With his eyes opened wide, he saw the condition of Ramero's jail cell in horror.

Out of the two hooded figures who are tasked to kill Ramero, both of them are dead. One is lying on the ground near the iron bars with blood coming out of his nose, while the others are pinned on the wall with a short sword to the heart.

From the looks of it, the short sword also pierces the wall.

Blood painted the inside of the jail cell, and the sharp stench stabs Captain Baldates' nose.

Ramero who is leaning on the wall sitting raises his face up to look at the guard who is completely shocked, he then innocently said, "I was sleeping but both of these people came inside my cell and tries to kill me, I had to put them down"

"W-Wha-" Captain Baldates stutters upon hearing this, his mind is still processing the situation.

Clenching his jaw out of anger albeit trying to hide it, Captain Baldates forcefully nodded his head, "Is that so, then I'll handle this. Don't say anything about this or our school will have a bad reputation, you got that?"

"Yes, I won't tell a soul" Ramero replied shortly, there was no expression on his face.

After he said that the guard as Ramero had expected started to take the two bodies away, he then tossed Ramero a clean towel and told him to clean the blood off. Without saying anything, he instantly did that.

'Don't worry, I'm not going to say anything that might make you fired' Ramero smiled evilly.

Just as Captain Baldates was about to leave, Ramero stopped him and asked with an innocent expression, "If my sword is finished being sharpened, bring it back to me, please. Also, can I have those two short swords? These fools are the ones messing with me, at the very least I can keep their weapons don't you think?"

Upon hearing this, Captain Baldates stopped on his track and looked at Ramero in disbelief.

Suppressing the anger from seeing the innocent look on Ramero's face, Captain Baldates left the two short swords before he left to call the other Gladiators that he brought away a little while ago. Ramero cleans the blood inside his cell unwillingly.

But then a guard appears in front of his cell, and from a glance, he instantly recognizes him.

It's easy to tell through the eyes underneath the helmet.

It was the man that wanted to break him out, the one that knows the previous Ramero.

While looking from the outside of his jail cell, the man was stunned when he saw the blood smeared inside Ramero's jail cell. "D-Did you kill the two assassins that came in here to kill you?" he asked to make sure.

Ramero didn't even glance at him and nodded his head, "Yes."

Upon hearing his answer the man sucked in a cold breath, he came here to help Ramero but it seems he doesn't need any help. Both of the assassins are not Mages, but they are trained to kill which makes them a hard opponent.

But from seeing Ramero's perfect condition, it seems he takes them down with ease.

Aside from that, the man also looked at Ramero in confusion, 'When did he become like this? Not only did he gets very strong, but it was also him who always said despised killing. But now he just killed two people...' the man thought with a frown.

No matter how he looks at it, Ramero seems different. But he understands why.

Out of nowhere while the man is still surprised that Ramero managed to take care of himself, he saw a hand stretched out of the jail cell. The hand's movement was fast, the hand grabbed his chest plate before pulling him towards the iron bars.

Clang!

"Why do the Wynnarica Family want to kill me?" a voice crept into his ears.

At the moment when the man snapped out of his daze, he realized that Ramero already pinned him to the iron bars strongly. The man tries to pull away but was surprised by the strength Ramero is using, 'Am I mistaken? Is this really Ramero? I don't remember him being this strong...' he thought in surprise.

Looking at Ramero's eyes he saw a fierce glint that is foreign to him.

Ramero whom he once knew has never had this kind of expression on his face, this is completely a new side that he was seeing. A side that has never been used by Ramero, 'It's only natural for him to become like this, especially to what he went through' the man thought.

Putting on more strength in pulling the man towards the iron bars, the man then replied.

"I told you before, it's about Merona. But you refused to hear me out" the man said, his face started to hurt as he got pulled so hard against the iron bars. Any more than this then he'll definitely get hurt.

Ramero's expression darkened, he really doesn't want to be involved. "Who is Merona?"

"Are you joking with me? It's Merona! M-E-R-O-N-A!" the man replied in annoyance, in his view, there was no way that Ramero forgot about Merona. Little does he know, the Ramero talking with him right now is not the Ramero he once knew.

Showing that he's serious, Ramero pulls the man even stronger.

Feeling the increasing strength, the man instantly added, "Stop! Stop! I'm not joking, I'm being serious. How can you forget about your own little sister? That's just dumb except you lost your memory or something"

"My sister...?" Ramero mutters with a frown, it's clear now that this is a family problem.

Aside from that he also wondered how did he get here in the first place, especially with the Knight's Rancor inside his veins, the previous Ramero must have had some enemies. But now he knows that it's a family problem.

Glancing back at the man, he then asked again, "Who are you?"

"It's me! Lucas, your brother!" the man that claimed to be Lucas replied and opens his helmet.

Ramero looks at the supposed brother's face in front of him with a frown.

Out of everyone that he has seen in this world which is mostly Gladiators, Lucas looked like a spoiled brat with short brown messy hair and very light jade eyes that gives him a look of sharpness wherever he gazes.

Face-wise he looks amiable, in fact too amiable which probably makes him a target of a bully.

Looking at Ramero's eyes that are inspecting his face as if it was the first time, Lucas widened his eyes realizing that what he joked about seems to be true, "D-Don't tell me... did you really lose your memory? If you don't then how can you forget about Merona and me"

Upon hearing this, Ramero lets go of Lucas before turning around.

"I'm not the same person anymore, so don't drag me into your problems. I don't care about Merona, I just want to be left alone in this school in peace" Ramero declared out loud, he has no intention of seeking his new body's past.

Although Lucas and Merona were technically his blood, he doesn't care about them.

