No Birthmark?

After safely giving birth to her daughters, Selina fell into deep slumber from exhaustion. The pain she chose to endure was too great for her to handle.

Before admitting to the hospital, she consulted the doctor and raised concerns about using anesthesia. Though there were slim chances of any accidents, she didn't want to risk it. She had heard too many delivery horror tales that affected her confidence in anesthesia.

Fortunately, the doctor and nurses were very careful and supportive throughout her labor and delivery process. Despite the pain she went through, she felt it was a worthy experience.

After holding her babies in her arms, the huge weight on her chest lifted. And she could now be at ease after hearing her babies healthy cries.

As the delivery went well, the doctor followed up on Selina's condition and simply gave the couple some tips as new parents before permitting her discharge after two days. The day Selina gave birth, everyone showed up except for Jessica and Kyla.

As for the reason for their absence, it was because they gave birth recently and were under postpartum confinement month. When they heard that Selina was in labor, they wanted to rush over as well. However, their husbands prevented them from going anywhere.

Jessica's health was not the best. At the beginning of her pregnancy, there were signs of miscarriage which made the couple extra careful on pregnancy rules and nutrition intake. Although they were careful, their baby was still delivered prematurely.

The delivery process did not go as smooth as they thought it would. In the middle of giving birth, Jessica's blood pressure suddenly spiked. Only Alfred knew how terrified he was when the doctor told him the chances of losing her that night. Hence, he was now extremely strict on her confinement period. 

Kyla, on the other hand, gave birth to twins. She felt slight discomfort in her abdomen one night and thought it was something she ate for dinner that caused it. Panic struck when she noticed red stains on her panties.

Around midnight, the two of them rushed to the hospital in their pajamas. After checking her condition, the doctor announced that she was officially in labor. As her contractions grew stronger, she eventually gave up on the idea of natural birth without anesthesia. When the doctor safely delivered her first baby, Kyla thought everything was over and she could finally relax.

But she was happy a tad too early. Seconds after her first baby was delivered, she felt another wave of pain. She cried as she exerted her remaining strength to push her second baby out. When the doctor congratulated the couple on having a boy and a girl, Isaac nearly fell on the floor from shock. He only started processing everything when he held both babies in his arms.

When he held his babies for the first time, he already knew that there was nothing in this world that could make him trade for such happiness. Seeing the two wrinkled faces sleeping peacefully in his arms filled his heart with warmth and affection. Since then, he spent every second of his time by either Kyla's side or his babies. If he had the choice, he wouldn't even use the toilet just to stick by them.

After everyone's visit, only Rosanna and Eric were left with Selina and Jason. They followed the couple and the newborns home. Originally, Michael wished to stay behind to accompany his sister and nieces. However, right before they left the hospital, Michael received news about a chaotic situation that broke out in the Clover Family. Hence, he could only rush back to keep everything under control.

Before leaving, he gave two gold bangles to his nieces. This was the first present for his nieces, so he didn't dare delay sending it over to them. After meeting his baby nieces, he was reluctant to leave them alone. When he did leave, he promised he would be back with more gifts for them.

Selina shook her head. At the end, Michael told them to leave before him, so he knows that they were safe. 

When they arrived home, Selina sent a text to Michael so he won't worry about them. As the babies were asleep, everyone tried to be as quiet as they could to not wake them up. In the baby room, both babies were placed in their own crib.

"Welcome to your home, my angels." Selina whispered. She made sure to wash her hands before touching them. Their originally wrinkled skin was now smoother. The more she looked at her babies, the more emotional she felt. 

Seeing that she was not leaving the room, Jason walked over to her side and pecked her cheek. "Let's go down. Mom and dad are waiting for us."

Selina thought of her twins fate and felt her chest tighten. She bit her lip and followed him downstairs. 

"Mom. Dad." Selina called for their attention.

"Selina, come take a seat. How are you feeling? Tired? It was a long commute from the hospital." Rosanna rubbed Selina's arms as if she already knew where it was sore. 

"I'm fine. It wasn't that bad of a commute." Selina answered.

"Oh right, did you two come up with names yet? You can't just call them baby all the time." Rosanna had some names prepared for them if they haven't decided on a name for her grandchildren yet.

"We did. Our eldest daughter is Chloe Hui-Clover. As for our younger daughter, her name is Ivy Hui-Clover. We decided to have them take both family names." At first, Jason wasn't sure what names to choose for them since the girls made a pact to not disclose the gender. 

However, they didn't add Rosanna to the equation when they made the pact. When Rosanna exposed the twins being girls, Jason began choosing their top favorite names. It took a while before he and Selina agreed on two names. 

"Chloe and Ivy. Great names! I love them." Rosanna turned to her husband and gave his hand a hard squeeze from excitement. 

"Mom, I checked Chloe and Ivy's bodies, but they don't have any birthmarks. Is it possible that they don't have birthmarks?" When Selina noticed that her babies didn't have any birthmarks when washing them, she held a strand of hope.
