[Rejuvenation's effect will get weaker and weaker as the host becomes stronger]

Ramero unconsciously halted his breathing as his eyes widened after reading the message from the system, he then sucked in a cold breath out of sheer surprise, "No way, this can't be happening..." he mutters softly, he tries to blink a couple of times hoping that it was nothing but an illusion.

But it's clearly not, the message is clearly written in front of his face.

From this message he now knows that he can't spam the main quest repeatedly due to this limitation, he's nearing his limit, and he can probably do two or three more sets before he's completely exhausted as the Rejuvenation will get weaker and weaker.

'Damn it, then I can only have a few tries before unable to go on' Ramero thought.

Clicking his tongue in displeasure, he decided to put the limitation on the back of his head and focuses on the task at hand. Since he's a man of his word, Ramero would definitely finish the main quest before this night ends no matter what.

The earlier the better, he needs to get some sleep for tomorrow after all.

Without thinking too much about the limitation he started running around the jail cell in order to finish the main quest, this time he can't stop at all and do all of the exercises in one go so that he can complete the main quest and gain the completion rewards.

Little by little he started to finish the exercises one by one until he reaches the final exercise.

Knowing that the next hardest exercise after the 5 km run would be the push-up, he did it right after the 5 km run. It's starting to get harder when he reaches the 40 reps, but thinking about Laughing Butcher that bullied him in mind gives him enough motivation to pull through.

For some reason, it was not as hard as he initially thought.

'Is it just me, or did the exercises get easier?' Ramero thought while rubbing his chin, he feels a source of power helping him go through the last 10 reps of the push-ups that made each rep way easier than he thought.

Weird is the only word he can think of about the situation, but it benefits him so it's fine.

Now what's left for him to do is 50 squats, Ramero doesn't have any difficulty in doing squats. Like every time he did squats, 50 squats doesn't feel like much as he blitz through it easily and finally finished the second main quest of Strong Body Strong Mind.

Ramero smiled upon seeing the rows of notifications from the system, he has made it halfway through the Strong Mind Strong Body main quest. On top of that, he also managed to raise a level that is much needed for tomorrow.

Aside from that, he also got his very first skill.

'With this, I should be quite fine tomorrow' Ramero thought and nodded inwardly.

But instead of going to sleep now, he wanted to maximize his preparation by training his body coordination. Since this body is quite untrained or maybe become stiff due to the Knight's Rancor poison, it's rather hard to move.

Usually, he already thought to dodge, but his body reacted late and resulted in him getting hit.

His new Front Kick skill, it's pretty straight forward so he doesn't need to train to use it. Probably tomorrow he would try to learn to activate it, now he needs to increase his body coordination which is way more important.

It's the essence of being able to fight, without high body coordination then he won't win.

Pondering for a moment Ramero then decided that he would shadow box to increase his body level of coordination. Even though the Rejuvenation didn't recover him fully, he still can keep on training for an hour at least.

Just as he was about to shadowbox, he stopped when he heard a whimper from the hallway.

"You dumb bitch! How can you mistakenly give the second-rank healing potion?! Now Judy can't be healed fully for tomorrow, do you understand what you have done?!" a guard can be heard yelling, and this caught Ramero's attention.

"Please! Forgive me... I didn't do it on purpose!"

Soon enough the guard who is dragging the woman that gave Ramero the potion before by the hair reached his jail cell, it was Captain Baldates, he glared at Ramero before looking at the empty vial on the ground.

Upon seeing that, his expression turned furious.

'Don't tell me she mistakenly gives me a valuable healing potion...' Ramero thought as he glance at the woman, he heard what they are talking about and can roughly guess that the woman mistakenly gives him the wrong healing potion.

Now that he thinks about it, the system told him that it was a rank two healing potion.

It's used to treat internal injuries that are caused by a basic spell. In simpler terms, it's a healing potion that should be given to Mages. But the woman mistakenly gave it to him, a new Gladiator that still doesn't have any record.

But then he realized something, 'Is that potion the thing that makes me stronger...?'

Angrily, Captain Baldates opened Ramero's jail cell and threw the woman inside.

Standing arrogantly by the door while pointing at the woman, Captain Baldates shouted, "You out of all people should understand, there's no more ingredient to make that rank-two healing potion for Judy! Because of your negligence, I'm going to have to report this to the Regulator"

"Since you gave it to him, pray that tomorrow he wins. If he didn't, I'm going to hang you naked!"

Ramero was at a loss for words as he saw the scene in front of him unfold, he doesn't know how to react as the woman started weeping her tears out. As if that was not enough, Captain Baldates wanted to kick the woman with his steel boots.

From the looks of it, the woman doesn't realize that she was about to get kicked.

It would be very painful for her if she didn't tense her body before getting a kick from that steel boot, Ramero's heart started beating faster. Without him realizing it, his body moved on its own and blocked the kick.

Clang!

