Chapter 68

Jane sat quietly on the as she watched him work, he looked so elegant and professional he was extremely handsome, he seemed very involved with his work

A lot of thoughts ran through her mind and head, she could not wrap her head around the reason why Chris had kissed her, he already apologized so she didn't want to think too much about it but she couldn't get her mind off it and anytime she thinks about it, her cheek just flame up and her body becomes hot in a certain way

Chris also was having difficulty finishing up with his work, he would have finish up everything in less than an hour but here he was struggling to do it in almost three hours, he can't seem to get that moment out of his mind, he felt this sort of peace when he was around her and he couldn't explain it ' damn what is wrong with me these days, why am I thinking stupid thoughts and behaving weirdly, I can't loose focus,I have a reason for coming back home ' he thought

Chris knew he wouldn't be able to finish with his work, especially when she's at arm's length, the only thing he could think of was stripping those clothes off her and making her scream his name ' damn he shouldn't be having such thoughts ' he scolded himself

Chris shut down his system and stood up, he needed to go home and have a cold bath, he really needed to cool down before he does something stupid again

he looked over to where Jane was and found out that she was sleeping already, ' she must have been so tired ' he thought, he walked over to where she was and bent down close to her, he subconsciously kissed her forehead

he only does this for Angel, so why was he doing it for her, at the thought of Angel, anger well up inside him again, come to think of it Grace had earlier stated that she came to the boutique earlier today, how dare she show up again, he really needed to put her in her place

and he would have love to start by firing that father of hers but his dad will not allow him, he really can't wait to deal with them, he would make sure she pays for everything she did to him and made him do someone else

Chris was deep in thought when he heard something drop on the floor, he turned to look at it and it turned out to be a phone

he picked it up and saw a picture of a small boy on it, the boy looked very cute and adorable, and he couldn't help but smile, and for some unknown reason he felt drawn to the little boy, who could the boy be Chris thought

Chris opened the phone, luckily it was without password, he checked through the phone and he could only find pictures of Jane, an older lady and the little boy on the wallpaper, there were no pictures of Zain or any other guy, does that mean he wasn't her boyfriend and it was someone else

but there was no picture of someone else, he was even more confused, ' was the little boy her brother, was that their mother but she was living with Zain right? ' he thought

he couldn't come to a conclusion, he just slipped the phone back into her bag, come to think of it, he didn't like that phone, he should get her a new one

he picked his phone and made a phone call, "get me a new phone ASAP, the latest kind of phone" he said and hung up

he went back to where Jane was lying, she moved a bit she seems a bit uncomfortable, he helped her placed her neck more on the couch, his eyes landed on her lips again, he felt like kissing the life out of that lips

Chris was still deep in his own thoughts when he heard a knock on the door

he quickly stood up from the position he was before, he can't risk anyone finding him like that and why can't the person go through Cat instead

"come in" he said

Jack came in "Mr Christopher it's way past the closing time, just said to inform you incase you forgot" Jack said

"I will be out in a minute, wait outside" Chris said in his usual cold voice

"alright" Jack said, bowed his head and left the office

Chris was puzzled as to what to do, he didn't want to wake her up but he wouldn't dare to carry her out himself

Chris laughed softly at himself, "what the hell am I thinking?" he muttered silently ' this maid of his was really going to drive him crazy, she keeps making him think of doing crazy things '

he didn't have a choice but to wake her up

Jane woke up from her dreamland, she was dreaming of getting married to Christopher just now

waking up and seeing him so close to her made her blush uncontrollably, ' it must be that kiss ' she thought

seeing her blush like that turned Chris on, he couldn't help but groaned a bit to suppress the rising urge in him ' does she even know what she's doing '

"stop doing that Jane" Chris warned her

Jane not understanding anything looked puzzled

"uhhnn what did I do sir" she asked

"stop blushing like that" he said

Jane even blushed more

Chris groaned again ' damn she did it again '

Chris covered the space between them and moved closer to Jane, Jane blushed even more ' was he going to kiss her again ' she thought

"you are awakening the little monster I've managed to tame for five whole years, you need to stop blushing like that in front of me, okay?" Chris explained

Jane was still trying to understand what he said, so she could only nod

"good so let's go" he said and made his way outside the office

Jane followed him, seeing that they left the office, Jack went into the office to retrieve Chris's bag and lock up the office and followed after them
