"well you see ma'am I didn't attend college so I couldn't get an office job, and it was the only available job at the time and I really needed to make money, but I quit the job as soon as I heard that there was an opening here in the mansion I would really appreciate if I get this job, I promise to do my job well and behave myself" Jane carefully explained

Maria seemed pleased with her answer and just simply nodded, she asked her series of other questions like where and who she lived with, after what seem like a long while the interview finally came to an end

"what did you say your name was again?" Maria asked "Jane" she replied

"Jane" Maria repeated softly "I like you Jane, a call will be placed to you if you got the job, good luck" Maria added and left the room before Jane could even say anything

"thank you ma'am" Jane said after her, even though she might not here her

few minutes Maria left, Charles came in and escorted Jane out, "how did it go?" he asked her

"she said she likes me, that's a good thing, I just really hope I get the job, I badly need it" she said pouting her mouth

Charles felt she was hilarious and almost laughed "like the madam said you will be contacted if you pass the test, goodbye" Charles said and went back into the main house, only then did Jane realize they were already outside the main house, she muttered her thanks and followed the bodyguard back to the gate

she didn't forget to savour every moment she was spending,the house was really beautiful, she might never come back here, she thought, so she was going to put every detail of the house in her head, so she could tell Mrs Whitney when she gets back home

then her mind drifted back to her friend Cassie, if only she was here with her now, she knows she would have also loved to see this beautiful house, it has always been both their dreams to live in such a big and charming house, it didn't even matter whether they owned it or not, so far they wake up to see it every morning

' oh Cassie I really hope to see you soon ' she thought in her mind

she and the bodyguard soon got to the gate and Jane waved goodbye to each and every one of them and left

when she got outside, she saw that Zain was still waiting for her, the memory of what had happened flushed through her and she suddenly felt angry, she was not the type to always get angry but she just couldn't help it especially when she's been taken advantage of like this, just like what happened five years back

she walked passed his car with no intention of stopping, she doesn't mind if she would trek back home, or even beg for money to get back home, it doesn't matter, there was no way she was entering that car

Zain was lost in his thought when he saw someone that looks like Jane walk past his car, he quickly snapped back into reality and sat up, the person was indeed Jane

' she really meant what she said the other time '

he quickly ran out of the car and walked towards her almost running, he didn't mind, it would take almost a twenty minute walk before they could come in contact with anyone, so he didn't bother about anyone seeing him running after a girl looking distressed, the Smiths were really secretive, he thought, they even built a house in a very seclusive area

"Jane please wait up" he called out to her, no matter how fast she walked he was still the man and he caught up with her in no time

he caught her hand which forced her to stop, she didn't have any choice than to look at him

"what do you want Zain let go of my hand right now" she said sternly, it was obvious that she was still angry at him

"Jane please am really sorry, I really didn't mean to do that, you have to please believe me, I honestly don't know what came over, please just believe me"

"it's okay but just let go of my hand, am done with the interview and am really tired, I want to go home" Jane said

"then please come in the car, I will take you home, I brought you here, it's only right if I take you home, you don't even know the way home, I would be crazy to let you go home on your own, what if something were to happen to you Mrs Whitney will chop my head off" he explained trying to appear humorous just to lessen the tension between them

but it seems his trick didn't work, because Jane didn't say a word and she seems to be contemplating whether or not to agree to what he was saying

"I promise you I won't say as much as a word, not to even think of touching you, I swear" he quickly added

Jane looked at him, he sounded truly sincere and sorry, and he was right after all, she didn't know anywhere here and she might get lost and if anything were to happen to her, Mrs Whitney and Christopher would worry to death, and she won't even be able to get the job, besides she of all people know the consequences of wandering alone in the streets, she sighed and concluded

Jane didn't say anything to him and just walked past him, she went straight to the car and sat down at the passenger's sit

seeing that she got into the car, Zain felt relived he was finally able to convince her, now he just hopes she would forgive him and stop being cold and distant towards him, not like there were close anyways but she had begun to earn up to him lately and he just stupidly spoilt it, she must think the only he wants is just have sex with her, Zain sighed and walked to the car

he got in "thanks for listening to me" Zain said, he didn't know why he was thanking her but he just felt the need to

she didn't say anything but looked outside the window instead, Zain wanted to say something else but he reconsidered, he didn't want to piss her off again, seeing that she had fastened her seat belt, he did same and zoomed off
