Assassin

Sora and the other 3 soon arrived at the city which had the person who asked for his mission, they had to first meet the one who requested the mission before doing anything. it was a middle-aged man who asked for the mission, Sora quickly notched did smell the others from the city, more like a person he had recently come to the city. although confused as to why he would be so formed about killing a monster, the pay was 5 million jewels, Sora didn't care

Sora's nose was sharp thanks to the Iron dragon slayer magic he got. his senses were a few times better than the normal human. after getting all the information they needed, they headed off towards the mountain,

"This is just a simple mission; we just have to kill the snow monster on top of that mountain. after which we might disappear for some time before returning to the guild," Sora said calmly as he looked at a mountain that was covered in snow. they had all borough clothing to protect them from the cold,

"don't say stuff like that, you will jinx us, now let's go," Sue said as she led the way up the mountain, Sora and the others calmly followed her. and Sora quickly took the lead just increase something popped up. just because Sora was given the title S rank madge didn't mean he was powerful; he was the weakest S rank Mage within the guild. but his wide arrange of magic, and ability to copy other made him the strongest within the guild. but no one knew he could copy magic with but a look, he kept that to himself.

they all made their way up the mountain and began running into snow apes. there was a name for these snow apes, they were called Vulcan, Vulcans possess the ability to utilize Take Over Magic, which they employ by taking over human bodies to survive.

Gajeel and Boze easily defeated these monsters, as they went up they soon were hit by a blizzard. as they got higher up, the stronger the blizzard got until they saw a cave. they entered the cave as they wanted to wait for the blizzard to disappear before heading up the mountain.

Sora took out some firewood from his Requip dimension and started a fire. it was a bit cold outside, this was clearly no easy mission, it made Sora wonder what type of mission this was anyways. Sora calmly looked at Gajeel who was too arrogant to seat near the fire with them, Sora just ignored him, and he went on to take out some food.

"it's been forever since we went camping," Sue said with a smile. the 3 of them would sometimes take a mission that would take a day or so to complete, they would have some fun, telling scary stories, well it was mostly Sora telling the stories.

"This remembers me of a story of the 3 kids who were trapped within a cave," Sora said as the light from the fire shone on him, making him a bit scary in the eyes of Boze and Sue.

"w-what happened to them?" Sue asked softly, Sora sighed before telling the story. a story of 3 kids who entered a cave during a blizzard, they thought they were safe. but little did they know that they were being watched by some monster.

Sue had slight chills listening to the story, she looked into the deep into the dark cave, and froze seeing a huge eye looking back at her. she let a scared, but when everyone looked into the cave, the eye was gone.

"Sue, stop playing around. I personally checkered the save." Sora said calmly, as he held back a laugh, that eye was of course just an illusion spell he made. Sue was unable to look away from the deep cave, Sora returned to telling the story, slowly drawing Sue's attention. this time Boze looked into the cave and saw countless eyes looking at him, he fell to the ground as he panicked to stand up.

"it's just an illusion he is doing," Gajeel said in disdain seeing how these two weaklings easily fell for every trick. Sue and Boze angrily looked at Sora, he couldn't help but laugh. but suddenly, they began shaking, they all stopped playing around as they saw the dark wall slowly mocking, turning over to revealing a huge Vulcan

the Vulcan angrily looked at all 4 of them as they had awakened it from its sleep. but upon seeing Sue, its pupils turned into a heart shape, it reached out and grabbed towards her, but Sora flashed as he aimed to cut the arm of this Vulcan off, but all he could do was knock it to the side as he couldn't cut it.

"... leave," Sora said seriously, he couldn't even cut through the skin of this thing, it was too powerful for them to stay here, they would only get in his way. as the other tried to retreat, the Vulcan punched towards Sora, Sora was barely fast enough to dodge the attack, but the attack caused the ground below to fall in. Sue fell in, Boze tried to catch her but he was in an inch too slow.

Gajeel ignored all of them as he jumped toward the Vulcan as his hand turned into an iron sword, but with a flick, he was sent flying out of the cave. Sora frowned as he looked into the hole in the ground and saw that Sora had used her mirror magic which she entered and came back out, leading her to fly into the sky before falling back down. this lessen the fall, but she was stuck, although she did find an underground cave, but she wanted to return back up to help them.

Sora floated up as he rushed wind magic, the wind sword appeared in his hands as shot towards the Vulcan. the Vulcan roared in angrily, it just lost its future wife and now these brats wanted to continue attacking it. it called its called, releasing a huge clap.

the sound waves from this clap sent Sora who was flying forward-backward, Boze flew out of the cave while Sora's body side was pierced by a sharp sword as he flew backward, Sora coughed up blood, as he noticed there was an invisible man who had appeared behind him. the man kicked Sora down, before running as the Vulcan had set his eyes on him

Sora fell into the hole into the ground, as he was about to land headfirst. two mirrors appeared, which Sora fell into before falling out of the second one and into Sue's hands.

