Since entering this world, Alfin had struggled.
First, it was food. Then came shelter, then security, and for those first six months. Rarely did he obtain any of it and go to sleep with his stomach full.
Being the lowest of the low taught him the struggle of the common man in this world. This was not Earth where jobs were abundant for the skilled and charities were helping those in need.
Though not all of it is perfect. But it was no way near the struggles in the world of Nirvana.
And after the players came and gave him a sense of reason to live on. Alfin learned a new lesson.
Never underestimate a so-called NPC.
These were real people with real experience and understanding. The higher the rank of a person, the more resolute and astute they will be in their actions. Even a donkey will stop razing grass after a few lashes from its master. The same was true for the monsters who had experienced countless struggles in their life.
