"Honey what are you doing? Come sit I will break the wood myself, okay? you know you are sick you shouldn't be stressing yourself. And that is why you have me." Thomas said, collecting the ax from his wife, dropping it on the wood and taking her inside.

Alice smiled as they got inside the house she turned to him and warped her arms around his waist.

"You are such a sweet man, and I am lucky to have you honey." she said as she placed a gentle kiss on his lips.

Thomas kissed her back then broke the kiss, "I know and that is why you need to rest while I break the woods and prepare breakfast for you to eat." He said smiling as he placed his hand around her waist, his other hand stroking her hair gently.

Thomas couldn't help but admire the beauty of his wife. Yes she was younger than him, still the feelings he had for her will never change, he stared at her from her beautiful curly brown hair to her set of hazel eyes and small plumping pink lips. indeed his wife was really beautiful. Thomas looked at her in admiration.

Alice noticed her husband's mood "is anything wrong?"

"No dear. Everything is perfect, I mean you are perfect." He smiled at her

"Oh come on Thomas here we go again." She said, hitting his arm and smiling at what he said.

"Have I ever told you that you are the most beautiful woman I have ever met." He said in a serious tone with his eyes filled with love.

"Yes honey countless times." She said look straight into his eyes.

"And I love you so much Thomas." She said laying her head on his chest and she added her grip on his waist.

"I love you too Alice."

They hug each other for a while before releasing their hold.

"Let me prepare something for you so I

can go deliver the fruit."

"Oh yes I remember."

Thomas gave his wife a head kiss and went to prepare breakfast for her.

Alice smiled as Thomas gave her a head kiss. She sat and watched how he was making breakfast. She could not help but laugh at his little mistakes as he was busy mixing a lot of things together.

"Honey dear." She called.

Thomas turned around to look at his wife.

"You should just let me make breakfast, you know? because you are mixing a lot of things that are not needed in the food." She said laughing as he was still mixing it.

"Hahaha I know dear. don't worry I will soon be done."

Few minutes later Thomas was done with breakfast. He placed it on the table so Alice would eat it. He sat looking at Alice as she was eating, Alice could not help but notice that Thomas wasn't eating his food.

"Honey, why are you not eating your food?" She said with a mouthful.

"Don't worry I will eat later when I am back I promise." he said getting up as he carried a basket full of fruit.

"But you haven't eaten anything dear."

"You worry too much I will be back soon

okay. And to get some rest so you will get well soon." He said as rubbed her hair. Alice nodded in response as he smiled and left the house.

Alice waited for a while making sure he had gone very far before getting dressed.

She wore a plain blue dress, making her move freely with a red cloak.

Soon she left the house and made her way to the forest. She saw Rebecca standing and holding a torch while waiting for her, Rebecca smirked the moment she saw Alice approaching her.

Alice finally got to where Rebecca was standing. She scanned the whole place making sure was not followed or saw if anyone was around.

"Nice to see you Alice." Rebecca smiled.

"Don't I have a choice?" She said still scanning the place.

"Yes you do, dear. Am glad you made this decision and relax it just the both of us that's here."

Alice turns her gaze towards Rebecca.

"And how are you sure about that?" Rebecca said, raising a brow.

"Because I made sure of that. I guess you don't have all day standing here right? So let's make our way into the forest."

Alice breathed in, still having fear in her mind as she looked at the deep forest behind her.

"Scared huh? Then you shouldn't be here because that shows you are not ready to give your husband a child." Rebecca said, making sure to remind Alice about her main reason for coming there.

" Of course not. I am ready." Alice said, trying to prove that she is indeed ready.

"Good then if you are. Let's get going, hold this, we will need it because the forest is dark." Rebecca said, giving her a touch and also taking her to the forest. Alice was clueless on why they would need a touch in the forest when everywhere was still very bright.

Later Alice joined Rebecca too. The two were walking for a while until the weather started changing.
