Mother's Pain

"Hey Aaron! Are you still sleeping?" Sharon said as she walked into her son's room, " Won't you go to school?"She added.

"Mummmm.... It's Saturday! Aaron replies sleepy as he rolls on his bed. "You always do this, weekends are the only time I have to rest, mum... But somehow you won't let me". He said as he stood up heading to his bathroom.

"Oh sorry dear... I didn't remember, I think it's an aging thing to forget, well since you are awake why don't you come downstairs and run some errands for me". She yelled from the door and went downstairs.

"He actually thinks I forgot it's the weekend, if I leave him he will sleep all day and start walking around in the night". She soliloquizes as she goes downstairs.

"He's so different from his brother, my Sean is a very remarkable and hard-working boy, no matter how tough school is he still has time to help me out during weekends and still it doesn't stop him to top his class", She continued to soliloquize. I wonder how he is right now.

"Talking to yourself again". Aaron said from behind which startled her.

"You scared me son"... She said, still holding her chest.

"Only those who have done something wrong should be  scared". He grinned as he sat close to her.

"So mum... What are you afraid of? Did you do something or said something you shouldn't?" Aaron said, teasing her.

"W..what do you mean... I didn't say anything..." She replied avoiding his gaze.

"What did you say about being remarkable and brilliant?" Aaron asked.

"I didn't say brilliant, I said hardworking". She replied.

"Ahhh.... I caught you! He said smiling.

"You were comparing us right?" He asked.

"No I wasn't... I was just... stating the obvious..okay fine! I know it's wrong to compare you both okay but I always wish you were a little like your brother". She said bluntly.

"Mum, relax! I'm not angry and you're right! I'm nothing like my brother, his everything is not, that's why he is my role model..." He added as he relaxed comfortably on the seat.

"I want to be a celebrity just like him". He said, smiling at himself.

"What's that! You won't dare! She yelled at him.

"Why?! Aaron asked anxiously.

"You want us to quarrel about the same matter all the time right!? She said angrily. 

"I will never allow you to be a celebrity!" She yelled.

"Please calm down mum, " Aaron said as he stood up from his seat and sat close to her.

"I don't understand why you don't want me to follow in my brother's footsteps, you always say he's very remarkable so why can't I be like him in every aspect of life?" He asked as he put his hands on her shoulders.

"Yes your brother is indeed remarkable, but when was the last time you saw him here, because of him we moved down to LA but still he doesn't come to visit us". She said sadly.

"Now you too? Nooo you will go and forget me too". She added.

"First of all, Sean hasn't and will never forget you mum... Aaron said, still holding her shoulders. How about we give him a call right now" Aaron said as he picked up his phone but dropped it immediately.

"No, let's use yours so he will understand the urgency". He smiles as he takes his mum's phone and dialed his number.

"Uhmmm your phone is ringing". I said pointing at his pocket and bringing us back to reality.

"Oh yea... I know...". Sean said and cleared his throat.

"Hello mum! Sean said smiling.

"Oh so you remember you have a mother". Sharon asked. 

"Mum... What's the problem, I hope you are well? Is there a problem? Please tell me?" Sean asked anxiously.

"I'm fine dear, just come home for a while, i want to see you". Sharon said.

Sean smiles "okay mum, I will come home this weekend, I promise. I have so many things I want to tell you". Sean added.

"Okay... I will be waiting for my son". She hung up...

"How did it go? Is he coming this weekend?" Aaron asked curiously.

"Yes he is, I'm glad. He said he has a lot to talk to me about, he sounded happy and alive on phone, unlike him...." Sharon said happily.

"Wow!! He's really coming this weekend? Wow! I need to get ready". Aaron added as he stood up excitedly and took off.

"Get ready for what? I hope it's not what I am thinking about Aaron!! I don't want to see your friends here. I mean it!!" Sharon yelled but he had already gone.

My little boy Sean is now grown up, I'm really happy he was able to get over that trauma, although he's not over it completely, she thought.

Flashback starts.

"Mum!! I swear I didn't do it, I didn't do anything I promise mum". Little Sean said.

"Mum you have to believe me, I don't know what happened and I can't remember how I got there". Little Sean cried as he held onto his mum.

"Principal, I believe my son, he will never do such a thing he's been accused of ''. Sharon  said with tears dripping down her cheeks. 

"Madam, he was caught red handed in the same class as the girl and he was half naked and the girl's clothes were torn". The principal said.

"Nooo it wasn't me I swear mum!! Little Sean said crying.

Sharon looked at him with pain in her eyes, held his hands and brought him closer to comfort but Sean immediately moved back.

"Please don't touch me! Am dirty!! Sean said anxiously as he moved back.

"Anyways the father of the girl has refused to press charges, according to him to save the daughters pride,  but am afraid Sean will have to be expelled from this school". The principal said bluntly.

"Expelled! But he's almost done, his finals are almost here for his college entrance". Sharon said.

"It's okay mum... I can't stay here either. Please let's go. Sean said as he walked out of the office.

As they were leaving everyone was just staring at them. 

"Is he not a rapist? They whispered..

"I thought he was cool and handsome, I can't believe I had a crush on a rapist. Disgusting!!! 

"Mum! I want to leave here please. I want to take a bath, but I am so dirty. Please mum let's babe fast". Sean said.

"Okay son, I will get the car now just wait here I will be fast". Sharon said, rushing away.

"Stop!! Stop throwing me things! I didn't do anything!! Stoppp!!! Sean keeps yelling as the other students surround him and throw things at him.

"Hey! All of you should get out of here now! Sharon said, shielding him. Then pulled him into the car and drove off.

They drove a little distance in silence.

"Mum! Please let's leave! Let's leave this city for another one". Sean said in tears.

My boy has finally grown and is better than before but when can I hug my boy again?? She thought and shut her eyes tightly.