But as soon as he said that he felt his chest burning for some reason, it was like someone is stabbing his heart with a burning sword. 'My body is reacting...' Ramero thought, but he soon knitted his eyebrows together, 'This is my body now, I will not let it control me'

Just as went back to sit and leans on the wall, his eyes widened seeing Lucas glaring at him.

Ramero's eyes widened not because of the glare, but because of Lucas' eyes that are blazing with actual fire! "Out of everyone, she believed in you the most. I know that she's waiting for you to somehow save her, even though she knows that you're not a Mage"

"Now even though you're obviously stronger, you decided not to help?! Coward!" he shouted.

Even after the shout Ramero didn't react and just sits on his spot with his eyes closed, this angers Lucas more but he already heard the sound of footsteps approaching the hallway. Reluctantly, Lucas slammed his fist on the iron bars before dashing away.

Clang!

Sensing that Lucas is already gone, Ramero sighs lightly.

Although the situation Merona is in should be dire, he doesn't need to bear that responsibility.

The passionate anger that Lucas showed clearly indicates that he was expecting Ramero to help him, but Ramero's answer completely caught him off guard. 'How can he be so sure that Merona is expecting me to save her, that doesn't make sense. With the body I have at the start, he can barely walk and definitely not strong even before the Knight's Rancor'

But as he thought of that, he remembered the family he had back in his home world.

Remembering his family back in his home world that is very disappointed in him and gives him cold shoulders, Ramero shrugs his shoulders and lies down on the ground, 'I'm sorry Lucas, I won't help you. It's not my business...'

[Constitution of Sparta - Legacy Skill]

Allows the host to become stronger through physical exercises by absorbing worldly energy. Stat points increase will depend on the exercises done, and the number of stat points gained would increase the harder the physical exercises the host does. On top of that, the host's desire for battle will be amplified as a side-effect of this Legacy Skill.

Early in the morning, Ramero woke up and instantly checks the description of his new Legacy Skill.

Upon seeing this he was excited as this basically meant he would be guaranteed to be stronger through physical exercises. It's true that his stats can grow naturally through his body becoming stronger, but that has a cap and would take time.

But with the Constitution of Sparta skill, he's guaranteed to gain stat points in each exercise.

Ramero tried the skill instantly by doing 100 push-ups in a row, and when he finished he gained 2,5 points in strength. It might sound low, but that is almost the amount of attributable stats he gained from a level-up.

If he can do 500 or even 1000 push-ups then the number increased dramatically.

Thanks to the Constitution of Sparta skill he now has another method to become stronger and also more efficient than leveling up, he can become stronger quickly with this Legacy Skill. Perfect for preparing for the upcoming performance.

As soon as the training session of the day started, Ramero instantly went to the Needle Mantis.

"I challenge you to a duel in the arena" Ramero said while pointing his sword forward.

Since the Gladiators aren't able to refuse Needle Mantis has to accept the challenge, the two of them then went up to the arena with a guard standing on the side to watch and act as a referee to this duel.

Needle Mantis stands across the arena with a three-meter spear in his hand.

Looking at Ramero who for some reason looks bigger and fiercer than yesterday, he decided to ask, "Noble Brat, why do you challenge me out of the blue like this? Is there anything, in particular, you want from me?"

"A shield, I want your shield" Ramero replied blatantly.

Upon hearing this Needle Mantis chuckled, he now realized that he was being challenged for a shield because he's the lower-ranked Gladiator that has a shield in his arsenal. And he was right to think like that.

"Gladiators! Take your stances!" the guard signaled from the side.

Ramero and Needle Mantis quickly get in their battle stances, readying themselves for the duel.

Even though he was not proficient in using a sword, he takes quite a sturdy stance with his sword in front and held by both of his hands. On the other side, Needle Mantis assumed a low stance with the spear raised beside his cheek.

Some of the other Gladiators decided to watch, a duel is always fun to watch.

The guard looks at the two before he nodded his head, "Start!"

Propelling himself forward like a rocket, Needle Mantis was caught off guard to see the speed Ramero is showing right now. Although he had watched how Ramero fights, the speed he's showing right now is unlike before.

It's way faster, almost as if he got stronger through one night alone.

Swoosh!

Not wanting to idle for too long, Needle Mantis thrust his spear forward reaching quite a distance away. But Ramero was ready, in terms of fighting skills he was confident that he was better than most of the Gladiators here.

The only thing that held him back was his lack of strength and body coordination.

But now that he has gotten substantially stronger, he can now harness his ability almost to the fullest extent. With a flick of his sword, Ramero parried the spear and knock it off its trajectory.

As a spear is bad at close quarters, Ramero lunges in and stands right in front of Needle Mantis.

Needle Mantis was petrified when he saw Ramero manage to get close really quickly, he wanted to jump back to reposition but Ramero already held his spear in place. Without wasting any time, Ramero decided to not use his sword and punched Needle Mantis in the gut.

"Huaakh!" Needle Mantis can feel the power behind that punch which makes him gassed out.

Ramero takes advantage of this brief moment of Needle Mantis hurting from the punch to land a nasty hit on the face with the back of his sword, it was so strong that it turned Needle Mantis' face to the other direction.

It was a one-sided fight, and the duel ended when kicking Needle Mantis in the gut.

Like a rolling ball, Needle Mantis got knocked out of the arena and landed on the ground. Even the guard was surprised to see that the duel ended in less than five seconds, Ramero completely dominated that fight.

"Winner! Noble Brat!" the guard announced.

Since he had won the fight Ramero jumps down from the arena before he went over to Needle Mantis' spot and takes the shield, he then went back to the corner and started to train again under the surprised gazes of the other Gladiators.

Each of them has one sentence inside their minds, 'When did he get that strong...?'
