Checking up on Galatea.

The next morning, after breakfast, I got right onto the day's chores starting with a message to Odin, telling him to get ready to unseal Hela as I made my way to the world of Worm to check up on Galatea.

The city was..... different from what I had expected.

It looked like a storm had passed by here. Telephone poles had crashed in the flooded streets, windows shattered and the people, they looked positively skittish.

Seeing me walk out of the portal, they began to look and point whispers running amok like waves through them.

"GameBreaker....." A man walked over, his eyes hopeful, "Help us, please! There is another alien! Another Scion! It did this to us! You have to save us!"

The man begged, grabbing my hands.

Others began to chime in too.

There had been some deaths, some injuries other had just experienced property damage.

All in all, it wasn't much worse than a minor disaster.

But something didn't sit right.

Why would Galatea do something like this?

I thought I told her to remain invisible while she wrangled the Endbringers?

I frowned.

"Say, this alien....was it a woman with matte black skin and hair, eyes like a miniature milky way? About ye high?" I gestured.

The man nodded.

"Yes! That one! That monster...it killed my daughter. Do you know it?"

Oh, shit.

Let's smooth things over with these people first or else they might start making up conspiracy theories and hunt down Paige and Tats.

Even though I left them here, I still care about them.

I don't want them getting hurt unnecessarily by a misguided mob.

"No. But I saw it in Scion's memories that I downloaded from his corpse.

It's his sister." I lied.

"You have to help us GameBreaker! It's going to kill us all!" A woman cried.

"Yes. Yes, of course. Just give me a....give me like a day. Till the, I ..uh I have something to do." I said and opened a portal above me, jumping through to Paige's roof as I began to connect to the internet and media devices all across the world.

No, not for another livestream.

Just to check up on what's been happening here in the two months and change since I left this world.

First was the appearance of Galatea. She had undone her invisibility and appeared in Berlin, looked up at something.

She stood there, still as a statue for a whole week as governments, gangs and independent groups alike tried to contact her, attempting to make conversation, strike a deal, a kid even offered her a bagel sandwich.

I smiled.

But what happened next drained that smile away.

Something twinkled in the distance, where she had been looking and a blur of blue and green slammed into her shields, shattering them.

An Endbringer? A flying one too, perhaps. Maybe one that manifested up space?

Shame I didn't have views in orbit since Scion destroyed most of the satelites during our battle to stop me from monitoring him.

It wasn't there now though.

I couldn't see it at least.

Maybe she caught it already?

I returned to the footage.

And saw her bat away another blur of green. And another.

Then she moved. Or rather disappeared in a flash as crackling sonic booms rang out as she rushed away.... somewhere.

Where exactly? Brockton Bay.

Because she appeared there zooming across the city in a triangle, shattering windows, causing tidal waves to crash into the city, a veritable natural disaster.

Then, once again, she disappeared with a boom, as the clouds above the city dispersed at the force of her movement.

After that, there was no mention of her. Anywhere.

I pulled out my locator and input her ID.

No response.

Hmm.... Was she in a pocket dimension, fighting an Endbringer? Or maybe she chased it to another nearby reality?

Just to be sure though, I checked her vivre card back on the ship.

Since a vivre card can track the owner's health and location autonomously, I used them in my locator system as a backup. Though if the owner is outside of their host reality they can only keep tabs on the health of the person as I found out.

I had her make one before I left, just to keep an eye on her health.

It looked a bit charred at the edges but it was recovering slowly.

Which means she must have gotten hurt in the fight against the Endbringers and is now recovering.

Bad fight huh? Must've been a strong Endbringer.

I didn't exactly know where the rest of the Endbringers were or what they were capable of, so I can't tell if there's one powerful enough to hurt an entity.

But still.....

Guess there's no reason to worry after all.

I took back my power and looked over at the door down the roof, debating whether to go and meet Paige down in her apartment.

It had been a while and....I kinda missed her. The cuddles, the little kisses, how she smelled of strawberries, the mind-blowing sex, and most of all, her cute, enchanting voice.

I stood there for a minute, conflicted.

What was I hoping for?

I didn't know. But I knew this.

When I want something, I go and get it!

No hesitation.

I took a deep breath, opened the door and made my way down the stairs, coming to a stop at her door.

Maybe a little hesitation.

I sighed.

What was I expecting?

Not some loving, certainly. I was about to go contain Hela in a bit after all.

No point doing the diddly so close to a fight.

But now that I am here, might as well give her a visit. I did say I'd be around every once in a while.

Alright.

I nodded and knocked.

Nothing.

Weird. Paige is very much a homebody. She's likely not going to go out. She even shopped at night if possible.

I knocked again, and the door clicked open on it's own.

No. It broke loose.

I entered the house to the crunching of glass, alarmed and scanned the room.

Broken glass was scattered all across the floor, furniture torn and toppled over.

Did someone rob her? Or did the government kidnap her for her shard?

There was no blood spilled anywhere.

I checked the other rooms.

No blood or signs of struggle. Almost as if it had been abandoned.

No. The government wouldn't dare. And this level of disturbance....no way a government squad could do this without bloodshed.

Immediately I checked through government databases and camera feeds in the vicinity.

Yeah. It wasn't the government.

Maybe they had a teleporter, but ....I doubt it.

There was nothing on her in any government database.

So it was something else.

Or maybe, she was just with Tats when this, whatever it was, happened.

With a thought, I opened a portal to Tattletale's villa.

Entering the living room, I found the same situation. Abandoned home. Furniture toppled. Like a storm had-

A realisation struck.

Galatea!

I checked her flight path again and it was all the confirmation I needed.

Immediately, I found the other end of the triangle. Some motel outside town. But even there, I found nothing.

Weird.

If it was anyone else, I'd have suspected betrayal but Galatea is literally programmed with undying love and loyalty for me and my family.

Then what could have forced her to do this?

I looked around once more and finally spotted something on the floor in a corner of the room.

A pregnancy test.

A positive pregnancy test.

And it all clicked into place.

Paige was pregnant. With my child.

How, I didn't know.

I had used protection....unless she....no. That's gross. She wouldn't do tha-?

Oh right. She's a yandere. She would definitely do that.

Shit.

Maybe Paige was visiting Tats when an Endbringer tried threatening Paige and Galatea took her in an attempt to save my future kid?

Tattletale probably went on vacation after that, given her nature.

Or bought another house with a bunker.

Even odds on that.

She certainly had the money after I paid her off generously and it was none of my business what she does.

But that didn't explain why Galatea went to some random motel outside town?

Maybe it had something to do with her Path To Victory shard?

Hmm.....Well, at least if Paige is with Galatea, she'll be safe.

I shrugged.

And while I don't like getting sperm jacked, when my kid is born, I can always just take it from Paige and get on with my life.

And I'm sure Galatea will report back once she's done here.

I sighed in relief and opened a portal to Niflheim in the MCU.

Hel awaits.

______________________

The regular chapter for Tuesday. Sorry it was a bit late. I fell asleep after eating dinner yesterday.

MC checks up on Galatea and finds out that he's been sperm jacked.

Oof.

Oughta teach him not to go for yanderes all the time.

But it's so much worse than that too!

Much worse than the MC seems to realize and MC will pay for his ignorance and optimism in the future as his house of cards tumbles to the ground.

If you want spoilers on what really happened with Galatea and Paige (And no, Galatea did not betray MC and she's not mind controlled.), then comment on this paragraph.

Though I'd advise you to wait and watch what happens.

Next extra chapter at 400 powerstones.

Till then, thanks for reading!

See ya!
