns and shot at them sparing only Davies who was in the car terrified at another scene. They took Davies, with his eyes blindfolded, they took him straight to his father.
