Wednesday, he decided it was time to do something about seeing a bit more of Craig. It had less to do with their being casual friends, and more to do with his growing attraction to the man. An attraction he had the feeling wasn’t reciprocated, but he needed to find out.
It’s probably too soon. He’s still getting over Scott’s betrayal, as it were. He insists they weren’t in love, but I’m betting it was damned close to it, no matter how much as he denies it. If I were in his shoes right now, would I be upset if some new guy found me interesting? A question he couldn’t answer, because he’d never been there.
“Hey,” Kevan said when Craig answered his phone. Kevan could hear voices in the background. Customers, he presumed.
“Hi,” Craig replied, sounding a bit harried.
“I’ll make this quick. Are you doing anything tonight, after work?”
“Other than finding the closest bar and getting roaring drunk?” Craig said with a bark of laughter.
“Bad day?”
