Yong faltered in his steps when he saw the Mei family giggling as they sunbathed. He couldn't hear what they were saying but he could see how happily Jiaying was laughing. She must really not like him to be this happy after he told her he wasn't going to bother he again. He had spent the night feeling hurt and frustrated while thinking about what had transpired between them and contemplating whether or not he should go back and plead with her. For a moment he had even been full of himself enough to think he must have hurt her and she would be upset. But it was obvious she had meant all that she said to him about never wanting someone like him. It was probably best if he returned to his suite and stayed there until it was time for his business meeting. Yong decided as he turned to return to his suite.
