“You’re working too hard,” Merrick said late one evening when Ryan came home from the restaurant looking beat.
“It was one of those nights when it seemed like everyone and their brother decided to eat out, and do it at our restaurant,” Ryan replied, dropping down beside Merrick on the sofa.
Merrick put his arm around him, stroking his hair when Ryan rested his head on Merrick’s shoulder. “Have you considered the idea of quitting, or at least cutting back on you days, there?”
