Chapter 36: Namikaze Clan

"And the last one is quite special. Her name is Namikaze Hisoka, she is my grandmother. Yes father, she is your mother, I don't know how, but she became the victim of time dilation, where only three years have passed for her and more than three decades have passed in the real world. She came to find you in Konoha and heard about you becoming the fourth Hokage and even died."

Both Kushina and Minato were stunned. Minato was supposed to be an orphan but apparently he was not. And both of them understood that from her demeanor, Hisoka was not a simple woman.

"But how is that possible, I ...." before Minato can put forward his doubts, Hisoka interrupted him.

"Long story short, it was war time, Namikaze clan was weakened and very few members remained after an accident happened last century. In order to save you, I dropped you off to the supposed strongest village's orphanage before returning for other clan members, but it was already too late and some shinobis were pillaging our settlement. The clan elders decided to take a huge gamble by opening the ancient formation and everyone was sucked in the spatial turbulence. Few were shredded to pieces while the rest were given safe shelter in some spatial nodes.

I was also trapped for 3 years there, but I got food in stasis seals for years, so I survived. While I was trapped there, I studied space-time and mastered the law. But I had not mastered it enough and my food was running out, I only had two options, one was to learn senjutsu to fulfill my need for food with natural energy, this was not full proof but at least it will let me live more years. Second was to have some sort of enlightenment to master space laws to an extent of tearing open a passage to return to the real world." At that time she took a pause.

People present there had many questions. Hisoka also made this dramatic pause, leaving them some time to contemplate.

"But none of the above happened, you got out using a third option, didn't you." Spoke Minato. He was a sage, although not a full sage, but he can feel if someone has mastered senjutsu, which he didn't get from Hisoka. And his intuition tells him that she hasn't mastered space laws, he might not know what the so called laws are but he has an idea from its name.

"As expected from my son. You are as intelligent as me. Well you are behind me or even behind your son, but you are in the league." Others chuckled hearing this and Minato can only give a wry smile.

"Well, you are correct, what happened was the third option, a miracle or in exact terms, external stimulation to space-time barrier. I don't know what or who did this, but it was blunt or crude tearing of the space and I was able to jump back to this world based on just my novice mastery of laws."

"When I came back, more than 3 decades have passed, couple of ninja world wars, Uzumaki, Uchiha and Senju clans were destroyed, each having only few members surviving. I thought of looking for my son and if possible joining his family, albeit late but I at least hoped for it, being alone in this world kinda sucked." Hisoka's tone became quite low and melancholic by the end and Naruto can understand her sentiment. He was the same in his previous life.

"Well, I did find interesting books, written by Naruto Uzumaki, I felt that at least there is one intelligent Uzumaki."

"Hey!" This time it was Kushina who interfered, she considers herself quite intelligent. Also there are other intelligent members, like Mito. But before she can voice out, Hisoka spoke about them, "Listen, Uzumakis have the potential to become the strongest clan, at least in terms of defense or their home turf, no one should be able to beat them. But even during my time or before, they never weaponized your sealing skills efficiently. Sure there were some deadly seals, Namikaze clan also had some secret dealing with them, but since our clan is a secret and all, they never knew about us.

They had the capability to use the natural forces to wreak havoc on their enemies based on the strategic location of Uzushio but they never did that, they were just a bunch of happy go lucky guys. If I recall, when I was a child, I went to visit Uzushiogakure, and there were 20 fuinjutsu grandmasters and five were busy helping Konoha with their sealing and all. If you didn't win even after that.."

Seeing that things were about to get ugly Naruto decided to change the topic, "Cough! Can you tell me what is Namikaze clan, why it is a secret?"

Hisoka also understood Naruto's intentions and decided to change the topic but Kushina didn't want to. Hisoka is her mother in law but still she wasn't satisfied so she directly interrupted.

"Naru-chan" Naruto felt weird being called like that but she was his mother and he needed to settle with that." You are also a fuinjutsu grandmaster, based on your sealing skills, they might be even better than mine since you developed a new script. Do you think what your grandmother ..."

"Big Sister"

"What?"

"He will call me big sister, I am too young to be called grandmother."

"But..."

"I am 22, younger than you."

Naruto also had an embarrassed look on his face, "Well, to be honest mom, I have weaponized this mansion I am living in. Just using seals, it has the attack power to destroy whole of Konoha and defense to withstand thousands of S-rank Jutsu. Even Biju Dama cannot destroy my mansion."

This information shocked everyone present. Kushina now really thought that she was just another fuinjutsu master nothing to boast about. Minato was also stunned.

"Wait, did you say Uchihas have been destroyed?" Minato now picked a crucial point from Hisoka's story but before Hisoka can reply, Naruto cut her off,"Well that is the part of the story I will tell later, now I want to know more about Namikaze clan." Minato didn't mind. It has nothing to with Naruto, he is more concerned about Naruto's condition, but at least he is living in a mansion, things cannot be too bad right?

"Well, where was I, yes I wanted to meet this Uzumaki whose books I liked, and also meet my son, and coincidentally they both live in Konoha. I made a trip here but after collecting information, I got to know that my son became the fourth Hokage and also died during nine tails rebellion. He did not have a family also, so I was dejected and before moving out off Konoha, I decided to meet this Uzumaki, from him I knew he was quite strong, stronger than me and he is also the son of fourth Hokage who apparently no one is aware of.

"Sure, but you would have to tell me about your weird powers."

"Oh haki? Sure."

"What is Haki?" asked Kushina

"Well, it is power of will that I am able to use. I will tell you about it in detail later mom." Well Naruto did jump from mother to mom quite quickly and everyone picked up on it but they were happy about it.

"So Namikaze clan, well most of the clan history and records can only be read either by the matriarch or patriarch of the clan, but I have sneaked into the library few times being the daughter of patriarch was quite good in those regard.

Well our clan dates back to 1 million years ago.."