"What happened?" She asked in shock seeing Sora's injuries, Sora coughed up some blood as he saw rested against a wall before taking his shirt off to look at his injuries.

"it was a trap. this whole mission seemed to have been someone trying to kill me. I noticed something was off with the guys who gave the mission, but I couldn't put my finger on it." Sora said as he used water magic to control his blood and slowly began removing the poison which was in his body, after which, he began using healing magic.

the huge Vulcan had no smell, the same for the assassin. it was clear the assassin did something to erase their smell, So, Sira couldn't sense he was there. luck for Sora, as soon as he felt an entering through his back, he was able to act quickly to make sure the sword stabbed below his heart, this caused a huge to appear on his back as he flew upwards as he was being cut, before using iron dragon slayer magic to make sure the sword didn't do any more damaged.

that was a fast reaction speed, as it was less than a second. Sora only had a slit window to do all of this,

"Stop. rest. Boze and Gajeel will get back up. until then rest." Sue said as she forced Sora down seeing he wanted to leave, she was not worried for her elder brother as he could take care of himself, Gajeel was even stronger than him, so they could run away if needed,

Sora sighed as he closed his eyes to rest, as he closed his eyes. he used magic which allowed him to draw his soul out of his body. as his soul flew out and shot off, ignoring Sue who wanted him to return. as Sora flew out, he quickly followed the footprint left behind back that Vulcan, and he soon caught up and saw it was casing the assassin.

Sora flashed as he appeared before the Vulcan, the Vulcan was shocked seeing the soul of a dead man suddenly appear before it. that action lead to its death, as an inviable wind beam shot into its eye, killing it. Sora copied this ape every ability with the clap it did,

"Impossible." the assassin said seeing Sora appearing before him, the spell Sora was using couldn't allow him to go too far from his body. he was drawing energy from his main body with every second he was in this state. this could be considered a lost magic, but Sora made it himself.

"Which guild are you from?" Sora asked as he controlled the snow, which went on to bind him, before he used lightning and wind magic to cut the assassin's hands off. after which, Sora read his memories. spells which allow a person to read another person's memories were common

"Eisenwald... to think my bounty got so high within the dark world," Sora said with a smile as he cut the dark mage's head off, before searching for Boze and Gajeel. seeing them heading back to the city to get back up, Sora turned back to his main body

But upon returning, Sora was speechless seeing Sue kissing his cheeks with a deep blush. she turned and covered her face, not believing she had really done it. but she calmed herself down as no one will ever know want she did. but when she looked up, She froze seeing Sora looking at her.

Sue almost what to die on the spot. a mirror appeared as he jumped into it, and a mirror opened next to Sora as she jumped out and ran out of the cave. Sora was slightly impressed as that was the furthest, she had ever opened a mirror. it was always a few meters, but here see opened it all way from the bottom of the whole and enough for her to travel through. the heart really could bring out one's full potential.

Sora returned to his body and was speechless seeing she left him. Slowly standing up while holding his injuries, he got ready to climb up. but a mirror suddenly opened above him

a rope fell out of the mirror, Sora took it as he slowly climbed up and saw Sue was pulling the rope up to help him climb through.

"Why are you acting so weird?" Sora asked, stunning Sue slightly.

"you didn't see me do it?" She asked with slight hope, Sora only put on a confused look, which made Sue sigh in relief.

"Oh, you mean the kiss," Sora asked with a laugh, making Sue almost want to kick back the hole. but Sora's face twisted in pain as he laughed, Sue quickly helped him up. before they slowly made their way out, the snow had lessened and she saw the body of the dead Vulcan. So, there was no danger.

"... why did you think?" She asked softly as they made their way down the mountain. Sora was confused by her question.

"T-the mission." She asked with a slight blush seeing Sora looking at her. Sora smiled slightly as he thought for a moment.

"what do I have to complain about..." Sora asked with a smile, as he looked at her, making Sue blush grow.

"for one, I was stabbed. I was caught in a blizzard. I fell into a hole. I was poison. let's see..." Sora fell into deep thought, making Sue almost throw him off the mountain

"but thought it all I was with you," Sora said with a gentle smile, which made Sue's face soften slightly. they both looked at each other,

"you might be my bad luck charm," Sora said softly, Sue angrily headbutt Sora, making Sora hold his head in pain, Sue didn't bother to talk to Sora along the way. ignoring Sora's sorry attempts to cheer her up
