Meanwhile on the far distant lands of Whole Cake Island, a letter had arrived in the hands of Big Mom along with the news of Alyssia being appointed as the new Warlord.

The newspaper was already torn to pieces once Big Mom had read the contents of it.

She held the envelope and opened it taking out the letter inside bringing it close to her face. "Dear Charlotte Linlin, I am writing to you to inform you that I have chosen to take up someone else's offer.

I cannot be tied to the Charlotte family due to my new status so I hope you will be able to understand my situation. I cannot be affiliated with anyone that is branded as a wanted criminal if I wish to maintain my current lifestyle.

I am mainly writing to you to convey my sincere apologies for declining you in this way but to also make you aware of my position towards marriage so that you understand why I must decline an arranged marriage like you have proposed.

I have just made my way to my current position of power through my own efforts and as someone that possesses such power, I believe it is my right to choose my own mate who I will share my life with.

The intent of the letter was to apologise enough to try to sway her away from taking any kind of actions against those around Alyssia but it included more information that could buy some time.

There were many restrictions involved in the choosing of her mate which disqualified many of her children from being potential partners with Alyssia and there was the information about a potential chance to take advantage of if she still had the intentions to try anyway.

Since Alyssia had been reincarnated into the One Piece world as someone who had already lived past twenty, she did not specifically set an age limit so long as it was not too ridiculous of a gap for her present bodies age and was preferably limited to her mental age.

Alyssia had several countermeasures in place just in case of emergencies to protect those under her but they would be useless if Big Mom and her strongest moved out together.

If there was going to be hate between them anyways then it was better to give them a reason to go after her before anyone else so she could settle it herself.

The main issue was that she was dealing with pirates and they never really played by the rules.

If that was the case then Alyssia did not mind playing the same tactics they would employ even if it meant targeting her vast resources, territories and even her children if it came to that.

While Alyssia may possibly suffer losses, it would be Big Mom that would be far worse off once it was all over.

"Mamamamamaa." The letter was thrown aside as she cursed. "Damned brat! How dare she reject me. Not many can so confidently talk to me like that and get away with it but I will play your little game.

It took a little time for those family members to be called back all of a sudden away from their current duties.

All that were lined up one after the other for her inspection were many males and even females ranging from eighteen to forty as she had requested.
