Chapter 32

Almost two hours later they got home, Jane got down from the car and headed straight to the house, she wanted to say thanks, but she didn't want to talk to him, she was still very angry with him, and she doubts if she would ever forgive him, she stormed into the house within even looking back

Zain knew better than to follow behind her, he just left to go in, ' she would calm down after some days ' he thought, ' but what if she doesn't? ' his mind screamed at him

with that thought Zain's mood went from bad to worse, he really likes this girl no damn he loves her and he can't stand for her to hate him so much not when he was finally making headway with her

Zain packed his car very well and went into the house with his hands in his pocket and his head down, he was really upset and angry at himself

Zain got in and noticed his sister was in the kitchen she was probably preparing for dinner already, his sister loves to cook a lot, her food were always heavenly and he always looked forward to tasting her meals, but not today at least not right now, he feels like dipping himself in the ocean, if not that he was a man he would have been crying right now, and damn be badly feels like it

Juliet noticed someone came in, she thought it was Harrison "he's not supposed to be home yet" she said to herself, she quickly rushed out of the kitchen to meet him but to her suprise it was her younger brother

and what more he looked really upset and lost in thought "hey Zain you good?" Juliet asked, Zain looked up to his sister but didn't say anything he felt so ashamed to tell her what happened between he and Jane, or rather what he did to her, he thought

"hey Zain are you okay, why did you come back so early, do you feel sick?" Juliet asked worriedly

"am fine" Zain said and walked past her straight into his room

Juliet felt a little puzzled, she didn't know what to think "he's been having mood swings lately, I just hope he's really fine" she muttered to herself and went back into the kitchen to continue what she was doing

Jane got inside the her pulled her heels, she changed her clothes as well and wore a baggy jeans and white tank top and a flat slippers, she might not have expensive and luxurious clothes and accessories but she still always look beautiful in whatever she wears

she took out her phone from the purse and scanned through it, it was already past four and Gloria had already called her four times, she dialed her and it went straight to voicemail, gloria must be busy with something she thought, she took her phone with her and left the room

she went into the kitchen but found nobody there, she decided to check Chris's room, she opened the door and as she thought both Mrs Whitney and Chris were there

Chris spotted his mother and called her "mom you are back, how was the interview" he asked enthusiastically

Jane giggled, her son was really sweet, he didn't forget about the interview, he must have been praying for her all along "the interview went well my darling, am sure with your prayers mummy will get the job" she said

"yay mummy is going to get the job" Chris shouted happily

"good afternoon Mrs Whitney" Jane greeted

"good afternoon child, how was the interview" Mrs Whitney asked, she had been praying to God that she gets the job, nothing will make her happier at the moment, so she was dead curios as to how it went

"it was good, I think I have a pretty good chance at getting the job, the madam of the house says she likes me, and the butler was also friendly towards me" Jane said, she wanted to continue and also narrate how big and magnificent the house was when Mrs Whitney cut her off

"and Zain, did he go with you as promised, did you two get back together?" she was dying to know if Zain had made his move on Jane and told her how he feels for her, they had spent some alone time today, so he must have definitely said something

Mrs Whitney noticed the change in her mood when she mentioned Zain, she immediately got worried

"Jane did something happen to Zain, is he okay" Mrs Whitney asked

' of course he's okay, am the one who is not ' she replied herself in her mind

she wanted to explain everything that happened to Mrs Whitney when she noticed the worried look on Chris's face, he must be really worried about his favorite uncle, she didn't want the boy to hear what he had done, she didn't want to paint him bad and spoil the relationship between them, so she decided to keep calm and tell Mrs Whitney when they are all alone

"Zain is perfectly fine, we came in together, he's in house, so you have nothing to worry about" she said and faked a smile

Mrs Whitney noticed the fake smile and wanted to say something when Jane spoke again

"we will talk later about the interview Mrs Whitney" she said with her eyes trying to communicate the latter part of the sentence she did not say

Mrs Whitney quickly understood her and replied her "oh okay we will talk about it while you help me prepare dinner"

"alright then I will leave you two to finish up with the homework, but please be fast, am really hungry" Jane said pouting her mouth like a small spoilt child

"alright just leave you are distracting us" Mrs Whitney complained

Jane muttered a ' whatever ' and left the room to go to her own room