Putting his body in the way, Ramero pushes the woman to the side and takes the hit.

A sharp pain instantly stabbed the side of his body as the steel boot is quite hard, he slammed to the wall while groaning in pain. Since Captain Baldates looks to be muscular underneath the thick armor, the kick is no joke.

Ramero doesn't know how this school works, but it seems Captain Baldates is as fierce as the Gladiators.

"How dare you protect her, Slave! Come here you little piece of shit, I'm angry enough that you drink the rank-two healing potion and now you dare to rebuke me?! It seems you need to be taught a lesson" Captain Baldates shouted roaring and grabbing Ramero by his tunic.

Upon realizing what happened, the woman yelped, "No! It's not his fault!"

But before the woman can grab him, Ramero already signaled her to stop lest she escalates this situation even worst. While still crying, the woman apologized using her eyes as she watch Captain Baldates lock her inside and take Ramero away.

A moment later, the full moon is shining through the square-shaped hole in the ceiling.

Crack!

"Grrhh!"

"Hrrghh!"

Inside a circle-shaped room, Ramero is tied in the middle kneeling with his arms chained to the ground. With his upper body exposed fully, Captain Baldates that brought him here whipped him ruthlessly without any mercy.

Lashing bloody marks can be seen traced on Ramero's back and they look horrifying.

Crack!

Ramero grunted in pain as his knees almost gave up and fall to the ground, but he endure the torture with his bulging eyes looking at the wall in front of him with a hint of anger. Clouds are covering his mind right now.

Mentally counting, Captain Baldates has already whipped him hard thirteen times already.

Although he can't see what kind of whip the guard is using, each strike feels like he was hit by bullets. Ramero is sure that the four edges of the whips are attached by something hard, possibly iron or bones.

"Even though you're new here, don't think that the school would let you off easy"

From the back, Captain Baldates keeps trash-talking while whipping Ramero repeatedly. It's unknown what kind of expression he's wearing right now, but Ramero can feel that each strike is filled with more power as if Captain Baldates is enjoying whipping him.

'I'll remember this...' Ramero thought while looking at the system's notifications that popped out.

[Side Quest - Slave Priest]

A Slave Priest accidentally gives the host a rank-two healing potion instead of the regular healing potion, she was threatened with being stripped naked and hanged if the host loses in the sparring tournament tomorrow. Spartans never let one's honor and dignity be robbed, win tomorrow's battle and save the Slave Priest's life and dignity!

Beat or kill the guard with a red band on his shoulder for enjoying torturing the host!

Not only does the incident this night trigger the Side Quest, but it also triggered the Vengeance Quest giving two quests for Ramero to finish simultaneously. 'Once again, without these quests, I would've still done that. I would try my best to win tomorrow and I also would pay for what this guard did to me as soon as I finished the main quests in this place'

With that Ramero completely endured the torture before he was brought back to his jail cell.

Only after he got whipped thirty times does he finally be brought back to his jail, he was thrown inside by Captain Baldates with his gruesome bleeding back. Seeing this, the woman covers her mouth from seeing the state Ramero is in.

Before leaving the jail cell, Captain Baldates spat at Ramero before locking the jail cell and leaving.

Even though she seems to be a priest and a doctor at the same time who treated the Gladiators in this school, she was horrified by the lashing injuries that covered Ramero's entire back. They were bleeding profusely and also turned black and blue.

Upon looking at this, the woman sits beside Ramero with tears falling down her lap.

For the most part, she blames herself for what happened to Ramero, if she hadn't accidentally given him the rank-two healing potion then none of this would've happened. Not only that, she has never seen him before.

It's clear to her now that he's new here, but he suffered like this because of her.

"Don't blame yourself..." a soft voice suddenly seeped into the woman's ears, her eyes widened as she saw Ramero slowly pushing himself up, "it's partly my fault for interfering, if I stayed silent then things might not go like this"

Ramero slowly sits up to look at the woman, he puts on a light smile while groaning softly.

"But then again, I wouldn't precisely be happy with myself to see a woman being beaten for a simple mistake that can be fixed with money. In a way, I did that for me so you don't have to feel bad" he added, trying to make the woman feel better.

With a soft tone, the woman looks down while fidgeting with her fingers. "Thank you"

Although he was putting on a slight smile on his face trying to hide the horrendous pain his back is suffering right now, it started to appear on his face that he was forcing himself. Something like this is the first experience for this new body of his, after all.

Succumbing to the otherworldly pain, Ramero cursed, "Fucking hell..."

Ramero falls face-first again which caught the woman off guard, she tries to call for him but his vision is already blurry, his body already went through so much this day and there's a limit to how much he can take.

On top of that, this probably happened due to the fact he had lost so much blood.

Looking at the woman that is clearly worried, calling for him despite her voice being muffled when it entered Ramero's ears, his eyelids started to feel heavy. The last scene he saw was the woman's hands summoning a weird blue light before he fall unconscious.
