The Soul Society was engulfed in the clash of spiritual pressures and the cacophony of battle. It seemed like everyone had found their respective opponents. Standing before me was Soi Fon, a captain-level opponent, who regarded me with disdain, as if I were nothing more than an insignificant insect.
"How dare you, puny insects, invade the Soul Society with just a miniscule amount of spiritual pressure? You will perish like your friends," she declared, releasing a formidable wave of spiritual pressure in an attempt to overpower me. But here's the twist – it didn't hit me as hard as she expected.
Her arrogance got under my skin real quick, and I couldn't keep my cool any longer. I yelled back, "Enough with the chitchat! Let's throw down!"
Soi Fon moved with incredible speed, suddenly vanishing from my sight. I panicked but as everyone in the anime series I knew her attack was coming from behind, so I reacted swiftly. With determination, I yelled the first Hado from the list of new series, "Bakudo #11 Kasai!"
<System >: Bakudo #11 Kasai: This spell creates a localized firestorm, generating intense flames in a designated area. The flames can be controlled and directed by the caster, making it a formidable tool for both offence and defense.
In an instant, a colossal firestorm erupted, engulfing everything in its fiery embrace. The size of the firestorm was truly massive, and to my satisfaction, Soi Fon was caught within it, struggling against the raging flames.
Soi Fon didn't waste any time. She unsheathed her zanpakuto, and in an instant, the massive firestorm I had conjured just faded away. It was like she swatted it aside effortlessly. Man, the power levels of these captains were seriously insane.
Her clothes were slightly scorched, but she didn't seem bothered. She stared me down, her expression serious. Then, she spoke, "How could you possibly have such firepower? I guess I can't take you lightly."
My eyes widened as she continued, "Sting all enemies to death, Suzumebachi."
Oh boy, things were about to get interesting. Her Zanpakuto turnet into a jewelery on her middle finger. I know it's very dangerous to be hit by that twice, but I have no counter against her speed.
It was as if her speed increased after she released the Shikai of her Zanpakuto. I quickly chanted the second bakudo from the new list, Bakudo #12 Tōketsu.
<System >: Bakudo #12 Tōketsu: This spell freezes a certain range encasing the target ot multiple targets with thick layer of ice. The frozen state restricts momevent and renders target vulnerable.
In an instant, the entire area was covered with ice, and Soi Fon's legs were encased in it. It was like a surreal frozen landscape had formed around us.
Soi Fon seemed surprised, and she exclaimed, "What type of attack is this? You even have powers of two opposite elements, and that too, such powerful ones. You are the most significant threat, Ryoka, the intruder."
Her movements were completely halted, and she was trapped within the vast expanse of ice. It seemed my new batch of Kido were proving to be quite handy in this unexpected battle.
As I watched Soi Fon trapped within my ice, a sense of satisfaction washed over me. However, she seemed to sense my hostility and warned me, "Even if you've caught me, the immense pressure from your spell will surely attract the attention of other captains."
Oh shit that's true , I glanced behind me to sense any potential threats. In that moment of distraction, Soi Fon seized the opportunity to break free from the ice and swiftly struck me with her weapon. "Khaa", she stabbed me behind, I puked a huge amount of blood. My lungs felt heavy as blood kept welling up, a vivid pattern forming on my back where I'd been injured.
Soi Fon's words dripped with arrogance as she declared "I don't need help to defeat a child like you, boy give up and I will give you a painless death". Her confidence was unwavering as she closed in for another strike, aiming for the same spot on my body. Her Zanpakuto ability can permanently kill the target if got hit by her weapon twice in the same body part. The agony from the previous wound still pulsed through me, and I knew I couldn't endure another hit in the same place.
As her weapon neared, my mind raced through a whirlwind of memories. I thought of my parents, my friends, and most profoundly, my beloved grandmother. She had always cared for me with such tenderness, shielding me from the harshness of the world. I remembered her loving smile and the warmth of her embrace.
For the first time in my life, I experienced the excruciating pain of being stabbed, and it was far from the heroic feats of protagonists in anime. The searing agony shot through my body, and I struggled to remain upright. Every fiber of my being screamed in protest, but the thought of those who had cared for me, of my determination to save Rukia, kept me from collapsing.
With sheer willpower, I clenched my teeth, ignoring the pain that threatened to overwhelm me. This fight was far from over, and I had no intention of meeting my end here.
Suddenly my consciousness was abruptly pulled into a different realm, a place dominated by a towering structure encircled by a majestic dragon. The sheer presence of the dragon sent shivers down my spine. But instead of aggression or hostility, the dragon regarded me with an unusual calmness. Its gaze bore into me, and to my astonishment, it began to speak.
In a voice that seemed to resonate deep within my very soul, the dragon asked a question that sent a jolt of curiosity through me. "Hey, Ridhiro boy, do you desire greater power?"
I was left speechless, my mind reeling from the surreal encounter. This was a proposition I hadn't expected, and I couldn't help but wonder what kind of power the dragon was offering and what it might demand in return.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
